- DISAPPOINTING!! Hotel Mediterranean palace Tenerife | Playa Las Americas | Full Hotel Tour | 4K 2024 I take you on a tour around the hotel MEDITERRANEAN palace in tenerife we check put the pool and bars & restaurant including the hotel lobby but it was a huge Disappointment this hotel is not ready and people are not happy. this hotel is defo not a 5 star

Staying In med palace just now. No problems whatsoever and plenty sunbeds at pool. Breakfast is lovely

Me and hubby have stayed there for years and love love love it!! It is in best location...beach out front...las Americas frenzy to right and chilled Cristianos on left and great shops behind..what else do u need?❤❤

5 star ian people have been told it was going be finished there happy to take their money tho but don't get the full experience
There’s no right time when opening a new hotel after renovation. What they should have done is offer the hotel on a price reduction then guests expectations wouldn’t have been set too high. It’s only rated has a 4*
Maybe actually pay to stay in a room there before giving a negative review next time?
First of all, I didn't review it. it was a tour, and I spoke to people who were disappointed 2nd I have heard from people who have stayed 3rd its a 5 star hotel that people are paying 2700 a week to stay so do u think it's OK to have all this trouble people are not happy but overall I like the hotel and have said it needs time

Mediterranean has the letter "R" in the middle of the word. If struggling you could call it Med Palace.
You didnt even stay in the hotel. Its like standing outside a restaurant reading the menu and commenting on the way the food tastes...Not wishing to be rude but possibly tidy youself up and look a little more professional and maybe reception would have accomodated you. We had no problem whatsoever being shown room's at the same time you visited.
If you give negative criticism you have to be willing to accept some level of criticism when truthful and warranted.
Quite appropriate to require you to move the electric cart outside.
Very negative review after speaking to 2 guests. Assumption made about loads of complaint..."Nooks and cranks" . I think you possibly mean nooks n crannys....oh please.. difficult to find someone who is in agreement with you unfortunately... Read the room please. 😳
@OH-HELL-NO... 1st, a lot of people are unhappy. 2nd, I had it in written beforehand to look at some room they since emailed me to apologise and offer me a 1 night free stay 3rd I was on hoilday and am not a business man 4th I later found out the hotel only give people who stay at hotel access to other room to look at. I'm really sorry, but, your last reply just confirmed that. Someone needs to tell you. You just can't understand why the hotel didn't want you walking about filming their premises and speaking to their guests in such a negative manner. You look like you've just fell out a pub down in Leith after a heavy session.
Go find another hobby and stop being so personally negative. People work at that premises and have pride in their work. I was not staying at the hotel and was given access. I could however pronounce their name.
It's Mediterranean Palace.

Few teething problems but give it a few months. The hotel itself looks stunning. Kinda feels like you're just after views.

if there's one thing i learned from staying at hotels in tenerife is that the stars don't seem to mean anything. they just throw them up left and right because it looks "fancy" and to attract guests. but if you compare a real 4 or 5 star hotel in paris to one on the canary islands you'll see the difference. on the islands they usually have very low standards and the attitude or not giving a shit or caring about details. the cleaning is slopy,dirt and stains on walls etc etc.
I remember when this hotel went open for the first time and people came over to the Princesa Dacil because the food was way much better than in the Med.
This hotel is too big for me and also far too expensive I got 14 nights 26th April until 10th May in another hotel self catering in Las Americas for £850 that was hotel flights coach transfers and 22kg case and 10kg cabin luggage ❤❤❤
The hotel has the same layout as before . I wouldn't happy having water coming out of the air con, especially when there's no doors on the wardrobe . Sorry, hotel, not for me, especially the price . They really should have opened in September and got everything done properly
Early days / snagging / trouble shooting - I’d be interested to know what it’s like full on open and busy - it’s far too big for our jolly’s , but looks decent

i called in and had a look around one day, it was like a hell hole with noisy kids screaming all over the place.
Reviewing something so early on is not great.
Give it 3 months then stay there and give an honest review.
I didn't review it I gave u tour and we spoke to people who said it was bad if people watch the full video they see that I was praising it up to the restaurant but did say lots of work to do

@@con2495 nooks and cranks ?....the term " nook's n cranny's " is an old coloqial Scottish term that refers to a small and sometimes awkward space within a room for instance. Such as, the room had lots of nook's and cranny's that collected dust and needed to be cleaned . Just for your info if you've never heard it before.
Is there a dress code for evening?
yes flip flops, footy shorts and a vest, or topless generally
Stayed 2nd of July for o e week air con leaked water running down wall we were moved all food cold workmen still working on electrics painting and general maintenance around hotel cosmetically looks lovely

