    Thanks Alvin- my question is how do you manage action items without micromanaging - what's your suggested approach? And what's the best tool for managing action items /Raid log items, thanks in advance Alvin!!

      @alvinthepmofficial  10 дней назад +1

      Great topic, I'll add to my list of future video ideas to create! For managing action items and RAID Log, it'll depend on what your organization uses. For ease of use, I'd recommend Confluence, since it's extremely easy to keep track and update within your Team's Space. If not Confluence, then I'd recommend Excel, since almost every company uses it. Feel free to check out my previous video here where I go through the detail of the RAID Log: ruclips.net/video/1i_pYJXs-H0/видео.htmlsi=Km8WoZkOFrTtx2S6

    Hi! Great video, really appreciate your dedication to teaching and the role itself.
    I have experience leading installation and maintenance project teams on different countries and technologies for over 8 years. So from the technical leader in my field I want to expand my project manager skills and apply for project manager roles.
    I am starting at the end of the month a Project Manager course in my country (4 month course to learn agile, scrum and waterfall mothods on different tools and soft skills preparation). Do you think I should persue also the PMP while I am at the course or maybe after?
    You said that Software engineer was more stressful and less flexible than PM.. I didn't expect that, really? PM has much more responsability because he had to care for stakeholders also his team members, but for sure it is satisfying! Mostly when you have great impact on the company and the teams you manage

      Glad you found the video helpful, and you're enjoying the content! Thanks for sharing your experience, being a Project Manager is extremely rewarding, and it's very gratifying knowing that you're leading a huge initiative from start to finish!

      Regards to your question - To pursue your PMP, I recommend making sure you meet PMI's requirements first. If you already meet PMI's project management experience requirements and you plan to use your 4 month course to qualify for your PMP requirements, then I'd recommend going for your PMP after your course ends.

    I am a master's degree student in Engineering Management, and I graduated with a degree in Administration Management. My thesis is about project management in construction companies. I am also preparing for the PMP exam, although I do not have any experience in project management yet.
    Given my educational background and my thesis focus, do you think it is feasible for me to start my career as a supervisor or in a project management role immediately after graduation, even without prior experience in project management? Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for your information.
