Oxhorn thank you can you do a new series that illustrates your favourite weapons across the fallout series (just for a nice change of pace)
Oxhorn I've seen almost all of your videos, maybe missing a few. I love the amount of work and effort you put in your videos!
Oxhorn keep up the great work I have been subscribed since you only had 100k
Oxhorn I love you
Make a fallout let’s play series
A spy's been planted for years in the camp and he's outdone by some guy that got lost looking for the bathroom.

RIP you didn't include the intelligence check with Silus where you can start speaking to him in Latin. That was a pretty cool dialogue tree for them to include in the game
IT WAS BATMAN'S *BAT LANGUAGE*
Since I play as a Female Courier, I much prefer this method. Being able to beat the info out of Silus always felt a little unrealistic to me. My build and skill set just don't lend themselves well to physical altercations. Outsmarting the Legion *as a woman* is more satisfying. 😈
Yeah came here to say this. That is definitely my favorite method of handling him
S Plo while oxhorn does an amazing job covering almost everhthing about every quest he does sometimes skip options, like things like the animal friend perk, like how you can use that as an option to talk about Gabe in OLD WORLD BLUES
S Plo can anyone translate what they say?
Lieutenant Boyd is all shades of sass. Love her dialogues.
And I kind of feel sorry for her husband when she comes back after years fighting. He better have behaved. :-D
Edison Michael My favorite line is when you succeed with the Intelligence option. She says she would have rather you beat the crap out of him. But she felt like she witnessed art. She even calls the money she pays you a commission.
Always love listening to a Laura Bailey character
Why I seriously doubt she did
With Old World Blues, Farber becomes an important merchant. He carries a huge stock of maize, and you can run that through the Biological Research Station to convert to salient green, then use the hot-plate to convert to xander root and Broc Flower - which you can turn into a slew of stimpacks.
Why Stimpacks? If you add Nevada Agave and some Cave Fungus (Honest Hearts is a good way to get some fungus that isn't mutated) you get Healing Poultices.
Stimpacks are cheaper to make, and can be made into auto-inject stimpacks. Cave Fungus kind of limits the healing poultices to Zion Canyon. But while in Zion, yeah - healing poultices are awesome.
you're gonna need empty syringes though, otherwise you can only make healing powder.
now farber is wondering why some goddamn mailman is obsessed with all his corn
@@tahabashir3779 That why you give coffee mugs to muggy
Note for anyone watching: It is important to do this quest with the persuasion method (and get the info about Caesar's sickness) before attempting the Chief Hanlon quest "Return to Sender". This information is vital if you want the best possible outcome. Chief Hanlon will not be convinced the NCR has any chance of surviving unless you reveal to him the truth about the Legion's fatal weakness. Otherwise, you will have to kill Caesar yourself to get Chief Hanlon to see the error in his ways.
this is spoilers for the quest but..
When I confronted him and asked himself to turn himself he killed himself would convincing him with this quest do anything to that end?
If you don't find that out before confronting Hanlon, the only way to convince him to stop is to have a high Speech Skill.
I absolutely didn't know that, damn I did that mission months ago! :(
Sed yes it completely changes the outcome. Hanlon's chief problem was that he simply thought the NCR would tire out and lose to the ruthless, tireless Legion. He has a whole new set of dialogue if you have already interrogated the legion spy. He doesn't require any huge speech checks or anything and pretty much folds right away because he sees that he was wrong to assume the Legion was invincible.
I'd rather kill Caesar myself, it's really fun
Oxhorn: "A SPY IN THE BASE?" *TF2 Song plays*
Legion wears red, while NCR don’t.
Therefor...
A RED SPY IS IN THE BASE!
Ok so basically, sfm idea

I love Fallout: New Vegas especially the branching story missions. I've played this mission before but damn Oxhorn, your playthrough and narration make watching this very exciting all over again. Excellent :-)
See, that's exactly what I was thinking.... Oxhorn's narration makes these Fallout quests even more enjoyable. :)
New Vegas is also my favorite...just love the dark atmosphere, the music, and the characters.
MrNiceGuy couldn't agree more, mystery is why they couldn't get this right in Fallout 4, technically speaking F4 is better graphically but just couldn't capture the story elements of New Vegas.
@@AngeloSaim 100%. New Vegas has much better writing when it comes to quest story lines etc. While it cant use its graphics to world build as well as F4, it makes up for it with incredible writing.

