- Hagglunds Bandvagn 206 or also known as BV 206 developed by the Hagglunds company for the Swedish Army.designed to carry troops and equipment through snow and swamp land in northern Sweden. It can carry up to 17 people (6 in the front compartment and 11 in the rear)

The BV 206 has had several variants over the years. One of my favorite versions is where the back unit has been replaced with a small advanced first aid station tent with and medical equipment.
I loved driving mine when I did military service!

New Version "Bv 410" is a a upgraded Bv 206 and is completely armored, instead of floating it goes like a submarine under water and goes a max speed of 65km/h while the 206 goes 55km/h.
The 410 also can perform just as good offroad capabilities as the 206 despite being heavier (15 tons) and normally has a KSP-58 or "vapenstation 01" on its turn out position.
Its better in all ways and its now in use in the Swedish Marines and Army.
I havnt driven one myself as im only 16 but i hope to do it atleast once in my life time as it would be a blast.

@@Throku Huh, guess i was wrong about the floating/submarine part as tho ive searched for days trying to find anything proving that it can float and i only found a video of it behaving like a submarine.
BV410 is not an upgraded BV206.
It is a completely new design, much bigger and stronger.

Initially intended for Sweden, and made in Sweden, by Swedish company Hägglunds. I’m sure Norway loves it too.
I remember watching that go round the off road course at the War & Peace Show in 2003.

You can find one but there not very common for sale in Sweden but a 1980s bv206 would cost you around 40000 US dollars depends I get on condition.

they do NOT work well in the desert, in fact the manufactures were surprised to find the army were using them in Iraq and warned them they were not suitable.The crews were constantly complaining of them breaking down due to clogging by sand.

They said it was intended for Norway
(As in the British Acquired it for use with the British Troops that were / would be sent to Norway during the cold war thus needing Cold weather/Deep Snow capability that other British vehicles lacked)
Not that it was made by Norway
as they already stated who made it (Hägglunds).
