    Jon, for when you get to Solstheim, just a helpful tip, you can get a sword enchanted with High Chaos from the blacksmith in Raven Rock (there may be other places, this is just the place I bought it from) before you do the March of the Dead quest, and the enchantment, which, as you probably know has a 50% chance to deal damage with each element.
    Like so Jon will see.

    • @doylerudolph7965
      @doylerudolph7965 7 лет назад

      D4rKw4rr10r 5606 Which means that it, on average, deals 150% of the damage of a weapon enchanted with one regular elemental enchantment.

    • @doylerudolph7965
      @doylerudolph7965 7 лет назад

      D4rKw4rr10r 5606 20 points of fire damage vs a 50% chance each of 20 points fire, frost, and shock damage. On the average hit, that will do 30 elemental damage, or 150% of the base elemental damage.

    • @MarquisSmith
      @MarquisSmith 7 лет назад

      D4rKw4rr10r 5606 - You're absolutely, 100% wrong. Look it up if you don't believe me.
      It's a fifty percent chance for each element to proc, dealing the damage listed.
      If you're lucky, you can get them all off at once. It's why the enchantment is so powerful.
      Not sure where you got the idea it deals a random percentage of damage.

    • @UnconsciousCardanTheForgetful
      @UnconsciousCardanTheForgetful 3 года назад

      @@Krishnath.Dragon the Thalmor that you saw would have been the random encounter that is often seen wandering the roads. As for why they attacked each other, I can only guess that Thalmor NPC’s might be coded to be hostile to vampires. I’ve also seen them attack other vampires off the road that they’ve bumped into. Do you remember who attacked first?
      There’s also the possibility that they were defending you. If you get into a fight around an NPC that you have a good reputation with, the game basically lists them as liking you and may come to your aid.
      Other than your encounter, I’ve never seen or heard of anything in game that confirms that they prefer Thalmor. It seems that their preferred targets are any traveller that won’t be noticed, this includes innocent people.
      But your theory is possible. Maybe there is something in the game files that confirms this theory but unfortunately I can’t find reference to it.
      But even if they do only target Thalmor, I would argue that murdering and eating anyone (even a literal nazi) would be wrong. A nazi is just a person who believes in some very silly, immoral ideas. To commit such an act would only ensure they can never realise they were wrong. Believing that they deserve this is no better than their beliefs. (Even though it’s very hard not to hate them).

      @@UnconsciousCardanTheForgetful Oh, the Thalmor fucking hates me almost immediately. It usually doesn't take long for them to turn hostile towards me, as for Hert and Hern, I tend to stay neutral towards them. Only really interacting with them if I do the brotherhood and get the quest to kill Hern.
      As for the Thalmor's belief, they are literally omnicidal maniacs that want to destroy mundus, that they are also Nazis is more of a coincidence.

    I think Jon might have a short term memory problem. He opens the episode pointedly saving one of his two fortify sneak necklaces and then proceeds to do a quest that requires sneak without using the necklace. And pointedly thanks an NPC for letting him know how to properly pronounce Boethia and then proceeds to repeatedly mispronounce it. Good job.

    I was only half listening at some points, so when I heard "Have you come to test your metal?" at 26:35, I was very excited about a musical stand-off at first.
    Also, after Boethiah said you were "devoid of pity" I almost expected a Benor compilation, culminating in sending him on his "holiday" so he would be spared.

    The gatekeeper for the settlement is supposed to trigger a conversation before you open the gate in order to give you a quest that'll prove your worth to the Orcs and allow you to trade. Orcish settlements have the master trainers for block and one handed in the different ones around Skyrim so it's almost worth doing.

    Jon keep that Ebony Mail. It's the best armor in the game. Sure it doesn't have the highest armor value but that 5 point AOE damage is a killer. It's unmitgated damage

    • @donovanfaust3227
      @donovanfaust3227 2 года назад

      This has got to be the first praise I've ever seen given to the Ebony Mail. The AOE is alright if you haven't invested in destruction and have a cloak. The problem with the Ebony Mail is you have to be sneaking for it to activate its AOE making your normal attacks slower and you have less maneuverability. Since it immediately damages anyone you sneak up on its useless as proper assassin gear as well I don't know, I'm not convinced, just seems like a cool novelty that quickly wears off to me.

    There's a few ways to be blood kin for the orcs, the most common is actually playing an orc, but helping some of the orcs around Skyrim will also work. And you're supposed to have one of the guards send you on a quest for The Forgemaster's Fingers, but it didn't happen for you for some reason.

    Couldn't see anyone else mention it. If you want to use the orc strongholds then find one where you can talk to someone before you enter. They'll ask you to do a quest for the forgemaster's fingers and if you give it, they'll tell the rest of the orc strongholds that you're ok and then you can come and go as you please.

    You just need to do a mission for the orcs and then they deal with you. The gate keeper should tell you about it.

    To get into an Orc Stronghold, There's normally an orc on the watchpost next to the gate, and you can ask how you can get access. They're then supposed to give you a quest to get something and then they let you in, if I recall. I think it also grants you access to all other strongholds. Being an Orc doesn't automatically grant you access, as you're still technically an "Outlander" to them

    About Orc settlements: as you approach some of them there will be someone telling you at the gate that your not allowed to enter... unless you help them somehow (generic fetch quest started). After that you will become friend of the Skyrim Orcs and will be allowed to all Orc settlements.