There is another option concerning the captain in the tower; sneaking in, listening about the bomb, running to the bomb and defusing it (provided you have the explosives skill up enough) THEN reporting the captain to the Colonel. He will be arrested and will show up in a jail cell in a room opposite where you interrogate the Centurion.
Everyone lives, nobody dies and nothing gets blown up. Result.
darkxaur i always do that so everyone gets what they deserve
*BATMAN NEVER KILLS* plus for me that's the only way to save the monorail
On my second play through I went to listen in on the spys conversion but when I went into the watch tower he was at the door and caught me looking at and had to kill him so I diddent have enough time to stop the bomb on the monorail.
Boone does not approve, Legion scum including spies deserve a bullet between their eyes.
I did exactly that, but when I went back to the tower the spy was dead.
About the interrogation quest, I had a very bad relationship with the legion, but I pretended that I was a emissary from Caesar and said that Caesar was furious with him and that I was there to kill him, then he started to say all the information that I need accidentally, the best part was when he tried to say to Boyd that I was a legion spy trying to kill him and he started begging for his life
thats an inteligence speech check, for that option to appear you need at least 8 or more intelligence points and honestly in my opinion its the most hilarious one
@@shmadenshmuki9843 its the only one that makes the whole thing worth it!

Great video Oxhorn! I ordered your new shirt as well for my son. I realized that your new shirt is not only fallout related, but also related to real life,. The logistics for the cook is one of my favorite quests, as Napoleon said an army marches on it's stomach.

boomers and powder gangers don't EVER get along well... I guess they just have an *EXPLOSIVE* relationship.

