@MadDog88 the NCR is not exactly great (spouting nonsense, literally not being able to kill people who only have knives, being condescending when it’s not gonna help with their being palatable to the public), but there’s some folks who are in it that are gems, or simply flawed people who only want to help; it’s the group and how they present themselves that is flawed. Plus, attacking caravans isn’t a great way to send a message of “I want to create a revolution, I believe in the betterment of the community”, I wouldn’t go with him when it comes to politics.

I said the same thing after watching this video. It way better than killing or sending them to prison for a longer sentence by the NCR😒.
I loved helping the great Khans love their tribal culture, just chilling and relaxing, selling chems, hunting and gathering, I would roleplay as a scavenger hunter and gatherer especially hunting and gathering making stuff at campfires to sell at the great Khans merchant south of red rock canyon making it feel like I'm supporting my tribe lol

I wanna point out that the Vault here is also Commentary on Old School Gang Culture between Bloods (Red Section) and Crips (Blue Section). Paranoia leads to Gang Culture, both sides sharing Turf, and most importantly....unjustified hate toward each other....
Even though this game is old, mine was broke. I had none of those dialogue options. I talked to them about everything before I got any of that shit. I picked pocketed their pockets and got both those cards and after I went underneath the entire place after looting the place then I came back to the other guy and he’s like blow up that sulfur so he can’t make bombs and that’s all I got, I drink water to see if they would do something to my character

this one is easy to miss. because it is south of powder ganger territory, but
north of vegas. that means you have to make the way all around mojave,
then go north...or go south from goodsprings, which one does not simply

doesnt matter at all, if you ignore them alltogether. so if you are not out for a prison break/outlaw story...why bother?
Starting a new playthrough, I'm going to use the Hunter's farmhouse near by this area as my player home since it has safe storage containers, just a mix up from the usual lucky 38 and Novac motel room.

I blew them all up, they may be remorseful but they all still participated in a prison break that killed several guards and the warden. What if you side with Cooke, entered through the back door and then elevator to the Blue Overseer's office while the door is shut before you went to Papa Khan?
That was a weird mission. If your head for the red office first you'll never meet Lem because the door is locked after talking to Cooke. And I used a lot of time trying to find the key to the blue office. -- Returning to the Vault after talking to the Khans the blue office is suddenly miracleously open und you find the red blob on the floor without ever learning what happened or that this was Lem. -- Game design wise a bit clunky, I must say.

If I was the NCR, I would give Phillip Lem and the Powder Gangers an official pardon if they serve community service in the form of a tour of duty in the NCR military. They can repay their debt to society and help reform them. It would also give them a job, food/water and a place to rest their head.

I always figured that Cooke was a red herring because powder ganger clues + deathclaw territory sounds like a trap for lowbies who don't know what a deathclaw is.

Fallout 3, going west for the dart gun. Snuck pass a few super mutants, but ending up too close to the Deathclaw Sanctuary. Idiot me tried to outrun one when it spotted me. Took 2 hits before my character ragdolled and the stinger played.

Well the Great khans arent so bad, yeah they make drugs, but you can just tell the guy to start making more stimpaks and other helpfull stuff. And I really love that ending where the khans teamup and help the followers of the apocalypse.

They're not really raiders either. I mean, sure they're not shining paragons of morality, but they're not the Fiends. The worst thing they do is manufacture chems that the NCR declared illegal. They make their own food, they don't go out murdering and stealing from settlers (not anymore at least.), and they're not immediately hostile to outsiders. The only real reason they supply the Fiends is so they can get back at the NCR for Bitter Springs.
Unless you played the first fallout game, where the Khans were nothing but brutal raiders that killed and kidnapped people from Shady Sands (the town that started the republic) including their leaders daughter. They sort of had it coming when the NCR brutalized them.
This is the Khans after getting their shit kicked in three times though. The original gang got destroyed by the Vault Dweller, the second gang was destroyed by the Chosen One, and the third gang was destroyed by the NCR at Bitter Springs. The Khans we see in game are the survivors of the near-annihilation of their tribe three times. Even as thick-skulled as they are, they're smart enough to notice a pattern.
I fucking hate the Great Khans, when I did an NCR run through, I showed no remorse. I mowed down literally everyone in the camp.

This vaults residents abandoned it themselves.
Quite possible that a creature ate them or if they were skeletons, the powder gangers threw them somewhere or put them somewhere. Maybe a place we can't reach.
No exact dates, but this vault certainly failed early compared to the others.

This reminds me a bit of an experiment in a mental asylum where they had a sane test person as a patient. His part in the experiment was to convince the staff that he is perfectly sane and that they should let him go. Apparently he didn't succeed and was stuck in the asylum until the experiment was blown off
Sanity is not statistical the person could've very well been crazy in the eyes of some people
If I'm not mistaken, they actually gave him PTSD and some ticks because they managed to start convincing him that he was sick before the experiment finished.
The Khans are also a mixed bag. I reject the NCR interpretation that they are "no better than raiders" - and with The Courier's actions during the quests you complete for the Khans, they can and do turn into a prosperous society that is more than drugs and theft.
By getting them to leave the Mojave, the courier kind of turns them into Australia... A national built by "bad" people that can actually turn into something good. The Khans need people like Lem among their ranks....Oddly enough, they also need people like "Jerry the Punk", even if they don't know it. People with a conscience, people that prize things other than strength and combat prowess.
Lem can either waste his life doing slave labor in a prison, making rich men richer and having the stigma of being a "convict" for the rest of his life, or he can join the Khans and do his part in forging a new society. Regardless of what people like Lem "deserve", I think the world gains more by sending him to join the Khans, and getting the Khans to become something more than a gang of tough-guy drug dealers.
From the get go I was with the Khan's. I liked them.bthey are just survivors but aren't crazed psychos like raiders. Once I found out papa Khan was working with the legion to get vengeance against the ncr for what they did at bitter springs I knew I had to convince them to break tthat alliance. In the end I did what you did and inspired then to head out and find new land to conquer and then form a government with. It was great to actually get the chance to do this since I'm the first 2 games your character wipes them out

I think that I replied to the wrong comment, I remember that there was a comment about that the khans in this ending can start another hostile nation to NCR. You know another Independent New Vegas fanboy who thinks that this ending is only butterflies and rainbows, while completly ignoring the fact that it turns most of the NV into complete anarchy.
Also I understand that people don't like corruption and high taxes, but the NCR doesn't deserve as much hate as it gets, objectionably it is better choice than, tyrany, anarchy and delusional businessman.
I HATED that bullshit high frequency sound that only younger people can hear. Kids in high school thought it SO funny to use that shit to annoy people and the teachers could never hear it.
