Thanks for the breakdown. Loved it the video and the demonstration. That Tesla would love to build a real world predictable model of the working world isn't a surprise. Where are the scientists drawing the line on autonomy? Do the predictions get shared between cars(agents)? Traffic definitely could benefit from some centralization (e.g., lights). Where are lines, in your opinion, in the relationship between the infra(state), sensor-networks and autonumous cars ?

That is literally where everybody starts with everything. We just tend to forget our confusion once something becomes “obvious” or “intuitive”. As Carol Dweck points out, our mindset makes all the difference. We don’t need to already know a topic to master it.
Honestly once you peel away the many layers of technical stuff, all that is left away is really smart and logical ways to solve a problem while maintaining scalability. I think what Tesla understood is that you dont want a perfect system, you want one that is good enough to fill every task you need to to do, but most importantly to get it out there in the rough. What is surprising is that this is everything we tell engineering students but when we get in the wild to get shit done, then we hit management brick walls that are basically unwilling to finch on solutions they already use even if proven wrong and limiting.
Lex, very nice way to pull it all together in 11m29s. The quirkiness of Tesla's communication does make it authentic but damn it's nice when someone like you summarizes it in a clear and concise way without dumbing it down too much!