I only have such a relation with powder gangers. The boomers are relatively close xD
In my playthrough I killed both of them
wow, good job kiddo. you should go speak to the old lady. in my experience, she loves jokes.
I get this is a game and not everything is life sized for the sack of budget and convenience, but man this is a small ass airport, just how exactly are these planes supposed to lift off when their is barely any space for the planes to speed up to fly at all?
Brandon Lyon my excuse is advanced technology or something, but fo4 had full runways. So I have no idea, probably just one of the not so important things
I am justice given form, I am the world the Boston airports runway looked way to short for the size of the planes you find in the waste
I was thinking more in the pre-war perspective, just how is this a functioning airport in the real world. The NCR air force seems to only be made up of helicopters which don't need the runways, but before the war this is supposed to be a conventional passenger airport yet their seems to be next to no space for the planes to lift off or even land for that matter without crashing into the wall.
Maybe those walls aren't pre-war maybe the walls were put up sometime after the war or maybe there was walls but they didn't go all the way around maybe they were added on to later to close up the base
There's a very long strip outside the wall. I'm thinking the walls are post-war. Maybe they used the machines from vault 21 to make them, similar to how they used them to make walls around Vegas.
Careful, Shamus. You're getting too close!
@Oxhorn Not sure why you didn't cover it here, but when interrogating silus theres is an option to PRETEND to work for the Legion if you have high intelligence and convince him that the Legion sent you to kill him before he can spill the beans. It was pretty interesting to watch in my playthrough and was hoping you would show that, not sure why you didn't.
Even with that this was still a great video as always, keep up the good work.
As far as Silus is concerned, there's supposed to be a fourth option. You can fake being a legion member, and tell Silus that he was supposed to die. The fact that he didn't upsets Ceasar. he'll freak out and yell for the courel to help him! He'll talk.
If there's one thing the Legion knows how to do, it's subterfuge. Seriously, the way the Frumentarii can disguise themselves and insert themselves into positions amongst their enemies for years, even decades, without notice is phenomenal.
It's one of those things that makes you wonder how doomed mankind would be if the Legion's military presence were at least equal to the NCR's.
Yeah, Vulpes is genuinely one of the most dangerous characters in the game, without a doubt.
I am having a very bad day. When I have days like these I watch your videos, Oxhorn. You've got a great voice and you're super calming. Thank you for making these videos.
This is the type of questions that I missed in fallout 4.
Agreed, although the sarcastic remarks you can make in 4 are gold.
In my game when I helped Boyd I pretended to be a legion member with my speech level then rubbed it in his face because of how easy it was to illude him he was so mad
My habit of entering zones in stealth saved my a$$ on this quest.
I searched for a bomb on that train at least 5 times and never found a thing. It’s not the first time I underestimate this game.
Oxhorn thank you very much for helping me fall asleep at night with your soothing voice
Boyd's voice actress would've been a perfect pick for the female Sole Survivor. She knows how to deliver cocky lines, sound sincere and bad ass.
They should have swapped the back story of the male and female protagonists depending on who you chose. The sole survivor's skill only makes sense when the protagonist is a former soldier.
@@JollyOldCanuck not necessarily. A lawyer is able to take survival and shooting lessons
@@dathunderman4 doesn’t explain the Power Armour training which before the Great War was a military only skill.
That's Laura bailey for you
Voice of serana as well
It's funny how they the devs gave the guy with a legion name the most suspected position but the guy who was doing the espionage was just some random dude named Curtis
Silus doesn't fight back because he's supposed to be "handcuffed"
I thought it was because Boyd said she’d shoot him in the head if Silus resisted at all.
The amount of work you put into your videos is astounding. I swear, FO new Vegas is one of the best games ever Made.
I just LOVED interrogating that legion guy Boyd is a treat I was traveling with someone else and went and got Boone (just for fun) kinda wish we had more options to play up her “crazy” angle make faces at him through the glass press your face against it to freak him out
You missed the inelegance checks to get info from him by convincing him you are a legion assassin! Though this may only be for male couriers because of the legions stance on women.
The Sand Boxer well Caesar let's women join him despite his doctrines
I have never seen a female legionnaire or legion assassin.
Ceasar will let you join if female. Not others.
I can see Ceasar bending a few rules as long as they get results. The Legion has been around long enough for women to be completely indoctrinated in their beliefs. A female spy would be less suspicious in certain situations.
I can see why you haven’t gotten any of the intelligence checks.
Jw, any chance you can do more creature lore. Like youve kinda done vids on supermutants for fallout 4 but what about mirelurks, deathclaws, vault 87 supermutants or the masters army
Brandon Gerhardt We have thenapple for that. It's his forte, Ox's is research and story telling using his sexy ass voice
Mikhael Gonato i wouldnt say sexy but he sounds like one of those guys who talks over cartoons
Brandon Lee the Great Now that you've said it. I agree but nevertheless he's entertaining.
Men! Wtf! You could use the intelligence thing to talk to the prisoner in Latin! And play to be an legion assassin! It's the most epic one! Wtf!
Sir!
IT WAS BATMAN'S *BAT LANGUAGE*
Aye, it's the Camp McCarran series! I always loved helping the NCR in these quests because something about the military atmosphere made me happy. Not sure why. Either way, happy to see this series and can't wait for the next episode! Awesome work Ox, very excited!
McCarran is a gold mine for quests, even some unmarked ones as well, the whole spy quest is a bit tricky at first but i figured out the best way to handle it, Eaves on Curtis, Kill Him then take the codes so you can deactivate the bomb in the vent without a skill check.
for the record Boone approves of this course of action.
This quest took me forever to finish, it kept glitching, as the spy wouldn't spawn at the time he's meant to.
Big question! Who would win?
The Lone Wanderer
Courier
Sole Survivor
Comment down! Though the courier is likely to win against these two.
i like boyd .. my kind of lady lmao
Hey, Oxhorn! Keep up the great content mate, such unique and in depth view of things, loving those videos. Oh, and I dont know if someone already told you, but you don't need to actually pay for a passport to enter the Strip! It's only a credit check to see if you have 2k caps in your inventory, but the securitrons dont keep any.
Cheers, mate!
"You can only gain access to the monorail if you have liked faction reputation"
Ooooooor, if you steal a NCR suit of armor like I do, every playthrough 😂
It’s one of the easiest ways into the strip
So what happens if you listen in on the conversation in the radio tower, but then run off to disarm the bomb without stealing the activation code? That sounds like the only way you could feasibly thwart the plan to blow up the monorail *and* catch the guy before he kills himself.
Ox what would happen if you didnt pick pocket curtis and just turned around to defuse the bomb?
Great video!! I really like your Videos Oxhorn and I really have been able to understand fallout lore thanks to you. Also I found it funny how closely my name is to Cook Cook.
Strange. I had high rep with the Legion in my playthough and I spoke to Silus in Latin which translated to telling him that he is weak and is a traitor which made him think that I was a Legion assassin to get him in which Silus tells Boyd that I'm an agent to the Legion and it got him scared where he gives me info.
Hey Oxhorn, I’m replaying Fallout NV again after many years (I never originally finished it - long story). Anyway, thanks for these vids. I really enjoy seeing this “oldie but goodie” game played through by you.

