I am really happy that the Ocelotl has the weapons that he has. I also really hope that he speaks in the Nahuatl language in combat too. I am kinda sad that his scout feat doesn't use the death whistle, but I'm hoping that Ubi can change that pretty easily. Overall I definitely think I'm gonna give Angry Aztec Man a try.
On the warriors den stream the devs mentioned they had somebody that speaks Nahuatl do lines for the character and even videos online show that Ocelotl does indeed speak Nahuatl during combat.

Honestly I was expecting way more in the T1 mythbusters, they actually did a pretty good job on it no matter how you actually feel about the feat. Edit: After getting my hands on the hero I did some “Mythbusting” and confirmed you can jumpscare your friends in a lethal damage custom game.
on benchhead on one of the ziplines you can drop yourself into the water, wonder what happens if he does that while dead, does he die more? gets normally respawned? who knows but it will be the first thing i'll test when i get my hands on him
Wow good idea! I didn't realize the feat removes normal respawn. That can be pretty painful. Bet Oscelotls be prowling around heal zone ALL the time because of that!
Yeah you can already tell Ocelotal players in Breach are gonna be a real pain in the ass because of his tier 1. The short distance to enemies you can spawn in combined with the fact that he still regens health, essentially whoever has an Ocelotal on their team means they control the health zone the entire damn game lol. No counter play to it at all is the worst part.
They really did him so much justice loving it being a mexican and aztec decent it just brings me some happines my father in law is super big on viking samurai and Aztec stuff he absolutely loves how ocelot looks
I play primarily for Fashion and Gear so i'm really glad you brought up Super Bright and totally contrasting colors still looking good on this Hero. I don't know why nobody is talking about it because this is the first Hero in my opinion that can wear any and all colors and look amazing still which is exactly what I wanted for an Aztec Hero.
I wish he had an emote where he reloads his Weapon's obsidian since those weapons took damage over durability since they were much shaper than steel but broke more easily so that emote would have been cool
You were still right about the conquistadors tho. I am a little sad that there’s not more variation in HOW he uses his weapons, Slanderous actually had a really cool idea for them where attacking from one side would use one weapon and the other side would use the other. I’m also sorta sad that he doesn’t have more moves from his stance. Still really cool though
i thought the same, one thing they could have done with his tier 4 feat instead would be similar to the feat Scout, but instead of a de-buff, the enemy gets revealed for a whole minute, but if the Ozelotl gets killed within that 1 minute, he goes into his ghost form, and therefrom can use his pounce stance to jump on an oponent, and say it does 50 dmg, if he gets that complete pounce, he gets and instant revive with full health. but if he doesnt die, or gets interrupted, the effect only revealed for 1 minute. would give his stance some more use, and we would really get the fear of the Death whiste scream.

Still glad to see that BP (being the first and out of all the newly released heroes) is still the only one with a brand new mechanic. That’s Bulwark counter which practically counters 99% of all moves in the game-short of ballista, some traps, and guardbreak. Gryphon, Warmonger, Jormungandr, Kyoshin, Zhanhu, Pirate, Medjay, Nefari Afeera = No new moveset or “special” move. Most are common. Has bashes, dashes, disruptables, unblockable, undodgeables, all blocks. No really special move unlike BP’s Bulwark. Sure you can say it’s technically an All-Block. But unlock other All blocks that can parry only normal attacks, BP’s parries almost everything.

Interesting fact: When Spain was conquering Mexico they actually removed last names from Aztecs an just deemed them “Aztec Man” or “Aztec Woman”. On my family tree when we built it there are just many of those on there for their last names.
I love how ubi got the message with the macuahuitl of how it works man!, back in the past the macuahuitle was a combat weapon designed to incapacitate and break the enemy without take the kill, that was because they preferred to use them as sacrifices, slaves etc, in the executions he only finishes the final blow always with the spear, and that's awesome

