Sir i have doubt regarding to identify the problem whether it is short or long fin. Sir u told that when in prblems diameter and length are greater than 30 we should asumme as long fin
But in this question length is 50mm sir so why do you doesn't assume long fin. You took short fin formulas
    Y sir
    Plz explain

L/D greater than 30 bro... or they will mention term short or long

When val of Length is more then 5 cons it has infinite or long fin and less then 5 short you will understand it better when you will take out the efficiency for long and short fins

sir in perimeter and area we need to take lengh of the fin but u took lenth of cylinder ?

If there are 5 fins of different Lf then in calculation what we should consider for Lf? Lf = Length of fin

sir, why area isn't Lcy*Lfin? heat is transferred to surrounding from the fin side area. could you clear my doubt ,sir?

ss... but b is very small compared to L... so we usually neglect that one...

Sir in qs how are you assuming it is insulated even it is not given in qs so we need to take short fin with end not instulated

It can be assumed for both cases... Choose the easiest way.... Formula for end insulated seems easier...

Sir Perimeter is 1+1 = 2 m and you have taken 2 cm sir as lenth of cylinder is 1m not 1 cm
