It’s great to get a video from you Rob, haven’t heard from you for a long time and hope you are keeping well. The floating seats look fabulous mate and will look even better once the plants have become established too, and what a great place to sit too! We have Bird of Paradise over here in the U.K. but are only for indoors as they are not hardy for our winters although some folk put them out in the summer time, lovely plant though when in flower. Well done! 👏👏👏. Cheers. ………..Graham
Looking Great Robert!!!! Really nice use of the space to create a relaxing oasis. The planter boxes and floating bench look awesome! Center of the courtyard? How about adding a fountain focal point, I.E. maybe a large colored ( yellow glazed) round ceramic vase and create a water feature, place Japanese egg rock at the fountain base. As a patio surface, place 2'x2' textured conc stepping stones as a patio surface (Grid Pattern) with a 4" spacing between pavers. Something like dark green dwarf Mondo grass 4" pots(Its super low/ if it grows there and place between the stepping stones. Oh don't forget to add time released fertilizer then mulch your planting beds & Low voltage lights for evening mood lighting. Just passing along a few possible design thoughts. Good Luck Sir Robert!! - Alex K. (Retired Landscape Architect in Florida and fellow model railroader)
Great work Robert and will make a beautiful socializing area for your court yard when all plants come into flowing. Good to see you well and alive. The seating is a great idea and looks cool. How is the layout coming on?. Take care and all the best - Kevin
Absolutely beautiful. Well done 👏👏👏

Haven't done much on the layout but will get back to it soon cheers Robert
This is really well done, what are the dimensions of the sleeper boards you used? And could this be replicated with 2x6 or 2x8 boards?
The board size's where 90mm x 19mm which is 3.5 inches x 3/4 inch
The sleepers are 200mm x 75mm which is 8inches x 2.7inches
so now you have a place to sit, and say watch trains on the new too be out door layout? nice job sir.
Now thats a great idea G Scale lol
hope you are doing well
Yes doing well, will get back to the train room soon cheers Robert
