Running around and testing my bike upgrades, the left side Zoom brake handle took a chunk of skin off my knuckle 2X at the same spot 30 days apart and that area of my knuckle still hurts today. I need to find a brake upgrade with a rounded off handle versus the rolled handle with the open side because my knuckle hits that same spot too much. Great video and the Zoom brakes are a lot better than the stock crap ones. Add speed; you'll need some better brakes required!
Thanks for the reply, another question for you. What are your thoughts on the Zoom 4 piston vs the more traditional style MX hydraulic brake kits a few companies offer. I’m not sure my son will be able to reach the lever on the mountain bike style as they are pretty far off the bar.
Looking at the hydraulic brakes, alot of good ones come from MTB. There are adapters to make them fit. My question is on the rotor thickness. MTB brakes fit 1.7 to 2 mm rotors. The original razor are 3mm. The 3mm appear stiffer and More robust. Is there an issue reducing the rotor thickness?
I havnt had any issues in the 20-30mph bikes. On the faster bikes I build (40-60mph) I’ve went to a full pit bike brake. You can find them on the ride or die R&D website 🤙
Biggest thing I appreciate out of this video, other than the perfect relay of information, is that you didn't hold the dang lav/lapel.mic in your hand like a dope! God I hate that.

Very cool! Check out some of my other videos. 630 is the measurement in millimeters for the front forks only. Rear shock is typically around 190mm on an MX frame 👍
@@VoltronWattsWe have the same bike in video. Bought 160mm that you recommended for rear, that should work? Or get 190mm?….. so front needs to be 630mm? Link for that. Bought everything from your web link
My cousin had that and rhey broke after he fell 2 times ive fell of my bike a few times and my brakes are still good but they are a even cheaper brand on ebay

I appreciate you boss! 🤜🤛
Totally diggin the Hurst sticker on the swing arm!
Hahaha! 💪
so helpful thank you! I got a video of you by the sphere during the ride out! 💯😎🤠
Ohh yea?! Hell yea! And thank you for watching 👊
These brakes make a night and day difference 👌
Huge improvement for not much money!
Do the 160mm brake rotor set you have as a link come with 2 rotors or just 1
Pretty sure it’s a single. I think 2 was $20
i think one of the links came with two 160mm
Do the zoom brakes fit the 180mm rotors you have in the deacription? Are there any modifications needed to fit a 180mm rotor?
The 180mm rotors fit if you get the right ones. The brakes generally come with a bracket that allows for 160mm discs.
at 0.16 what pmt tires are those can we all agree that he's the goat of custom builds.
I appreciate you 😆🤙

Question on the bike at the beginning, are those the CRF50 plastics without the rear fairings installed?
Yup.
Thx for sharing 😎✔️
Thank you for your support!🍻
I bought the shimano mt200s and for some reason there not working with the bolt on stuff
Bummer man. 👎
@@VoltronWatts do you know if you need a little piece to connect them?
What do you do with the brake cut off cable that disables the motor when the brakes are used?
Does zoom make a “left rear” or do you have to modify the Amazon stuff?
I’m pretty sure they do
Does it matter that the rear rotor is 160mm even though on the brake caliper, it says "R 140mm"
No. Just have to get the spacing right.
Is it worth the extra money for the 4 piston hydraulic brakes?
I think so if you’re going 30+ MPH on your bike 🚀

Where did you get the stickers for the razor?
Message Christian Castro on Facebook messenger 👌
I did these brakes. Now how do you get rear brake light to function???
If you want to run a rear brake light you have to get the levers that have the connection built in.

Do you have to replace the brake disc or can you keep the stock ones
Some people keep the stock discs. Some upgrade those too since they are pretty inexpensive 👌
What do you neeed
I need more context

I don’t have a video on that unfortunately
Is there adjustable brake lever my son is big enough and can handle the bike stock but his fingers aren’t quite long enough for the stock brake levers
There are, these in the video are not unfortunately
@@VoltronWatts would you possibly have a recommendation for adjustable ones
do Razor brake kits fit the Mototec dirt bike? 1600w dirt bike 🙃
I havnt switched between the two. I would imagine they are very close but I cannot 100% confirm

Im pretty sure that the first brakes link comes with two 160mm discs so you dont have to buy the extra ones. (the first link is also the cheapest!)
It does come with discs BUT the bolt pattern doesn’t fit the razor wheel 👍
@@VoltronWattshey I noticed on your Amazon link it looks like the disc you linked has a threaded insert. Does that stay on, or do you take it off?
@JermJerm-lz6lg I remove em and mount it directly to the wheel.
@@VoltronWatts thanks they’ll be here tomorrow
I’m 6 foot tall and I want a razor for 1300 but I want it like a height of a Surron a little smaller tho
Then you will need a taller fork, swing arm extensions and taller wheels 👍
