Chance Perdomo (Gen V, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) joins us this week to share his early experience with success on both sides of the pond and what sort of nerves and expectations come with joining beloved franchises like Sabrina and The Boys.
Chance is open about his gratitude for the tough love given by his single mother and the paternal chip on his shoulder that drove him to prove himself as an actor.
We also talk about the dangers of emulating Tom Cruise, leaving law school for a one year hiatus as an actor, and staying busy for sanity.

CHANCE PERDOMO: Emulating Tom Cruise, The Boys Spin-off Expectations & Leaving Law School to Act #insideofyou #chanceperdomo - Развлечения
Hearing that this was his first podcast was really sad to hear, rip man.
Getting this notification broke my heart. R.I.P. Chance. 💔
Passed away far too you young in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27. Our hearts are with him & his family. ❤
I cant believe you got to interview him. I was soooo heartbroken. He was such a beautiful soul! Im so glad you decided to air this episode. You're awesome!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Ok now im gonna watch the rest of podcast and cry and smile and just remember him.
RIP! He was so handsome and talented!
Prayers for his family and friends. Such a talented actor taken away from this Earth before his time.
Really glad you shared this. My mom died a few weeks ago, and I know how special this would be for Chance's family and friends to hear his voice again, as himself rather than in a role, just making conversation, laughing, and sharing his perspective. It woulda been sadder sitting shelved with no one to ever see it.
You're right. I also send you my deepest condolences. ❤
I’ve been friends with him since we were 16, I’m so happy I heard this
@@TMSokoya Thank you. It's been a rough year so far, can't wait for the sun to finally shine again.
@@anyarose1323 So sorry for your loss, friend. What a deep emptiness it must be for anyone who knew him, such a loss!
Oh man….that thumbnail was a gut punch and for him to talk about the new Gen V season is really sad. Such a good show and everyone was so excited for season 2.
Got the chills when he said he was off to New York in a couple weeks. So sad. R.I.P
R.I.P. Chance
I'll listen to this in your honor and memory
R.I.P. Chance........
Its very strange when a guest passes after they have been on the show, isn't it? You continue to inspire Michael.
Man I was shocked by Chance's passing. He passed away on the day of my birthday. Just stunned and couldn't believe it. He truly was a rising star and was gaining incredible momentum. He was heading back to Toronto to do the table read and start shooting the following Monday. This episode is just too good. I am so sad that Chance is no longer with us and it sucks. I can't believe this was his first podcast.
This is wild to watch. Especially, the beginning where he's talking about the healing he was able (ABLE) to experience with his father. I have been tearing up since the start of the episode. I just. Thank you for sharing this episode. This is very healing and is sitting on my heart tonight. I enjoyed him on screen and off & this snippet into his life and mind will live on. What an amazing soul and he is still a blessing to a lot of Black people in the arts. 🔆♥
This is very bittersweet, I’m very sad he’s gone, dude was a super talented and cool seeming guy, but having this interview with him will be a great way to honor him and remember the good times
Not gonna lie, I didn't expect Chance to casually mention Yasuke, the slave freed by Oda Nobunaga to be trained as a samurai. That's seriously such an interesting story to read about.
and here we are with the new Assassins creed game
My heart ached through the entire interview. He was such a cutie. God bless his soul and his family. He seemed like a sweet and kind person.
Wow had no idea about Chance. What a great interview. A very articulate, fun, smartly insightful and warm person he was. Thanks for sharing this video Michael. RIP Mr. Perdomo.
R.i.p chance, Great actor who was taken way too soon from us, and his family.
This was one of the best conversations I have watched in quite a while. As an actor starting out their journey in Cape Town, hearing how intentional Chance was, the advice he was given, the producer moves he was starting to make and the attitude of just going for what he sought to do, was both insightful and inspiring from both Chance and Michael. It was also immensely touching to hear his relationship with his mom, as I am no different with mine. Chance, thank you for the work you have done and I would have loved to see the results of the growth you were creating for yourself. May you rest in power. I send my regards and condolences to the Perdomo family. To his mother, you raised a fine and genuine young man.
