For Haliburton, what makes him great is he makes his teamates better. His energy and ability to move the ball has rubbed off on others. He might not be an absolute killer, but he gets the team moving and they are just out running other teams which is what got them so far last year until they lost him vrs the Celtics.
As another Pacers fan I agree also. Once hali has it going it can get scary for almost all the other teams. Especially since we have amazing role players to back him up
If you just look at the stat sheet, his contributions aren't always noticable. But the pace really picks up when he is in the game. I have to give credit to TJ McConnel too, as he is still very reliable, but he doesn't have that insane 'oomph' that Haliburton brings. That said, they could use some more consistancy on their scoring in general. He gives them a lot of open looks that simply don't fall, while he himself is at lower efficiency than last year too.
4:54 Cavs fan. I would like to see us get a solid perimeter defender to come off the bench at either Guard position. Perimeter defense is the main thing we should try to improve
the bench has great perimeter defenders. caris levert, okoro, dean wade. the rookie jaylon tyson is very strong and slides his feet well, once he’s more comfortable on offence he’ll play big minutes
You missed the mark with your Haliburton take. His overall numbers are just being dragged by his awful start to the year. Averaging 21/9/4 on 49/41/87 splits over his last 15 games. I think everyone is just waiting on 2023 IST Hali to show up again, but thats just not very realistic now that he has another All-Star level player eating into his share of the workload. But he has been very good for the last month-ish, and the team is starting to click now that they are getting healthier
@@dmaster2 Well if you think Okongwo and Capella are centers that need to be upgraded, there are many teams that have worse centers. Also, Larry Nance was a good smallball 5 at the Pelicans, I'm pretty sure he can do that for the Hawks too if they play their larger wings. Nance is a very impactful defender and reasonable enough on offense. Since those options are all pretty median to good compared to the league, if you'd upgrade from those, you land into the good to sub-allstar level bigs, or the starplayer centers of the league and that is like .. 8 good to sub-allstar centers and 4 starplayer centers that would make an upgrade. Those are simply not available for trade. I can give you the list too: Poeltl, Lively II, Adebayo, Allen, Turner, Zubac and Lopez would make up the sub-allstars, while Embiid, AD, Jokic and Wemby would be the starplayer centers. @@three_cone i love al horford so so so much but if this isnt his last contract i would be shocked based entirely off what he has said and not off his game he still is one of the best 1v1 big defenders when he locks in
You really need to do more research on each team. The Spurs don't need a co-star for Wemby now. They're basically year-1 OKC. They're building a sustainable juggernaut. They already have 4 core guys in Wemby/Sochan/Vassell/Castle. They need another 3&D wing and a backup center to complete the roster.
Ideally, they could get a 2nd option that is young, preferrably someone that can take over from CP3 once he retires. You need him NOW though, so he can learn stuff from Chris Paul and he can coach him in this role. This is the absolute best year for the Spurs to land an amazing young pointguard. If they can't, they will become a team like the Nuggets that have 1 championship and then become worse every year because the team is outpricing the roster.
As a bucks fan, what I want to see the bucks get is a switchable defensive big. I feel like once we have someone like that, we’ll basically have no major weaknesses in our roster and can be put as a serious contender.
They don't really grow on trees, but I agree that it will help the team a lot. If that player is anywhere close to good, it is going to cost the Bucks more than Portis, Connaughton and a few low picks though.
There’s no way that happens, yall being over the second apron means you can’t consolidate contracts, and money has to be practically exact between the players being traded
Heavily disagree with the Spurs. They need to develop their young guys and focus their future around Wemby, Sochan and Castle. All three of them can be all defence players. Build your team around those 3 defensive juggernauts and you will be fine. What's the point of getting Fox right now? You give up Castle and probably Keldon alongside 2 FRP to get him and you achieve what? A first round exit in the West and you've lost your ROTY pg and future assets. Not worth it...
This is much better than a win-now trade. Spurs can build for the long term and should. Does Castle show enough promise to be that 2nd guy though? If anything, he's in a perfect spot with CP to develop him and Wemby as the perfect partner.
I believe spurs should shop around a second big to relieve the defensive weight of wemby when he’s off the court maybe move Zach Collin’s contract since he fell out the rotation
That was exactly what I was thinking when he showed up as the 'inconsistant PF'. His value is in being somewhat of a spacer (although he rarely takes the 3 pointers that he gets), a good rebounder and shotblocker around the rim, he is also a solid passer and can make good decisions with the ball and most importantly, he's an amazing 1v1 defender against wing-type players. This is why he is often in at the end of games over a Lively II, if they don't need his size and shotblocking. He's enough better of a shooter and better at keeping an important opposing scorer locked down. Overall though, Lively II is a much better option.
