- Welcome fellow travelers to the beautiful Oregon Coast. We had a chance to stay at the excellent Nehalem Bay State Park which is located on the Northern section of the Oregon Coast. Boy did we have an exciting week which included a pretty massive storm which brought 60mph winds along with inches of rain. Lucky for us we are Oregonions so we are always prepared for weather and know all the best stops to visit if your trip to the Oregon Coast has poor weather. In this video we provide some tips on how to best prepare your RV for a storm.
Come along as we show you around this awesome State Park and also visit the coastal towns of Cannon Beach and Tillamook where we visit the ever popular Tillamook Cheese Factory. We also had a chance to tour the Tillamook Air Museum which was definitely a highlight of this trip.
Here is a little information on the State Park as well as some of the items we mentioned in the video. If you purchase any items from these links on Amazon we get a small commission which is great for us. Cool thing is it doesn't cost you anything and instead of going into Amazons profits you are helping out small creators like us. Thank you in advance.
Items we recommend for RV travelers
They are no longer selling the Amp Power Station we used but I found the highest rated model you can purchase on Amazon which has better specs than what we have.

Where did you purchase your bed truck cover? What the brand name?
Hi Diana. Model is a xtang trifecta. We got it from Amazon but they also sell in many auto part stores. We love it. It’s so easy to remove and add back on when we need it. Here is a link to it. amzn.to/3Xbh0oR
I live on the southern Oregon coast. I love storms. I'm a hearty Oregonian! When I was living in Portland, we'd go to Seaside, or the WA Long Beach Peninsula.
Ya we are outside of Portland so we get our fair share as well. 😀
What a awesome location. Thanks for sharing
Ya we would agree with that.
Looks like a nice place. Those sunsets were just beautiful.
Hi Joe. Kim and I have been visiting the coast for 25 years and never seen any like we did that week. You definitely got lucky.
Nice video. We are from Tennessee and visited OR and Northern CA in August, 2022. Went as far north as Cape Meares then headed south. Very beautiful coastline. We would like to come back and see more.
BTW, I noticed the Fitbit Ionic. Are you aware of the recall? Fitbit offers a full refund on all Ionics plus a 20-25% discount for a future Fitbit device purchase.
That is hilarious. Kim actually took advantage of that and was able to get a new one. You are very observant. 😀. Thanks for watching and commenting.
My son is moving to Portland in the spring. We own a lance 1985. We love the way you two travel in your lance. Particularly the honesty of your actual lifestyle. Cannot wait to visit and fully explore Oregon with the grandkids! Thank you.
Much appreciated Judy. Safe travels.
Great video! Watching from England,. Any suggestions on things to do on the Oregon coast?
Hi Finlay. That is awesome. Thanks for watching. Where do we even start. There is so much to do. Each town is so unique and beautiful in its own right. There is whale watching, surfing, a thousand restaurants, brew pubs, wine bars, etc. also a lot of hiking. Oh the hiking is so good. If you plan to make a trip we would be more than happy to talk to you and give you recommendations
Hope you enjoy our trip to the Oregon Coast. Feel free to like, comment, and share.
Great video. Good to see you two out and about. Love the Oregon Coast!
Thank you. It’s definitely been a bit.
Beautiful sunset with the storm clouds and blue skies.. we just got our camper last weekend and I can wait to visit the Oregon Coast and not have to stay in a hotel! 15:29 Thanks for sharing tips on how to setup & secure trailer!
Appreciate you watching and commenting and congrats on the trailer. We love the Oregon Coast. If we can ever answer any questions about where to visit just ask. Safe Travels.
The Oregon Coast looks so beautiful and relaxing. You two crack me up.
Appreciate that. We do our best.
Fall camping is the best in Oregon! You never know what kind of weather you’ll get so just be prepared for everything. 😊
Don’t tell everyone our secret. 😂

Thanks for the video. We're looking to go to the Oregon coast in '23. It looked like you handled the storm very well. Good idea to move away from the trees. I think your Lance 1985 made the storm more uneventful than it would have been in a lesser trailer.
Can’t agree more. It’s a pretty heavy and well built trailer so it was fine. I will say though I am glad we prepped a bit as it was rough a couple of the nights. Appreciate you watching. Feel free to ask us anything about the Oregon Coast. We are locals and have been going for over 30 years now.
@@adventuresofjandk 😀
NICE
Thank you Joe.
Where was my invite 😂
This was when you were in Italy.
@@adventuresofjandk ohhhh good excuse lol I’ll let you slide then lol
Loved the locations you have shown on the Oregon Coast. Even though there is always have a pretty good chance of rain, I always enjoy the coast. Your storage compartments look like mine.............It's like a game of Tetris to get all the stuff back in there again.
I really don't have a desire to see people wearing face-masks on videos...............way too much of a reminder of all the nonsense we have all endured the last few years.
It’s definitely like Tetris. 😂. As far as masks go we didn’t have a choice unfortunately as it was required while indoors. We tried to limit talking through them as much as possible as it doesn’t make for good sound.
Oregon seems like a beautiful state to visit.
It definitely has some beautiful spots. Hope all is well Diana.
Its so beautiful
Can never tell what mother nature will bring. When we were in South Dakota a couple of years ago we left the campground we were in the morning that night the area was hit with tornadoes. Same night in our new campground we were hit with winds that we thought might blow the trailer over. One of our wheel chocks was about thirty feet from the trailer. At the museum saw one of the types of airplanes I used to work on. Thanks for your video.
Thanks for sharing George. Ya weather is definitely unpredictable. That’s cool that you used to work on planes. We had a great time at that museum.
Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed your video, cheers Dave and Lorilei
Much appreciated Dave and Lorilei.
@@adventuresofjandk cheers and stay dry
@@HarleysDinersRides 😂 We will do our best. It’s tough to do in the NW this time of year.