Thank you Michael for creating this platform alongside your team, as it gives insight into an industry most only get to hear rumors of. These conversations have been incredible to hear, especially seeing actors as people and not only as people who work on their crafts. Looking forward to seeing you do more work on - screen, whether it be on web series, gaming, shorts, films or series. The best of Michael Rosenbaum has yet to be seen, and I look forward to one day sharing a set and a conversation with you.
Lastly, thank you for giving actors and creatives a chance to be themselves and to speak for themselves.
All love and praise from a kid from Cape Town, South Africa❤
I'm crying and haven't even started the interview part. He was so incredible. ❤
Me too. Just the unfulfilled promise of the future for him. 😢
What a guy. Truly heartbreaking listening to his future plans, but thanks for sharing the interview, the best tribute possible.
Wow man....RIP Chance. Thank you Michael shining light on him. Sending hugs.
Wow....This is sad....RIP man...
Michael,
Thank you for airing and letting Chance’s light shine. I am so heartbroken that this young brother was taken from us so soon.
You blessed us with this conversation. 😢
Sounds like he was a well-rounded guy. I didn't know about him, but I'm sure he will be missed by so many. ❤
If you can watch the chilling adventures of Sabrina, Chance played Ambrose, Sabrina's cousin, the show is teen/ adult, very very good show, Gen V is amazing, Chance really was a rising star and it's so unfortunate and sad he passed
You know I think it’s beautiful and a blessing that you got to have him on shortly before his passing, and that this was his first podcast. It gives fans, people, and his friends/family a chance to really hear from him and his out look at life. It even gives a chance for people who didn’t know of him to learn a lot about him. I pray for him and his family, but thank you Micheal and team for this episode!
Chance was a real one, loved that Tom Cruise was his inspiration and that his goal was to get into action. I really want to see Chance's wing walk footage! Cruise's was Brilliant. He's already missed, thanks for publishing this conversation
So sad that he passed. He was so good in Gen V was looking forward to seeing more of him. Thoughts for his family and friends . And thanks Rosey for releasing this episode. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
However good this conversation will be it will be bittersweet knowing he passed not too long ago
Rest in peace Chance Perdomo ❤️🕯️ Thank you for airing his interview with you Michael ❤ This episode made me cry. So sad. Sending love and prayers to you, his family and friends ❤️
I know nothing about this guy, but I heard the news a while back and was so sorry. In listening to him, I think, 'how grateful his biological father must feel to have reconnected with him'. At the same time, how heartbroken his mom and dads are. Condolences to his friends and family.
It absolutely broke my heart when I heard of his passing. Almost unfathomable. Thanks for uploading this, Michael. You can see Chance is a gem of a human being. Rest easy, sir.
Lovely words my brother!
What a beautiful way to honor him and his story ❤
First of all, right call to post this. It was good to see the man behind the character. He definitely had something about him and you could see he had a top career ahead of him. And that is what makes it all the more heartbreaking.
Great conversation. RIP Chance 🖤🕊️
I'm glad you had the chance to have this conversation, I hope people who know and love him can listen and "know him" one more time
Dang, he was so young man
🕯️Chance was Truly a Kind Soul Thanks for posting this Michael 💙🙏🕯️
I really feel for his loved ones, the unexpected loss of someone feels like the rug has been pulled out from under you, it changes you in ways you could never imagine.
People say grief is a two year thing, but the reality is grief never goes away, it just changes over time and you grow around the grief. I'm glad you released this, it's important for those who held him close to see this.
Oof heart sank seeing this uploaded. But happy to see a smile on his face ❤
Heartbreaking. What a lovely lad he seemed.
Good thing you aired the episode in his honor he seem very cool and daring the name "Chance" fits him well so sad so young may he RIP.
I haven't even gotten to the discussion with Chance in the video yet, but I wanted to pay my condolences really quickly. It stopped me in my tracks when my mom told me about the news article she was reading. I never saw any behind the scenes things or anything where Chance was just being himself 100%, but his characters really are that powerful that I just couldn't believe it, and still can't. I hope all of you that were close to him are doing alright. He must've been a really cool guy.
Thanks for posting this so that people like me who appreciated his work can know him a little better.
RIP Chance Perdomo, such a confident soul.