Es Rufino Romero, es un maestro tanto de la universidad de la UNAM, como un hablante del Náhuatl, tanto del idioma clasico pre colombino, como del post moderno. Es de hecho maestro del idioma. Lo conozco porque yo estudie en la UNAM. Rufino Romero ademas es un actor, lo cual es impresionante y es bueno que lo eligieran, siendo honesto, como dicen en el Warriors Den, el guerrero en si tuvo que someterse a rehacer dialogos, porque algonas palabras del Nahuatl quedaban muy largos, asi que Rufino tuvo que usar palabras que se acercaran a un termino "corto" para que pudiera haber una total caracterizacion. No para mas es el actor de doblaje para el personaje de Ocelotl. que es literalmente Jaguar en el idioma anterior mencionado.
Beside the fact there are skins with Jade mask (because in the center of Mexico, jade wasn't part of the area, and was only used by the Maya, but, they used to trade with it in exchange of mud dishes), all of it is so damn good! I think is very accurate. I love to see part of my culture represented in this game! I truly never expected xd I whis For Honor add a Maya warrior, but, being honesto, the Maya were more schollars than warriors :)
Not gonna lie I left for honor a long time ago as a veteran of the game I'm not into the Aztecs. I love the weapons from history, but I've never been into the aesthetic of it. I'm just glad that they're finally adding alternate types of heroes.
Bom, visual muito foda. A power stance dele deveria, no mínimo, dar sangramento. Outra coisa que eu espero que ela faça é deixar o personagem oculto enquanto anda com ela (pra pegar alguém de surpresa). A tier 1 dele deveria ter que recarregar. Muito forte isso (mesmo que ele renasça com pouca vida), ele é quase imortal até alguém executar ele. A tier 2 é uma merda, muito fraco (se eu jogar bem, ela não faz nada). Deveria, ao menos, combar com a tier 1, fazendo com que o debuff durasse até o tempo do personagem renascer (max 1 min), permitindo que a gente ficasse assistindo nossos companheiros nos vingarem. A tier 3 é preguiçosa, mas é boa. A tier 4 é um scorpion sem sentido. Surge uma corda na lança, ele joga e puxa...quê? Scorpion com escoliose. Deveria cravar a lança e fazer uma animação pra pegar do peito do inimigo e dar um berrão (igual no trailer), ou algo assim...
As excited as I am for the new hero, I would be remiss if I didn’t say that his other feat selections are a bit disappointing. I was truly hoping for some options like deadly, bloodlust, sharpen, scout, and hell even something like stealth to make him even more unique and predator-like. I get that they are going with the whole “life-death” thing/vibe, but if you’re going to go with a predator-hunter hero, why not give him feats that apply to that role? Especially considering the historical background and weapon type that he has! Gameplay-wise, it would have been really cool to make bleed attacks a part of his kit. Imagine, like Afeera where she has different properties depending on which guard heavy she does, this hero could have had something similar: a displacing side heavy, top heavy applies small bleed damage over time, and a slightly faster other side heavy with a bit reduced damage. Going into his “hidden stance” gimmick, it would have been more interesting to see that if his attack lands on the opponent it could cause bleed or stun with the pin AND from there his moveset becomes faster and more versatile. Maybe his heavy attacks after successfully landing that “hidden stance” attack could now change properties and instead just apply undodgeable properties for a short time or until the bleed runs out. Might be a bit OP, but it sounds much more interesting to play instead of walking slightly faster. Like I said, I’m super excited to play him and I’m glad to have an Aztec hero, but there are some missed opportunities here in my opinion that I wish could have been implemented instead of what will be releasing tomorrow. Who knows, maybe Ubisoft changes some of these later down the line, but only time will tell.
