    I'm siding with the police on this one. These kids be acting wreckless, and it's scary.

    Bad parenting is the problem…. It’s always the people who have kids that shouldn’t

    Calderone is right about why there is a shortage of Police Officers in Boston. (Rampant crime, $900,000 houses, and failing schools). But what about the general population of non-Police Officers who have to tolerate these miserable conditions ?
    The Middle Class is almost extinct in Boston. Boston is now populated by millionaires who live in heavily guarded buildings and an Under-Class, or Ghetto population of about 250,000. This is the perfect set-up for discord, mayhem, and violence.
    I think that a lot of the Middle Class population saw this coming way back in the 1970's and moved out of the city at that point.

    All of the cops should agree to call in sick on a weekend. Blue flu. It happened in Buffalo years ago.

    The parents are not raising these kids properly some of them unfortunately are being raised without fathers in the home. Some women don't have the slightest idea how to raise a boy and just ignore the signs or simply don't want to do the work .They need to address the parenting issues with the parent if they can't control these kids put them in reform schools keep them locked up .Its hard to believe how disrespectful these kids are imagine what the ones supposedly raising them are like unbelievable!

    There would be LESS CRIMES if Prosecutors stop giving lenient plea deals & try these cases.

    I remember when I went to take the Boston Police exam, they had all the Black people in the room raise their hand and went on to say that only a handful of us will make it through. I passed with a 98% but failed due to having a suspended license 20 year prior when I was 18. BPD is the good ole boys club. Like every job in the city, it's all about who you know

      So true, but not just about Police exams. Entry into most jobs is a matter of connections, and the ability to schmooze at just the right connection points. I have been through this, many times. 98% and higher on exams sometimes only took me to the point at which a higher up would cut me out to push forward a person who had schmoozed into a place of favor. (I am White. )
      This frustrating situation might have seemed like racism to you, but I am sure that it was not. I have been bumped to the side and forced out (even with my top scores) to create spaces for all different races. This happens.
      I can see how a Black person trying to forge into new employment territory might lack connections for that final segment of the process. A pioneer is going to lack connections. You are correct that it's all about "knowing someone" but I don't agree that this is the same as racism.
      You write a comment like a decent person. Keep on forging ahead. Make those connections and succeed.

      I passed the test for Boston Police exam too and came down to the last few candidates. I got knocked off the list because I was not that fluent as the other person in our native language. I would of made a great police officer and I would of climbed up the ranks if I was hired. That was around 20 years ago.

    Bad transportation homeless encampment no jobs dirty streets where's the love the government keeps letting these issues spill until is to late 😢

    • @ceceliaclarke
      @ceceliaclarke 9 месяцев назад +1

      @luisSanchez-id8em...Just what exactly is your progressive liberal point? My response to your comment: I have done my time as a below the poverty line person; and I have lived in cities and towns with bare minimum (and expensive) transportation systems. What I have NEVER done: I have never participated in a brawl on any street, anywhere. I have never thrown anything at a cop (not ever).
      So what you can do with your "where is the love" excuses for violence and destruction: put-a-sock-in it.
      Excuses like yours contribute to these problems.