OMG am so not ready but at the same time; I miss him so much that I want to hear his voice again 😢😢😢😢 ; am ready to cry again, it's gonna be so hard but THANK YOU so much Michael for uploading this 😭😭😭❤❤❤..... I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU CHANCE ❤❤❤
I had the pleasure of meeting Chance a few yrs back while volunteering with Starfury conventions. He teased me all wkend for not seeing end game yet and would tease by shouting 'right so capt dies' I was like NOOOO! ALL WKEND and man did we laugh. Sat afternoon I tore my hip muscle, he teased me. He was so lovely. He was such a genuine person and I will treasure our interaction. What a guy!❤
Wow seeing this interview is surreal. RIP to such a young talent
Michael, thank you for airing this. I don't think I can watch it right now, but I do want to, and will come back to it.
I'm so glad Rosie got to do this interview. Chance was so good, and was only going to go higher. We all lost when this happened. Sympathies to those that knew him. How close was this done to when 'it' happened?
Broke my heart seeing this come up 💔😭 what a beautiful spirit. The brightest light always burns too quickly 😭
Up front, I did not at all know him or about the accident before watching this but spent the whole conversation thinking 'what a great, well grounded,, charming, young man'.
Genuinely sad that she world lost another man of that quality (thinking also of the shock loss of Chadwick Boseman so young). Can't imagine what they are going through, but his family should be proud of the man he was, and the part they played in shaping that man.
Thank you for sharing such a great interview.
I loved him on Sabrina❤❤❤
What a conversation and it hits different now, what a good guy he seemed to be... Rest in peace 🙏
Had the opportunity to meet Chance a few years ago. Such an amazing person. Still can’t believe he’s gone.
Thank you for everything you've done Chance❤ your Ambrose character was my all time favorite and you will be missed. Thank you Micheal for doing this interview and airing it, we get to see a little more of who Chance was as a person, since we've only really seen him in character. The killed by my debt movie I wasn't aware of until today and it's going on my list. I'm also a huge The Boys and Gen V fan and am saddened to see this interview and how excited Chance was to get back to filming for next season. Also the movie he did with Sean William Scott I'll be keeping an eye out for😢 this is just so sad and sending hugs and prayers to his family friends and anyone who knew him, and you Micheal for having just seen him before his passing😢
Very endearing episode and tribute to this kind man who left this world too soon. Thank you ❤️❤️🙏.
RIP CHANCE! Continue to be good to yourselves… all of you in the Crew of Inside of You, as well as all of the audience and commenters. 😢❤
What a beautiful podcast, and thank you for uploading this amazing interview. Rest in peace, Chance 🙏 gonna miss you 😔 what a lovely and legend actor
He was such a good actor. He was one of those people that you would just stop what your doing and watch no matter what they were on. I was excited to see how his career would unfold. Gone to soon. Its heartbreaking in a particular way when they are so young and full of promise like that.
This is so heavy. So much promise, so many future plans and so much optimism. We just never know what tomorrow has in store for us. RIP Chance 🙏🏾
Wow. Gone too soon but thank you for sharing this and his family allowing you to share it. He was such a shining light. RIP Chance.
Thank you for putting this out, I think this shows just what a loss this is. It's always the good ones that leave us far too soon. RIP Chance
I had to pause this 5 minutes in. Hearing Chance sound so high on life and excited for Gen V season 2, really broke my heart. 😞
I liked him in Gen V but never watched an interview of his, I'm happy to get to know him a little this way x
Watching this made me cry. His life was too short. Great dude. It was lucky we got to see him and see how he was as a person and talking. Couldn't stop being in tears we lost a good person. So young and full of aspirations.