Yea, I'm planing to play him when he comes live, but: 1: I'm afraid I'm going to get bored really quickly, because he's move set isn't too complicated 2: He will be nerfed, and then he'll turn in the worst berserker who relies on feints to deal dmg. 3: I'm disappointed he's got support perks, the same way they did with medjay, I was hoping for aramusha treatment or at least some mix with offensive perks..
This hero looks cool...and that's it, I'm not slanderous but after watching his video and stream I couldn't agree with him more on this subject. Like the other outlanders he had potential and good ideas behind them but the devs just kept playing it safe or are just lazy with coming up with new mechanics (no bleed mechanics that's part of his core moveset) probably will only put in 8 or 10 reps for the fashion but that's it for now
I'm probably going to have him unlucked, but as is the current deal with the outlanders - I simply don't enjoy them as much as some of the older heroes. And I tried Mr.Cat out in the training grounds, and he also felt similar in a sense to the other outlanders. just all over the place. But the theme/concept is a neat one. Sad that they fumbled the lore on him tho.
I might actually get back into the game with this. I just hope Ubisoft remembers Defense exists. You know the part where you stop throwing a kajillion attacks and actually try to outsmart the opponent instead of outnumber
My question for the tier 1 is if in dominion or breach, when your team breaks is it possible to revive the Ocelotl, or is he just stuck in limbo until the games over or you rally?
I assume if he dies before you’re breaking then he goes into sprit form as usual, if he dies while breaking then he’s gone until the breaking period ends in which case he probably then respawns as normal at spawn. Basically the tier 1 likely just turns off once you’re breaking but if you die prior to breaking then you should be able to come back whenever as your respawn is owed to you already.
@@cloverhale3021 thats fair to assume, but the question is also regarding if you're in the form, and your team begins to break, do you auto revive where you are? And with the delay before you "revive" into spirit form, are you just out of luck because of it? Likely, but he didn't show that test, only that you couldn't be revived by teammates
Yeah this hero is overpowered in banks. You can’t get revenge at all if they spam stun moves. And his feats are overpowered as hell. A guaranteed GB and heal on death with the ability to spawn anywhere. A For honor killer
Man I'd love to get back into this game, been waiting for an Aztec hero for so long, but no cross-save, and I really don't want to play 30fps on ye olde xbone anymore, dont want to leave 100 reps behind either though
Ok yeah this video basically just sums up that Ubisoft doesn't know what they are doing with the feats of most of the heroes in this game... They really should be working on that and not only just buffing and nerfing certain heroes or their existing exclusive feats.
Really looking forward to him because I love the idea of an Aztec warrior. But I am a bit worried that he might be too strong. I don't like winning because of a meta character.
@danieltukua4527 True. But then you have Characters like Valk who have been considered broken since the game released. I doubt Ubisoft really cares. I mean, the Characters in the campaign haven't had any of their movesets updated, and it's been years.
For once we have a hero where the flashy bright color schemes pair well with. Big mesoamerican history buff so ill have to dedicate some time to playing it when Im not working.
the only time Ive seen Iron Lung tier 1 equipped was one time on a Shugoki; Stealth would’ve been *perfect* for him. also I think Shaolin’s Qi trap would’ve been a good counter ‘cause qi is, like, spirit
I only wished this game with a new map aswell i love this hero but such a hero deserves a follow up map i hope the next reveal isnt a hero but like 2 maps i dont know if its too picky but would like atleast somewhere new

