I have just watched, on PBS America, a comprehensive film on Mr Carters life which I recommend to anyone let alone jazz lovers..followed up by this lovely, sensitive rendition.. His ideas and tone are truly masterful ...RM

The most beautiful version of Clifford Brown the trumpet player beside Lee Morgan with the Great Art Blakey born and bred out of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with quite a lot of jazz players including Billy Ecstine the band leader and Peter Deanda the actor. Of come back Charleston Blue Peter and Art Blakely are 1st cousin, look them up.