Outside of Kawhis return, Clippers really gotta figure out this backup center issue. Ever since they let Hartenstein walk so they could sign John Wall it's been an awful cycle of mediocrity, Moses Brown Mason Plumlee and now Mo Bamba. They NEED to be all in on getting Robert Williams from Portland or Kessler from Utah
I highly agree with the Celtics one. It just feel like Jayson has been the 1 no question and we saw what happens when Jayson is out. Jaylen may have had his stats, but 5 turnovers isn’t doing any favors.
This is not due to the greatness of Jayson Tatum, but if he's not on the court the most pressure is going to be on JB, which will result in turnovers. This is on any team that plays without their most important player on the court, the attention just shifts onto the next 'best' one. That is why the Celtics have been so succesful, none of their players are really bad and they can handle a lot of that pressure quite well.
While they're at it, let them stop by at the Pelicans too. They lost almost their entire roster at the start of this season. At some point, they had 1 starter and 1 bench option on the court, while the rest was filled with a rookie center (who thankfully is good) a bunch of two-way contracts and 3rd or 4th option bench warmers. If you think Orlando is having a rough time, it can always get worse.
I mean I take oblique over acls and issac tore his acl in the bubble which was last time the magic had a major injury. Rest were ticky tacky injury’s which suck but rather have rare acl and more chance oblique which is a muscle and last time they had that before their players had that was 2020 with Cole Anthony. Hi cone! I'm a Rockets fan and I know you're an OKC guy. Why do our fan bases tend to hate each other? I personally really like the thunder especially Shai
As a rockets fan you hit the nail on the head we really need a consistent scorer and I hate to say it Jalen just might be who he is as a player. He just too inconsistent and it’s shame because whenever he gets into a zone he shows why he was drafted number two overall and how he could be a premier scorer in this league but it just hasn’t happened yet
I'm a little bit miffed that you wrote the Pelicans off as a team that need everything, while they basically needed health. In comparison to the Magic for example, who lost their two main guys and now a third piece, the Pelicans lost nearly everyone. Their whole starting roster except Ingram, all of their backup roster too at some point, except Javonte Green. And while slowly their players are coming back to health, they finally lost Ingram too and haven't won a game since. Also, their record is really deceptive, as they had about a third or more of their losses that were very close games and perfectly winnable. Take the recent game against the Nuggets for example, without Ingram or Zion, or even Trey Murphy (who suffered an ankle sprain, thankfully nothing serious), they need to rely on players like CJ McCollum to close the game out. He's a great player, but not someone I have ever seen close the game out since he joined the Pelicans and even if he is playing really well and keeping them in the game, he's still one guy and you definitely need multiples, otherwise the defense is going to simply load up on that single player. This season is a total waste for them, they used their final contract year for Ingram for nothing and now they have to pay more players than their roster can hold. This means the team actively gets worse, at a time when you should be competing for at least a playoff spot. I'd say they give Ingram a slightly smaller contract, of about 10-15 million below his asking price and trade CJ McCollum away and play Jordan Hawkins in his spot. CJ is better, has a much more complete game at this time, but with Hawkins showing some quite insane flashes on defense and having technically a better shooting form to begin with, I'd take my chances on him. Some sacrifices needs to be made and hopefully they can get a half-ready Cooper Flagg out of the draft to bump this team back into contention, Zion or no Zion.
@@AirRusher1992 Having seen Valanciunas play for a few years, I can confidently say he's not an amazing rim protector. His value comes from being insanely strong and overpower most centers and rebound extremely well. In addition to that, he has a really well developed game around the basket, a good midrange shot and is both good at baiting fouls and making freethrows. He fits the Lakers well, who have quite a strong frontcourt already. I don't think it will be amazing paying him this much though, if he's only playing backup minutes. It'd be much more intriqued putting him at the 5 and let Davis roam. I would take a reliable Cam Johnson over Jalen Green any day. He's a very solid two-way player too, maybe less explosive or streaky, but consistancy is what you want for Houston, not fancy highlights.
For what it's worth, Randle is eeking out games they should have lost. Like the Mavs game, they had no business winning that but him keeping on hitting tough shot after tough shot and getting 8 (!!) assists for dunks and open threes was key to winning them the game. He's a much more important player to the Wolves that you make it look like and his playmaking is actually key as they really struggle with that.
