Or maybe letting go of this neurotypical compulsion of trying to constantly define and defend a self from everything and everyone that isn't. Not fretting if you don't have a favourite colour, a special motto or local dog catcher politician you have a cult-like devotion to, unless they're a special interest. Being happy throwing on a top warn by the opposite sex without having to think you're gender queer, unless you are. In the world of the self, perhaps some ought to say a few of us are merely a bundle of preferences and aversions we don't feel the need to constantly analyze.