Hey ox are you ever going to do the other endings to new Vegas?
rusty shackleford i think he said he would do a ending then do a bunch of vids and rinse and reapeat until he does all endings
Oxhorn, they're is another way to interrogate Silus. If you have a high enough intelligence, you can trick him into thinking you are part of the Legion. So he trusts you and he gives you the information.
"More beans, Colonel?" "I think y'all have had enough!" -Oh wait this is Camp McCarran and not the campfire scene from Blazing Saddles.
Sinapus yessssss! Thank you!!
Hell yea! I love your videos Oxhorn! And the Thursday stream was great!
I played New Vegas so much, this video felt like Oxhorn already covered it.
Hey Oxhorn, just to let you know that there is another way to get information out of Silus. If your intelligence is high enough u use Latin phrases to persuade him to give up info.

this really off topic but something always bugged me about the super mutants. Old one sometimes become behemoth but does the same thing happen with the Hounds and on that note how did that get hounds I can't see The institute Testing on dogs not that wouldn't just that they wouldn't bother with it and why do the Hounds stay loyal to the super mutants Why not the sole survivor Would DogMeat still be loyal it he was exposed to FEV let me know what you guys think
I never played any fallouts until your videos, now I have 3,nv, and 4 lol great video yet again, keep it up
Rocco 44 I had 4 and 3 before I watched ox then I recently got new Vegas a few months ago
I enjoy all three games, but New Vegas is my favorite. I used to hate 4 due to how vanilla it is at times, but there are a lot of things to like about it. ESPECIALLY Far Harbor
Well is it only in the german version? I pretended to be with caesars legion and pretended to be send out to kill the traitor.