5 star rated paid top price, but still needs management to look at food,2star. in general very poor. hopefully when it's finished it should be top class

We are going in October should be plenty more time for teething issues to be ironed out

Well, it is ok that they are having constructions going on. There will be always something to be repaired. But I would personally not prefer to pic a hotel with more than 100 rooms. The quality suffers and I don't want to feel like a cow in a stall. When you showed the restaurant area - it is absolutely not appealing - it looks like a neon-mensa - not nice at all.
I've booked for 2 weeks here nxt july

12:00 AVOID THIS HOTEL!! NOT 5*****!!! We booked several nights in July 2024 (240-300e/night, don't waste your money)! Do not let the attractive-looking outer areas mislead you! Here's why:
- buffet serves CHEAP FROZEN FOOD (watermelon was frozen!! avocado too and icy-cold coudn't eat!!, gyoza/springrolls cooked in front of you are frozen!!)
- very little choice for breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet and LOWEST QUALITY of produce (ham, salmon, cheese, cheapest yoghurts from supermarket nearby)
- they don't know how to cook porridge, it was watery...
- waiters/staff incompetent and don't speak English well enough, don't know the name of the food they serve even in Spanish (typical Tenerife dish made of beans I asked for), chef never smiles
- meals were so poor we weren't even looking forward to go and eat after the first day
- restaurant staff like birds of prey: they come and snatch the plate from you!
- no water offered with meals, you have to pay (2e60 to 3e60 per bottle per person)
- rooms/bathrooms are small
- no closing wardrobe in rooms but everything open (cleaning lady can see all your belongings hanging)
- ventilation makes noise all night IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP
- 2 days in a row ROOM NOT CLEANED BEFORE (!!!) after asking they 'forgot' and it was only done once during our stay
- pool always in the scorching sun even the babypool, no protection for children at all
- unable to use gym it was FLOODED (!!!) they had to get the spinning bikes out
- VERY LOUD childrens' disco in the afternoon (can't relax in the room) and completely useless (2 staff animators for 1 child one day)
- VERY LOUD amateur music until 11PM (your punishment for paying extra for a pool or sea-view room, ludicrous!!!), one night we were in bed and the music started et 10:30PM to finish at 11PM, woke us up, ridiculous!
- staff calls at 12PM sharp to command you to EVACUATE ROOM when announcing on arrival free check-out until 4PM because hotel only 70% full
- when you try to have a word with them they pretend they don't understand English and repeat the same PLATITUDES
- manager NEVER AVAILABLE ALWAYS IN A MEETING
We were duped by the attractive-looking finishing and the fact the hotel was new and allegedly a 5***** but we will never book again and go back to the hotel where we used to go which is not too far. There are much better 4***** hotels all around.
However, if you want to try book one night to try it out. For us it wasn't worth the high price.
@@Recordings-ov4hv that's really disappointing to read. Did you contact the hotel to give them feedback to see if there's anything they can do. Normally they are quite good at resolving problems. Any feedback from the Manager regarding your points. I personally cannot understand open wardrobe spaces. Bad for aesthetics and perticulary bad for personal security. Put all your belongings away and you close the doors. No reason for anyone to touch your items or see what you have. My wife has expensive clothes. Don't want them all on show. Bad idea and puts suspicion on housekeeping.
Open spaces make place look bigger on plans when room is empty, but, untidy when room is oppupied. Main reason obviously, much cheaper per room to renovate with no mirror doors. I would contact the hotel direct. Please give a quick update if you can. Many thanks... Regards... 😊

In my opinion little disappointing in parts EG Tarmac at the entrance does not leave a great impression especially with car parked at door

aesthetically the ground floor & other areas looked good though not fair on guests that work still not finished
We did see a standard room review ( from Tenerife Tez) but not impressed with the lack of storage especially the wardrobe area (no door etc) be interesting to see if superior rooms are better
Agree they should have waited until fully finished it’s disappointing for a 5*

It's simply not good enough to be charged top whack rates from day one and it's not finished. Even if it was you don't as you know you'll have some teething issues. Very poorly managed. It will be great when all done etc. I shan't be going till the hype and prices have fallen off. It's not worth the current prices at all!!
