I'm with you on the Patrangers dealing with a Dirty Cop. Also, one thing that Patren#1 should say is "Good Cops hate Bad Cops worse than regular People" or something to that effect. Having parents who are good cops, They can confirm.
1:27 Before we get into it, I kinda imagined a One Piece Scenario, with a great space pirate claiming that he has hidden his treasure on planet earth, and that whoever finds it all will become leader of the space pirates. Silver/Gold sees this as a way to dismantle the pirates from within, so he creates two teams, one to ensure that they get the treasure, while the other tries to stop threats that may take the other treasures. Simple enough, yeah? The two teams end up fighting against each other though, but that's how this goes, and its all for "Greater good" kind of stand point. So it's similar to the original.
Can I just for once say THANK YOU GUYS?! Love your videos, It's like watching my non existing RL Toku friends fanboy and talk about what they love and hate and I enjoy the living fuck out of it. I mean the team perspective on the criminal syndicate could be play. The Lupin team view the criminal as the monster who guard treasure while the Pataranger view the criminal as well criminal
They actually did do a bodyswap episode fairly early on, but it was between Touma (LupinBlue) and the MotW. Most of the tension in that episode revolved around the Lupins trying to hide Touma from the Pats while looking for the MotW running around in his body.
Sorry but I don't think that's gonna happen Saban's agreement with Toei ends next year (2021) so mostly Dino Fury is gonna be the last Power Rangers instalment from Super Sentai, Uske baad shaayad they'll make their own original shows or what they had planned from long time, an animated series for the BOOM comics. But let's see

I loved Lupin vs Pat. I thought it was overall creative and Noel was my 6th was my favorite in all Sentai next to Gokai Silver. I enjoyed the Romance Story Arc between Yellow and Green but I agree, Green could have had more focus as his point of view as the new guy. My only two opinions/critiques is that 1. It took far too long for the Patrens to figure out the identities of the Lupins and 2. The only weak point I found was actually Lupin Red. He felt like a watered down Marvelous but he had no growth at all. He was the same guy we were introduced to and the same guy wish finished. Overall, I highly recommend this series. It was creative, I liked the rangers, and the story was good. As for Society itself, I'm sorry, having a problem with PAW Patrol and defending looting/rioting is insane.

The only change I would really want made for a western adaptation is I really wish the ending was taken more seriously and not “Well we’re still gonna be thieves” “Oh well I guess we’ve gotta arrest you then whoop de doo” Although I do really like the body swap idea, even though I think the reveal and build up to the reveal was handed pretty great in the show. One thing I wish they done is have zamigo be his own faction completely and hv it clearly established his own his , so when both teams defeat dogranio ( but he’s not destroyed) he’s back at his headquaters reviewing all the surving ganglers and chooses zamigo but zamigo at first rejects to offer ( in the background patrangers r looking for dongranio) then the lupin rangers r beating zamigo then zamigo begs dongranio for his powers and he gives it to him and the patrangers join the lupinrangers in the final fight against the new powered up zamigo Edit: the lupinrangers r orphans because the previous generation of patrangers were fighting some Monsters and they’re parents were caught in the crossfire
I personally wanted Noel to be a triple agent and wanted the lupin collection for himself. He would have spent all year getting the two teams to trust him only because he couldn't take out Dogranio by himself. And then when the dust is settling he steals most of the lupin collection so the two teams have to come together to defeat someone they really got close to and cared about.

Something else that isn't major but I'd like to see folk's thoughts on is how the Morphin' Grid would be relevant in a LuPat since the Boom! comics and Beast Morphers have really brought focus to that. I think my favorite takeaway from this is the idea of Tokupitch Roulette, have several good series and several bad series both on a wheel or randomizer and then having to pitch your idea without any prior planning

I have to say i'm immensely surprised the argument against LuPat was #Black Lives Matter and not the fact that the show is about two teams of heroes fighting each other. Has there ever been a fight between Rangers where one of them WASN'T evil, or brainwashed?
The flaw in the logic of treating the Lupins or Patrens as strictly good or bad is life is never that simple. I know Power Rangers is stereotyped as a type of series where there're clear-cut heroes and villains, but in something like Lupat, gray areas are absolutely required. Good people are not always doing good things, bad people are not always doing bad things, and this is something the show would need to portray with the Lupins doing their job as heroes who steal and the Patrens as heroes who enforce the law. Trying to glorify or villainize either is a mistake and is what will lead to results worse than any Karen would otherwise say. If the people watching this show would refuse to accept the fact of gray areas, then they're delusional and either would need to face reality or watch something that doesn't set off their fragile emotions.
You know what? I just found a way to write around cops and robbers theme that Hasbro is too afraid to touch. Use the idea from Power Ranger Hexagon. The established power ranger and the anti establishment power ranger.

Besides Jetman, Dairanger, and Gokaiger, Lupat is one of my favorite sentais!!
I haven't seen dairanger, but I would include shinkenger in the list. And yes lupat is one of the best one out there!