I WISH, the Heat would FIRE,coach Spo. The past 4 years,he has F up this team doesn't play his tall player's, has made very bad decisions, makes too many excuses. It's time for a new coach.
Chet is too fragile, he tweaked his leg last year on a non-contact play and that was catastrophic. Now he landed and shattered his hip. How long we gonna play Operation? This guy is good but 100% his career will be defined by his glass structure.
Rockets need a pg and to get rid of jalen green. Him and van vleet have never been efficient players. I have given up on jalen. The easiest answer for the rockets right now is to trade for fox if he becomes available and to play cam whitmore over jalen green because cam knows how to put it in the hoop jalen doesn't
To be honest, I don't expect them to win anything without at least Ingram or Zion, but they get awfully close sometimes. I just wish Dejounte was the player he promised to be, but he's been wildly inefficient and a turnover machine at times too. They need a real star to pick up the slack and Ingram and Zion have proven to be able to do so.
Atlanta can't have another player maker unless Trey Young isn't being an egotistical moron. Sure he's an incredible player but he needs to learn how to work well with a partner.
I fucking hate watching these every time for clippers it’s get healthy be healthy come back pg come back Kawhi say big, guard, 3pt shooting or something damn.
2025 trade deadline is not even here and you think you know what they need for NEXT SEASON????.... Okey Mr. GM LMAO At least put in ideas for trades bc this doesn't make sense
It's quick and dirty takes. What did you expect, a full blown analysis? If he was going to do that, he can't address each team. Like he said at the start of the video, these are the types of things his viewers generally like, as at least all the teams are getting some attention. If he does a deep dive into a single team (like the Thunder for example, as it is his team which he probably knows the most about), it is getting lot less views by people that have no interest in that.
i cant wait until the pelicans mess up your favorite team, everyone is bashing on them and its unwaranted. they are the most injured team in the league, unlucky....
This was my point too. Why talk about Orlando being unlucky, while the Pelicans missed everyone except 1 starter and 1 bench player at some point. Sure, most of them are back now, but their most important 2 starplayers aren't and their backup pg that is the team's soul is also still out. Now there is a lot to dislike about this season, mainly their insanely bad record and a very underwhelming Dejounté Murray, but a third of their losses were very close and perfectly winnable with a good closer on the team. (like Ingram or Zion tend to be)
SAC already broke their roster by signing perrenial all-time loser DRozan. Fox already declined contract extension. Man u needa focus instead of trying to 360 no scope the whole league. This is just frustrating to listen to. U tryin to do too much.

He's a much more important player to the Wolves that you make it look like and his playmaking is actually key as they really struggle with that.
Bro the Magic haven’t been dealing with quads it’s obliques. Do your research
Jaylen brown is having the best playmaking season of his career lol
Raptors: the first overall pick
Hornets need a real power foward someone 6’8 or taller, miles bridges ain’t it
W CONE
Just need Chet back healthy
I WISH, the Heat would FIRE,coach Spo. The past 4 years,he has F up this team doesn't play his tall player's, has made very bad decisions, makes too many excuses. It's time for a new coach.
New Orleans needs to trade Williamson
Chet is too fragile, he tweaked his leg last year on a non-contact play and that was catastrophic. Now he landed and shattered his hip. How long we gonna play Operation? This guy is good but 100% his career will be defined by his glass structure.
Get Chet back for the Thunder
Rockets need a pg and to get rid of jalen green. Him and van vleet have never been efficient players. I have given up on jalen. The easiest answer for the rockets right now is to trade for fox if he becomes available and to play cam whitmore over jalen green because cam knows how to put it in the hoop jalen doesn't
The pelicans are like the 76ers of the west but far worse
To be honest, I don't expect them to win anything without at least Ingram or Zion, but they get awfully close sometimes. I just wish Dejounte was the player he promised to be, but he's been wildly inefficient and a turnover machine at times too.
They need a real star to pick up the slack and Ingram and Zion have proven to be able to do so.
cone not giving me credit for the wolves pick smhz im kidding im kidding (i commented better pg play on your tweet lol)
Kawhi will not return. I'm done believing.
Only 7 views in 1 minute? The falloff is wild fr fr fr
Devine booker/ dearon fox overratedb spurs need trey murpgy from pels/ are zion ill not giving up much for him
Atlanta can't have another player maker unless Trey Young isn't being an egotistical moron.
Okey Mr. GM LMAO
At least put in ideas for trades bc this doesn't make sense
