Thank you. There is a lot of information available on a poorly developed sense of self, but very little offers practical advice and nothing else seems to be from an autism perspective. This is immensely helpful.

Sound and clear guidelines for finding your happy place in a world that doesn't understand the true importance of diversity.

Or maybe letting go of this neurotypical compulsion of trying to constantly define and defend a self from everything and everyone that isn't. Not fretting if you don't have a favourite colour, a special motto or local dog catcher politician you have a cult-like devotion to, unless they're a special interest. Being happy throwing on a top warn by the opposite sex without having to think you're gender queer, unless you are. In the world of the self, perhaps some ought to say a few of us are merely a bundle of preferences and aversions we don't feel the need to constantly analyze.
