I really like Christina Henry's work, I'm a hesitant about this one, just because her last book (Good Girls Don't Die) was a huge disappointment. Less so after hearing your thoughts, but I do wonder if perhaps she's stronger at her more fantastical horror work, for me, such as Lost Boy and Alice.
I thought that my darling dreadful things would be very paranormal/thriller like and not really about mental health issues… now I’m not so hyped to read it 😅