Outra coisa que eu espero que ela faça é deixar o personagem oculto enquanto anda com ela (pra pegar alguém de surpresa). A tier 1 dele deveria ter que recarregar. Muito forte isso (mesmo que ele renasça com pouca vida), ele é quase imortal até alguém executar ele. A tier 2 é uma merda, muito fraco (se eu jogar bem, ela não faz nada). Deveria, ao menos, combar com a tier 1, fazendo com que o debuff durasse até o tempo do personagem renascer (max 1 min), permitindo que a gente ficasse assistindo nossos companheiros nos vingarem. A tier 3 é preguiçosa, mas é boa. A tier 4 é um scorpion sem sentido. Surge uma corda na lança, ele joga e puxa...quê? Scorpion com escoliose. Deveria cravar a lança e fazer uma animação pra pegar do peito do inimigo e dar um berrão (igual no trailer), ou algo assim...

As excited as I am for the new hero, I would be remiss if I didn’t say that his other feat selections are a bit disappointing. I was truly hoping for some options like deadly, bloodlust, sharpen, scout, and hell even something like stealth to make him even more unique and predator-like. I get that they are going with the whole “life-death” thing/vibe, but if you’re going to go with a predator-hunter hero, why not give him feats that apply to that role? Especially considering the historical background and weapon type that he has!
Gameplay-wise, it would have been really cool to make bleed attacks a part of his kit. Imagine, like Afeera where she has different properties depending on which guard heavy she does, this hero could have had something similar: a displacing side heavy, top heavy applies small bleed damage over time, and a slightly faster other side heavy with a bit reduced damage. Going into his “hidden stance” gimmick, it would have been more interesting to see that if his attack lands on the opponent it could cause bleed or stun with the pin AND from there his moveset becomes faster and more versatile. Maybe his heavy attacks after successfully landing that “hidden stance” attack could now change properties and instead just apply undodgeable properties for a short time or until the bleed runs out. Might be a bit OP, but it sounds much more interesting to play instead of walking slightly faster.
Like I said, I’m super excited to play him and I’m glad to have an Aztec hero, but there are some missed opportunities here in my opinion that I wish could have been implemented instead of what will be releasing tomorrow. Who knows, maybe Ubisoft changes some of these later down the line, but only time will tell.
I might actually come back to this game for Ocelotl.

Yea, I'm planing to play him when he comes live, but:
1: I'm afraid I'm going to get bored really quickly, because he's move set isn't too complicated
2: He will be nerfed, and then he'll turn in the worst berserker who relies on feints to deal dmg.
3: I'm disappointed he's got support perks, the same way they did with medjay, I was hoping for aramusha treatment or at least some mix with offensive perks..

This hero looks cool...and that's it, I'm not slanderous but after watching his video and stream I couldn't agree with him more on this subject. Like the other outlanders he had potential and good ideas behind them but the devs just kept playing it safe or are just lazy with coming up with new mechanics (no bleed mechanics that's part of his core moveset) probably will only put in 8 or 10 reps for the fashion but that's it for now

I'm probably going to have him unlucked, but as is the current deal with the outlanders - I simply don't enjoy them as much as some of the older heroes. And I tried Mr.Cat out in the training grounds, and he also felt similar in a sense to the other outlanders. just all over the place.
But the theme/concept is a neat one.
Sad that they fumbled the lore on him tho.

My question for the tier 1 is if in dominion or breach, when your team breaks is it possible to revive the Ocelotl, or is he just stuck in limbo until the games over or you rally?
I assume if he dies before you’re breaking then he goes into sprit form as usual, if he dies while breaking then he’s gone until the breaking period ends in which case he probably then respawns as normal at spawn. Basically the tier 1 likely just turns off once you’re breaking but if you die prior to breaking then you should be able to come back whenever as your respawn is owed to you already.

It's simple- if you are breaking then you cant respawn like normal. You cannot be revived by a teammate whatsoever as it's an all-in perk.
@@cloverhale3021 thats fair to assume, but the question is also regarding if you're in the form, and your team begins to break, do you auto revive where you are? And with the delay before you "revive" into spirit form, are you just out of luck because of it? Likely, but he didn't show that test, only that you couldn't be revived by teammates
Yeah this hero is overpowered in banks. You can’t get revenge at all if they spam stun moves. And his feats are overpowered as hell. A guaranteed GB and heal on death with the ability to spawn anywhere. A For honor killer
Dissapointed he doesnt have any bleed attacks, t4 feat excluded. I mean, you had 1 job Ubi! Give the guy with obsidian blades bleed attacks!

Ok yeah this video basically just sums up that Ubisoft doesn't know what they are doing with the feats of most of the heroes in this game... They really should be working on that and not only just buffing and nerfing certain heroes or their existing exclusive feats.

While stealth aspect of jaguars would be nice, jaguar warriors were anything but stealthy,aztecs thrived on shock and awe tactics.
I only wished this game with a new map aswell i love this hero but such a hero deserves a follow up map i hope the next reveal isnt a hero but like 2 maps i dont know if its too picky but would like atleast somewhere new
