Melrose Avenue is a shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Los Angeles that starts at Santa Monica Boulevard, at the border between Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. It ends at Lucile Avenue in Silver Lake. Melrose runs north of Beverly Boulevard and south of Santa Monica Boulevard.
Paved in 1909, Melrose Avenue's namesake comes from the Massachusetts town of the same name.
Its most famous section, known as the Melrose District, is the West End through West Hollywood and Hollywood.
At the corner of Fairfax and Melrose is Fairfax High School, which marks the start of the Fairfax District.
One of the most famous landmarks located on Melrose Avenue is Paramount Pictures.

7:50 Whisky-A-Go-Go. Hung out there in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
I saw The Cure there in 1981 & Elvis Costello & Nick Lowe 1978. So many others.
Saw the doors there in 1967,not,I wish.
This is actually enlightening. Lately I’ve been seeing so many videos of LA that looked like there were tents EVERYWHERE. This video shows several areas of LA and so far, it looks the same as the last time I visited before Covid hit.
I wa thinking the same. Where are the homeless encampments? I wonder if this was recorded the same time it was uploaded or if the encampment are highly concentrated to one area. This video does not compare to many others that I've seen
This is West LA. it’s a lot more upper class and trendier. It contains some of the wealthiest areas of Los Angelas. This is Beverly Hills and West Hollywood vicinity, sunset strip, etc.
tents and homelessness is HIGH.. drop in the downtown area like skid row or east LA or south central neighborhoods.
I used to live and work in this exact area. I now live in Germany and it’s breaking my heart to see this video and know that I won’t be around this amazing scene again. I miss it all so much. Thank you for this ♥️
I live in LA. Note half the shops are closed. It is really getting weird here. By the shadows it appears to be around 3. Usually bumper to bumper. The weather has been like this all winter. 84 today
Love my home . No place in the world like it ♥️
Thank you so very much for your driving tours. I am from Germany and I´ve spent so much holidays in California, especially in LA and it is so good to see all of my favourite places again. Can´t wait to be there again. I love LA.
This is a nice video of L.A. I knew it was some good spot L.A.Thank you
Definitely a reason to finally get my driver's license !
Thank you so much for all your Los Angeles videos. I enjoy them so much, and the quality is amazing !! I've been watching your videos for a while now, but I just wanted to say thank you !!
Nice! Just relocated here from Boston last year, I live in Pacific Palisades. Beautiful area
hey mate ,you going around in circles LOL . you already passed the BEVERLY CENTRE 4 times lol....hahaha
Note, the electronic billboard on the Beverly Center is advertising "The Table", and the name of this channel is, "The Table".
Weird to see traffic flowing so smoothly. No people on the streets.
🤣
Now I really can't wait to go to California
Refreshing my memory--haven't seen this for years. Thank you for the post! Good to see that many of the old landmarks are still there!
Beautiful as always!👏📢
Wow, The traffic are less crowd. I miss LA.. Often hung around in West Hollywood, West LA, Sunset Strip and Melrose . Thank you for share.
Beautiful footage! Love L.A. forever! ❤️❤️❤️
I really like this place 😌
Once the Pandemic is under control this will be Back on track

I love this vid! I'm in Sydjey, Australia but was there in holidays with my son & my mother in dec/Jan 2018-2019. zi love love it there💗 Happy New,Year!
Nice drive. Had fun watching ! Big like 👍 Thank you for sharing
I loooove this city!
slice of life 👍
nice sharing👍📽️
Thx for the video
Man I went to Los Angeles twice in one year and drove all through it and I enjoyed it much love from Dallas
West LA is about 5 miles southwest of where you are in this video. It's just south of Westwood.
I understood it as a catch-all term for everything west of Hollywood, if not west of Western!
Finally it’s not another downtown video
Lol, true
Buen video gracias por compartir.
Thanks for this.
Cool Video 😃🚘
Thank for driving in LA. It has been a while since I have driven there in the city and then around Santa Monica.
