I read this book in the mid eighties when at junior school. It was the first book that imbued a sense of visual imagery in my mind. It was quite profound and it played like a film. I just wanted to know more, it was a page turner. This book taught me that reading was an enjoyable and fun experience. A lesson I am eternally grateful for. Roald Dahl was an extremely important writer, who I know lit the imagination of many a young child’s mind. I’m glad I was of that generation who got to experience it first hand. Great memories.

fantastic! i have never been a great reader. this story filled my heart with joy! i just couldnt stop listening. my imagination really was capivated. thank you from my heart. The gentleman narating this story captured the essences of the characters and story. Rhould Dahl stories are very beatyfully written. this mans life was pretty incredible and he has left a footprint of love and magic in his path through life that touches your soul when you discover his beautyful work. thank you!
Lovely story of a lovely family up to shenanigans! My older brother and I read this together as kids, giggling madly. We had never even heard of a pheasant, but it is such a well written story that it is universal

fantastic! i have never been a great reader. this story filled my heart with joy! i just couldnt stop listening. my imagination really was capivated. thank you from my heart. The gentleman narating this story captured the essences of the characters and story. Rhould Dahl stories are very beatyfully written. this mans life was pretty incredible and he has left a footprint of love and magic in his path through life that touches your soul when you discover his beautyful work. thank you!

Lovely story of a lovely family up to shenanigans! My older brother and I read this together as kids, giggling madly. We had never even heard of a pheasant, but it is such a well written story that it is universal
