    Tesla AI day presented the most amazing real-world AI & engineering effort I have ever seen in my life. This a quick video on the main ideas from the presentation. Here are the timestamps:
    0:00 - Overview
    1:16 - Neural network architecture
    4:55 - Data and annotation
    6:44 - Autopilot & DOJO
    8:28 - Summary: 3 key ideas
    9:55 - Tesla Bot

      Thanks for the breakdown. Loved it the video and the demonstration.
      That Tesla would love to build a real world predictable model of the working world isn't a surprise. Where are the scientists drawing the line on autonomy? Do the predictions get shared between cars(agents)? Traffic definitely could benefit from some centralization (e.g., lights). Where are lines, in your opinion, in the relationship between the infra(state), sensor-networks and autonumous cars ?

      That is literally where everybody starts with everything. We just tend to forget our confusion once something becomes “obvious” or “intuitive”.
      As Carol Dweck points out, our mindset makes all the difference. We don’t need to already know a topic to master it.

    • @mobiuscoreindustries
      @mobiuscoreindustries 3 года назад +2

      Honestly once you peel away the many layers of technical stuff, all that is left away is really smart and logical ways to solve a problem while maintaining scalability.
      I think what Tesla understood is that you dont want a perfect system, you want one that is good enough to fill every task you need to to do, but most importantly to get it out there in the rough. What is surprising is that this is everything we tell engineering students but when we get in the wild to get shit done, then we hit management brick walls that are basically unwilling to finch on solutions they already use even if proven wrong and limiting.

    Was waiting to view your take on AI Day. Thank you. As expected the Establishment Media this morning was a clown show of journalists and guests vomiting word salads about things they don't understand and/or dutifully bash Tesla with a priori narratives on behalf of their advertisers and owners whom Elon is disrupting.

Don’t get me wrong I understand capitalism and government dominance urge, (other AGI maker focuses) but somethings should be made only by love, which Lex has in him from top to bottom

      Elon knows we need Bots on our Moon and Mars. The surface radiation is a real drag, so workers need to stay under radiation shields. The Bots can safely go out into the open and workers can supervise from shielded work areas, or even control the Bot like an avatar.