Thank you so very much
Thank you
Hi. Beverly Hills, The Flats, The Bird Streets, Benedict Canyon, Franklin Canyon, Hollywood Hills please?
Nice Video
As a native, L.A., has become what New York city was in the 1970s & 80s: Dirty streets, street crime, homeless camps in what seems to be every other block (every freeway underpass has a homeless camp). L.A. today is not the city I was raised in. It truly took a dive about 15-20 years ago. And don't get me stated on the high taxes/high cost of living. A smaller 2 bdrm apartment in a mediocre part of town (not gang ridden but not safe to walk after dark) is $2,500/month.
hmmmm a studio in west la in a safe building is 2500 a month
You’re right. This city has tanked
I just moved out of LA in September and don't miss it at all
And just like NYC did, LA can recover. Cities have cycles of their life just like a human life does; sometimes it's up, sometimes it's down. It's so immature to look at the world so black and white or doom and gloom.
thanks for the video, its good to learn about places and helps if you go there to not be so apprehensive
Nice video 🎥😎
God what a drive, I love LA
Wow... Very clean. I assume it's a better part of LA then. 🤔
Very nice place
Sangat indah 🇮🇩
nice tour...
everything is beautiful scenes..
it is usa, who not compare with others🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
Loved it! CAB😊
Very cool. I love these kinds of pleasant videos, not idiots complaining about how horrible California is. I hope to be there this spring break.
Great recoding! Just curious what camera is this a phone camera 📸 your vehicle seems high off the ground is this a truck ?
😍😎
Seems a great place to work.
Thank you 🇭🇲❤️🇺🇸
Looks like traffic is back to normal
You could title this video "DRIVING TO AUDITIONS 4K" and it would still make sense.
Thank you so much for this video, it's how I travel........go to watts and Compton now please! They are elegidly the worst area's in l.a most dangerous....how bad? Times change so I dought it's that bad
I can't believe how considerate the drivers appear. In New Zealand it just isn't as disciplined on the roads. Enjoyable watch!
Here in England they are pretty chilled as well.
18:3: Yang's! 😂
so youre driving on la cienega?
must be a might friendly place with everybody wantin to live together like that ...
So glad I left that city.
انها مدينة رائعة و احبها جدا و ازورها مرة في الشهر مع عائلتي انا من ميامي
🇺🇲😍
Vid is wrong, is showing the Beverly Center and describing it as West Los Angeles, WLA does start until you pass Veteran Ave heading west on Santa Monica Blvd, I consider The Becerly Center in the Faixfax District, then you have the Melrose District, then West Hollywood, the Beverly Hills, then Century City, then the Wilshire Corridor, then Westwood, then you hit WLA.
Reopen the economy people have suffered by global elites
Reopen? Cant believe that..Ppl dying every few minutes there of coivid..Almost Nowhere it is as worse as there and you want them to reopen?
@@MarioGlebbeek well closing down everything hasnt worked. Look at Sweden, no lockdowns, no deaths.
@@christel6462 ...Sweden has had over 500,000 cases and around 9,667 deaths so far compared to the U.S...Sweden’s population is close to 11 million. But the cases are starting to climb there also.
@@teejay7149 maybe so but it's mainly elderly people or those with underlying issues.
Пони бегает по кругу ! Pony is running around! What is the sense?
Nobody on the streets and everything is for lease.
Signs of a crashing economy
So many stores and shops closed in L.A., sad, anyhow I notice how L.A. is starting to resemble a Latin America hellhole like Mexico city.
I bet you haven’t even been to Mexico City.
GTA San Andreas
The Beverly Center is not in West Los Angeles!!!!!
Nice video, but there’s no such thing as “West Los Angeles City.“
You have the city of Los Angeles. The city of West Hollywood. The city of Beverly Hills. And the neighborhood of West Los Angeles.
First world city but there are areas with a third world city pavement ...
Been on all these streets. LA sucks . Can’t wait to leave .
Boring.
