If you shop online or ebay your can get a g305 for around $30 or someone sells the guts on etsy for $24 and can get a viper mini for around 30ish as well. So without the 3d parts will cost you about 60 which sounds good but you can also snag an open box or used RVU for around 65 -70 so alot of options for value mice out there imo.
i’ve been really considering doing this as the viper mini is one of my favorite shapes. this will be my first time wireless modding though and i don’t want to make an expensive mistake!
This is one of the cheaper ones if you do. This is a good one to start as it doesn't require to much work. The viper shell if you keep the rear screw post as long as possible will allow you to fit it back on the stock viper mini base or you can glue it. Worse case you end up with a lighter viper mini 😜. The G305 you will just need to screw back together.
Is there a reason why the base plate is different to the viper mini wireless in your store? It's has a flat more rectangular front than the sloped baseplate you are using here on this video. Thanks! Great vid btw. Very educational 🫠👍

If you wanted a little less weight this could be an option. As far as i'm aware know one has made a custom base for that G603 pcb either so you would need to make one.

yeah its a nice touch from razer but its a shame the DA v2 does go back to having the screws under the skates 🙁. Hopefully, they look to make sure you don't in the future.

At that point anyone is much better off buying a different wireless mouse, even the noticeably more expensive one to avoid struggle and actually get what he buys it for. If the official product (Mini wireless) isnt available it doesnt mean DIY alternatives are viable or something a real user should be considering, they are just projects. Everything I mentioned is why this video is a just concept level thing or a prototype at its best and its far from a practical aspect and very far from something anyone should be doing for real use cases, doing otherwise is just irrational. Thats what I meant, I didnt discredit your work but it isnt really even a remotely optimal way to go for an actual user.

Yeah its a shame it came be more middle aligned. You could maybe glue it there. I didn't notice it having a balance issue tbh, well nothing that stood out. I found it if anything twitchy on longer sniper shots even at 68g

I prefer the symm 2 over this. Made one and fit to tpgether pretty well but prob needs a lil more cut out of shell. I could never get the left click to sit flush on the pcb like the right. Same with the front side button always had problems with them cuz of the mounting tray on the 3d printed shell. The print was ok in all but the seller was a massive prick off etzy. Will never buy from again. Dont bother asking any simple questions to him.

Awesome video, I hadn't realized until now that the mini doesnt require the removal of the skates to open it up. Pretty cool that razer did that.

The G305 is very efficient. I can get a few months out of it before charge. On a stock G305 with a AA I was getting around 6 months use.

You can pad the gap with Mylar tape.. depends how big it is
