Couple of Blacksmith Orcs in Markarth can send word to the strongholds that you're okay. Need to get a daedric heart for one or a smithing book for another

An Orcish settlement should give you a quest to find the Forgemasters Fingers, and you will become Blood-Kin, or else you can do the Daedric Quest involving Malacath.
Funny thing about killing all the bandits at Knifepoint Ridge stealthily: I don't think the game notices or cares if you charge in very unstealthlike, wake up everyone with a Dragon Shout, then fight them all the old fashioned way.
rcblazer yeah, kind of the issue with Bethesda's game development. This should be a quest that only people who have put some work into stealth, but the devs don't want anyone missing out so they remove the stealth element completely

Jon, for when you get to Solstheim, just a helpful tip, you can get a sword enchanted with High Chaos from the blacksmith in Raven Rock (there may be other places, this is just the place I bought it from) before you do the March of the Dead quest, and the enchantment, which, as you probably know has a 50% chance to deal damage with each element. Like so Jon will see.
D4rKw4rr10r 5606 20 points of fire damage vs a 50% chance each of 20 points fire, frost, and shock damage. On the average hit, that will do 30 elemental damage, or 150% of the base elemental damage.
D4rKw4rr10r 5606 - You're absolutely, 100% wrong. Look it up if you don't believe me. It's a fifty percent chance for each element to proc, dealing the damage listed. If that is what you meant, fair enough. Rereading your post with that in mind, it makes sense. It just doesn't seem like that is what you was saying, if you know what I mean.
You use Dynamo Cores for the daedric summoning ritual thingy under the college to get Daedric weapons. I don't remember the entire recipe but I think it takes a Centurion Dynamo Core, a Daedric Heart and an Ebony weapon to get the equivalent Daedric version of that Ebony weapon.
Noble Actual You can do the armor stack glitch in jails and wear multiple sets of gauntlets with the enchantment. If you're on PC you can also mess with the physics settings and you can send people flying with your punches because they do so much damage, It's hilarious to send people into orbit with the crouch uppercut (aka the crotch shot).

You can enchant it so your magic costs nothing to cast for one or two schools depending on if you have the perk that allows two enchantments on one item
There's a Dwemer area in one of the DLC's that requires three centurion Dynamo cores. You can fight three centurions nearby or bypass that by bringing your own. Perhaps more interestingly, they're also an ingredient for the atronach forge.

I think Jon might have a short term memory problem. And pointedly thanks an NPC for letting him know how to properly pronounce Boethia and then proceeds to repeatedly mispronounce it. Good job.

The gatekeeper for the settlement is supposed to trigger a conversation before you open the gate in order to give you a quest that'll prove your worth to the Orcs and allow you to trade. Dammit, Jon, that poor Frost Dragon was just trying to have bear for his last meal before committing suicide by giant, and you just had to keep him from his meal, didn't you, ya big meanie?
Jon keep that Ebony Mail. It's the best armor in the game. Sure it doesn't have the highest armor value but that 5 point AOE damage is a killer. It's unmitgated damage
This has got to be the first praise I've ever seen given to the Ebony Mail. The AOE is alright if you haven't invested in destruction and have a cloak. The problem with the Ebony Mail is you have to be sneaking for it to activate its AOE making your normal attacks slower and you have less maneuverability. Since it immediately damages anyone you sneak up on its useless as proper assassin gear as well I don't know, I'm not convinced, just seems like a cool novelty that quickly wears off to me.
There's a few ways to be blood kin for the orcs, the most common is actually playing an orc, but helping some of the orcs around Skyrim will also work. And you're supposed to have one of the guards send you on a quest for The Forgemaster's Fingers, but it didn't happen for you for some reason.

Fyi, if your sneak attack isnt doing enough damage, try dual wielding. A dual wielding power attack is quick enough to get in several strikes before detection, meaning multiple sneak attacks in a row :)