Oh God Chance have lot of energy you can feel his enthusiasm talking 🥰 It hard to watch cuz its also heartbreaking 💔 the 1st time I saw Chance was in Sabrina and he play his character different that is why he really stands out 🤩 On the Gen V he switches everything you don't feel its the same guy on Sabrina, you know he will be a major player in the Entertainment Business 😭 I was shock hearing his passing I was thinking it must be a mistake, it just sad he has a bright future 😥 We will miss him dearly RIP Chance 🙏🏻
Thank you, Michael, for airing this 🙏 RIP Chance
Thank you for posting this podcast ❤
Thank you so incredibly much for sharing this with us Michael. It means the world. My heart is still too heavy to even watch this but I just wanted to express my gratitude, love and support. The world is already such a dark place and Chances presence is already significantly missed. Rest in Peace my darling Ambrose, my darling Chance. 🕊 🤍 I'm so very heartbroken 😭
Thank you so much for rebroadcasting this episode, Michael, in tribute to Chance who tragically passed away so young 💔💔 !!! I wasn’t suscribed at the time, so i listened to it with great emotion 😪! Chance was sensible and passionate 💘💘❤ ! All my thoughts are with his family and with you Michael and Ryan 💙💙💖💖 RIP Chance 🙏🙏🙏
Chance's fixation with daredevil tactics (particularly his description of copying Tom Cruise on the wings of the plane)...was eerie.
Still hard to believe he is gone. Good episode and R.I.P Chance.
This was a tuff watch - I have watched everything he's ever done and I had nothing but good thoughts and high hopes for Chance. I never got to meet you Chance but you were in my life through your work and I will take you with me in my memories. ❤
Thanks for sharing this. Was genuinely excited to see where his career was going to go. Heartbreaking that he's gone so soon. Aside from his talent he just seemed like a genuinely good human.
Appreciate you posting, thank you.
Thank you Michael for sharing this 😢it’s honestly heartbreaking 💔, I didn’t want it to end. R.I.P Chance you will be forever missed 😢
Saw this notification and my heart hurt but I am so glad to get the opportunity to watch it. Gone too soon! RIP Chance!
Thanks for putting this out. RIP Chance.
Putting this interview out there was absolutely a great way to honor Chance❤ I loved him in Sabrina and Gen V, and he was just such an awesome talented person on his way to do more great things. Thanks for sharing this with the world.
Showed up on my feed today and I was like, oh wow - is this an old one I missed? And then saw posted 3hr ago. Thank you for deciding to post it. As a huge fan of his since Gen V, it's both awesome to see this and absolutely devastating at the same time. RIP Chance.
Thank you so much Michael (Inside of you) for sharing this absolutely amazing interview and thank him for everything he gave as an actor, my most sincere condolences to his family, you will be remembered 🙏
I'm glad you chose to air this episode. I think it's great to see how much of kind soul Chance really was, and I'm sure this episode will leave a great impression of him on people. RIP Chance 💔
This news hit me hard. Rest in peace Chance. It was great to see this interview, thank you!
Thank you so much Michael (Inside of you) for sharing absolutely amazing interview to a talented actor my deeply condolences to his family 🙏
Thanks for sharing this episode with Chance.
Thank you for releasing this. My heart is still broken, and I’m still in so much disbelief… but this was a beautiful tribute 🤍
Thanks for post it and very touching info
I wasn't familiar with Chance when I clicked on this. I skipped the intro so I wasn't given the context, and I'm watching this thinking how much I liked this kid. It took most of the podcast before it clicked that this was the actor who was killed in the motorcycle accident recently, and I immediately slumped in my chair. Thank you for putting this up, Michael. I never would have known who he was as a person.
RIP chance awesome interview thank you for airing it
I don't think I'm ready to listen to this yet. So so sad 😢💔
Thank you for this.
Sending hugs to you both and thank you as always for the impression I love it and it makes me smile especially after watching this episode
Michael - it’s good that you decided to publish this episode. Let his thoughts and voice live!
This was such a great interview. I really enjoyed him, and I'm sad to see that he has passed I think he would have had a great career.
I listened to this on Apple Podcasts and it was great episode. I didn't know who Chance Perdomo was, but he seemed like a wonderful person. It's so sad that he passed at such a young age. He had so much to offer this world. RIP Chance. 😢💔
Chance was such a phenomenal actor and sweet soul, you could tell in every performance and interview and it shows very much here in this wonderful conversation. Rest in peace Chance ♥
Still cant believe this RIP. Thanks for sharing.
This is such a beautiful episode but one also filled with sadness at realising that this lovely young man will never be able to fulfil all those ambitions and desires that he talks about in this interview😢
what amazing person and talent. Gone way too soon. So much love and healing to his friends, family, and colleagues. Love you Chance, rest in peace ❤️🕊️
Thank you Michael!!!❤❤❤
