    sir, why u have taken mass flow rate in(kg/min) in heat tranfer equa of 1st problem?, we have to take it in kg/s

    • @VENKATQ
      @VENKATQ  2 года назад +1

      On the same step mas flow rate is converted into kg/s

    to find engine oil properties Tm=147 degree C should we do interpolation to find out the values?

    • @VENKATQ
      @VENKATQ  3 года назад +1

      Yes..if u need exact answer do interpolation...else take nearest value...

    how to calculate outer diameter if only inner diameter is given in tube

  • @bhanukatakamsetti7105
    @bhanukatakamsetti7105 3 года назад +1

    Sir why the perimeter of the tube is π (Do+Di)

    • @VENKATQ
      @VENKATQ  3 года назад +1

      In Internal flow of non circular ducts the hydraulic diameter is 4A/P...
      Where P is the wetted perimeter...
      Annulus means the flow will be between two concentric tubes... so the outer surface of the inner tube and inner surface of the outer tube are get wetted...hence P = πDo + πDi...

    For Nu value databook has not just 3.66
    It has 3.66+((0.0668(D/L)Re Pr)/(1+0.04(D/L)Re Pr))
    Please confirm me with correct equation
    I have exam tomorrow

    • @VENKATQ
      @VENKATQ  3 года назад

      Don't get confused...it is 3.66 only...for the equation you ststed condition will be given in details...which will not be asked in examinations...