I hope you do lore and vault videos for the original CRPGs.
I like the ncr but ncr leadership makes me want to sabatoge them and let the legion centurians and legate lanius use them as fleshlights
Oxhorn has blessed us once again with a great video. Thank the lord and saviour, Oxhorn.
i wish the airport had brighter lights..also i wish there was a player home(or something of that nature) near the airport..maybe an old passenger airplane
Remember dont shoot the captain.if you shoot him well like you know it still the train is explode.if not you can tell the col.shu tell him "it was curtist" he said"i will send the man out there to captured him and send him to jail"and then mission succed
Working on these missions right now to get the Key to the Safehouse since I accepted them before I had LIKED status and just didn't do them right away.
Ok i have a question so im trying to finish the ncr mission and i have to talk to the great kans to recruit them or destroy them but when i walk into the house and they instantly try to kill me and it eather fails the mission or just breaks it telling me to go outside then when i go out it tells me to go in and repeats
Loli_Chan_ Shiki I had that issue at one point, not all of the kahns are in that tent, it will tell you to go back in but you have to murder every single one, including you make sure to get everyone of them outside as well, do that and you can return immediately
Great video but what about the high intelligence option where the Courier can pass for a Legion assassin? It's so much fun to spurt out Latin quotations like "Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes" or "Corruptio optimis pessima."
I actually really liked Boyd's sarcasm and wish she had gotten a bigger role, maybe with some backstory, and a couple of personal quests.
There is another interesting way to get Silus to talk. If you have an intelligence of 8 or above, you can lie to him and convince him you are an agent of the legion. Complete with fluent Latin, you can threaten to kill him before he gives the NCR any information, and he will tell you what he knows by accident. I really loved it because of the time that Obsidian took to put correct Latin in to give it that extra immersion!
Hey when are you doing arcade Gannon's video?
jennifer untalon
Soon. He's making them
Fun fact: The NCR and the Enclave never saw eye to eye on issues since their establishment in the West coast. Longtime Fallout fans would know this despite the fact that both are founded on Old World principles.
Oxhorn:"Who exactly has he told about this"
Spoiler Alert:
*look at Captain Curtis who is the spy*
Ive played this game for about 200 hours and i never knew the ncr had a kitchen wew lad im blind
I've over 1,400 hours logged... and I never knew there's a doctor in back.
It's reaaally easy to miss. When I RP new characters I try to find excuses to even go into McCarran's terminal but unless you explore a lot, or are knee deep with the NCR (and even then) there really isn't anything that makes you go in there.
200 HOURS *NOOB* , I'VE BEEN AROUND FOR LIKE *2OOO HOURS*
It was several play throughs before I found that place.
Oxhorn please make a video of the NCR ending of New Vegas
Las Vegas? LAS Vegas?! LAS VEGAS?!?
Asher Ketchup 😂 *new
You can take the monorail if you are disguised as the NCR
You: why dont you torture the prisoner?
Boyd: We're not allowed.
You: I could do it.
Boyd: Sure.
You: I object! Its wrong!
Me: *confused*
Boyd: Okay let's flay him instead?
You: Yea sounds good.
Don't mean to criticise since I love your videos, but this just cracked me up XD
He always could pull a Tyrion Lannister and tell each of his lieutenants about a different Supply route. then scout out where the Raiders are ready to attack, thus knowing who gave them the information.
In all my playthroughs of NV, never found this quest. Amazing! Thank you Oxhorn
When I did the prisoner quest, I stood outside the glass in my black ranger armor, pumping drugs and punching the glass
You could use an Intelligence check during the interrogation with Silus and pretend that you're part of the Legion.
>calls you brainless
>immediately proceeds to mispronounce "cretin"
Even if the monorail blows up you can eventually get it back after a while. The monorail came back in my game after hearing the ncr soldiers say that the monorail is back
Hey Ox, have you or could you do a lore vid on how caps became the currency of the whole wastes from NCR to the Commonwealth? its not like they can readily trade with each other, nor is there an over arching government to instill a common currency, so how have caps become the money of the wastes
I had a interesting question for everyone however. Since the timeline doesn't change until after World War II, which means theoretically in 1945 General George S Patton still dies, and assuming that military Warfare and tactics are still taken from studying tactics used during World War II and before, and also since Patton was born in California, could you theoretically have the new California Republic following tactics of leaders such as General George S Patton, and Jimmy Doolittle perhaps? I mean it's a far-fetched idea perhaps, but maybe they're written in the history books somewhere? I don't know but I would like to hear the community's opinion.
There’s a way to interrogate Silus... You have to get your Intelligence all the way up to 8 and higher. It’s the same one as a Speech check but they are different dialogues coming from him.
I've been binge watching fallout lore for days. Thanks for being awesome oxhorn!
@Oxhorn you do know there is a high intelligence way of dealing with silus. being that you speak Latin and say things that Caesar would say, it gets him real flustered.
