About your question on 8-bit sounds, the answer to that if I'm not mistaken they'd call it "chiptunes" but their genre description is Electronic Loudrock with Idol music(J-pop) on top of it. Their genre qualifies as Idolcore to my knowlege. It's a mixture of Idol music and harder stuff. Some might put it into the Sub-Genre, Kawaii-Metal, but to what I feel, Kawaii-Metal doesn't cover all of what Japan has to offer in that direction, thus, Idolcore.

Live performance is Passcode's strong point imo. You should watch 一か八か. It's just soo good.
