Christina uses her voice in lots of different ways, and not everyone is going to like the choices she makes. It can be easy to forget that she is capable of producing moments of extreme beauty like this. When she’s in this kind of mood, I don’t think anybody matches her. Imagine being able to whip THAT voice out of your back pocket whenever you felt like it. Wow…
Right, you can tell when sis is not feeling it. But when she is, no one competes with her.
Yes not everyone will like the choices she makes but we ALL have free will. Ppl need to respect that or their hypocrites. No human is immune from doing something that someone else finds annoying. No one escapes that

She's not boring and gives you so much.
The biggest issue she has is rolling back her tongue, minimising the space in her throat making a ‘Mr Bean’ sound. She’s obsessed with doing it.

I'm leaning more towards this performance being dubbed than pre recorded, some parts just sounded too perfect. It is still HER voice though, which was incredible
I don't know if it's possible for it appears her voice is aging backwards if that makes any sense.
She certainly don't sing the conventional way and has been criticized for her technique but yet after all these years she managed to maintain her voice.
Clearly her vocal cords are made of steel or either she just knows her voice really good to do so called unconventional things without damage ir a combination if both.
I'm excited for her new era. Georgina, you should react to her loyal brave and true performance on Jimmy kimmel 2020. Just stunning vocals.
Exactly her voice IS aging backwards. If u ask me she has had 3 primes in her career so far where her voice was impeccable and I’ll list them in order of my preference:
1. Third Prime (2018-2021): u can hear it in the new reflection version and in the live performances of this period her voice has never sounded this full and this polished. The epic endings of Twice and the riffs were unmatched. Her acoustic renditions of Lift Me Up/Voice Within were her best yet.
2. First Prime (2001): She has yet to sound on record as good as she sounded on Nobody Wants to be Lonely & Lady Marmalade.
3. Second Prime (2005-2007): everything on Back to Basics, A Song For You at Grammys, Man’s World at Grammys.

I do understand what you mean, but some singers just have that, I dunno, ability to overcome stuff. Don’t forget, Aretha Franklin was a smoker of reportedly 60 cigarettes a day. Basically a lifelong chain smoker, and while her voice did age, she maintained a majority of what made her great. Maybe Christina does have vocal chords of steel. Note, I’m not comparing the two singers in any way, just to say some have that thing
It's just as you said, she knows her voice so well that she's able to do things that wouldn't necessarily be advisable but she knows her limits and she knows how far to push it. In the end, she's all in favor of adding textures to her voice, because of the artists she's inspired by (mostly black soul singers from the 40's-60's)

No girl... she's not flat. She was doing a kind of glissando down. It's paying homage to old style Disney background chorus singing.

I'm so happy you've finally reacted to a recent Christina performance. I've only been pushing for about a year to get a recent Christina reaction.
I felt there was quite a lot of compression in parts and while I'm not convinced that it was "entirely" live (it's Disney after all) Christina was amazing, as she always is. Her voice is ridiculously great, and I agree on her head voice being phenomenal. I love the growls, and light tones, the flexibility in her runs. Even if this wasn't entirely live, she still bloody sung those notes. I have always loved Christina voice, even when she doesn't always get it perfectly get it right. She pretty much always sings live, and in this culture we have of style over substance, I admire that! She is one of the greatest singers of my generation! Can we please bring back talent over those who are famous for nothing more than famous parents or reality telly? Please?

Xtina is my favorite. I know that she's a lot for some people and she does somethings "wrong" for the health of the voice, but I absolutely love her. Disney informed that all the performances on this event were live. Been I fan of Xtina for over 2 decades I also know she always has a hard time lipsyncing hahaha usually makes mistakes when she does. So, I believe it was live, but even if it wasen't it dosen't take anithing from her ability and talent. Thanks, Georgina!
Incredible performance by Christina, There is another version of this performance floating around on youtube of her singing reflections and loyal brave and true from Mulan which is also incredible, not sure if the other performance is just a rehearsal but it was also for the 50th celebration, there both equally great and definitely worth a watch!

I love Christina!! She was stunning! The video was pre - filmed, but the Orquestra and Christina were live at the moment, and you could watch it at the "behind scenes". This new Christina, that's a combination of decades of knowledge and experiences, is certainly the best! She also was amazing with The Phil in LA directed by Gustavo Dudamel a couple of months ago.
Christina is just amazing.....she is a walking breathing and singing VOICE lesson for anyone wanting to sing great pop and record great vocals...her technique is impeccable.

4:09 that wasn’t “flat”, it was a chromatic ascension and it’s one of the most difficult scales to execute live. It’s a musician approach to singing, not MT. She actually did (to be very precise) a 5 steps chromatic ascension from F5 to C5 which only an acute singer with a jazz background can execute with that ease.

How could anyone say that this performance was too much?! Some of her others? Of course. But this performance practically mimics the original pop recording of the song and adds extra emotions. This was a perfect performance. Not too much, but not too little.

Thank you for taking the time to review Christina. I was saddened that you kinda stopped reacting to her performances. But, I do think she has been working on her voice some especially this year. She did a killer performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Would love to see you react to it as well. She opened with At Last and the Second song was Ain't No Other Man. The opening note for ANOM really had some of the best agility she has ever performed live. Make sure if you check it that you watch the second night performance because although her first night was great she had nerves that make her voice sound a bit less full than the second night where she just let it all out. People like Ariana Grande even attended the concert.

I can't help but sing country music. I have a country voice naturally.. I hired a coach who worked with Disney stars and he got me in great shap to play the theater role of the beast in beauty and the beast. It was an incredible experience. So lots of thanks to vocal coaches!! 👍

And people still do this day say she is over rated or has dreadful technique GARBAGE. This lady is one of the best singers of our time period, wonderful head voice especially and sounds like a lion when she gets going. Power in her voice is unmatched. Since she said she is a little bit flat...it means that it is live. You have to have the ears to spot those bits.
The "gui" sound in Aguilera is pronounced like the "gui" in guitar.
