Thank you
Just say "thank you" and stop correcting time stamps you ungrateful fucks
He literally wrote this album saying it’s late night drives in the city nocturnal mood type music and I get it with the slow vibes
I'm one of the biggest drake fans out there, and I actually didnt like the album at all until I let it play thru one late night after Disneyland with my gf. Low volume dark skies, its chill
facts, this album hits so differently with late night drives...songs like fire & desire and redemption got me fucked up thinking about my ex
Summers over interlude is the best song for late drives
Joe C that’s because it wasn’t meant for late night drives, nocturnal mood through the entire album. Whatever this dude said in this comment is false. Drake said the album represents the seasons & the changing of Toronto/Canada through it all.
But that's not a good album format. That's such a specific way of listening to a FULL album.
I could understand an ep or mixtape or loosies, but album? Nah, it just doesnt work.
This album definitely is a grower. By the 3rd listen, you'll find yourself going back to listen to specific tracks. It aged like fine wine though.
Nope, it's still trash
wow man legit just repeated what Joe Budden said looool
@@aubreygraham6885 really? I thought Joe hated this album.😂
@@TUN3MODE Yeah but he literally said 'aged like fine wine' recently

Imagine not liking Feel No Ways
Brother Lono best song on views in my opinion
Fr goated track
Brother Lono it grew on me
Imagine pretty much skipping Redemption lol
I didn’t like feel no ways when it came out and I still don’t like it till this day, some people just react different to certain songs
Also, this album holds a lot of nostalgia. It came out just before summer in 2016 and One Dance, Controlla, Pop Style, Too Good, Hotline Bling were played EVERYWHERE in the clubs that summer. U With Me?, Feel No Ways, Weston Road Flows, and Child's Play were also pretty popular. I feel like people didn't love it when it first came out but more people are coming around to it now that some time has passed.
Hated it then, hated it now. It was annoying to hear his mediocre songs everywhere
Tamara Davis the coolest part about music is that its subjective. What might be mediocre to you is good to others
@@timothykosower4038 that's literally the point
Tamara Davis lol this at least your third comment , get out your feelings 🤣
Tamara Davis If you hate it WHY are you watching a reaction of the album?
Lot of people saying the slower tracks need multiple listens etc. You know I'm always open about the strengths and weaknesses of the reaction format. I'll be listening again in my own time. X
Partynextdoor 2
Put the slow songs on while you're just chilling at home or late night driving around.
Feel No Ways is amazing to me but a lot of your reaction is still how I feel years later.
U are right. This was the most disappointing album of the 2010s decade
DVSN - Sept 5th
This album is so fire bruh. From feel no ways, to Weston road flows, to fire and desire. Summers over interlude, with you, child’s play. Fire album in my opinion.
Cactus Alexx How high is it on your drake albums list?
Jacob Trimble for me it’s 2nd or 3rd
Jacob Trimble top 5 with NWTS being 1st and take care being 2nd. After that I would really have to sit and think about the rest. But definitely top 5.
I don’t get why it was so disliked when it first drops
Jay Cause it was differnent
One thing to note about this album. IT ISNT A RAP ALBUM. just enjoy the music
Tom Gerrard THANK YOUUUUU. He’s obviously gonna get disappointed with expectations of something different
I’m not worried about the genre, there’s just an energy that I find is lacking. He’s said himself he was in a different space when he put this out, which I don’t disagree with.
Craig Hendricks Very true however I feel like this album definitely grows on you. You do have to be in the mood for some of the slower songs on here, listening to them and night in the car or when you’re in your feels etc
Tom Gerrard I get you, there are definitely times when I’m in the mood to listen to a “Fire and Desire” or “Weston Road Flows”. But there’s something amiss or off with this album that doesn’t keep me desperate to come back and listen. For me, I’d rather go back and listen to TC or NWTS, even Scorpion for that matter.
I’m really keen on the next album though.
Tom Gerrard that doesn’t mean it’s good, this project is half assed
I think you just aren't in the mood for these slower songs which is most of this album
The album just isnt very good... this is probably drakes worse album.
@F Mwaura I think its pretty close between scorpion and views, but views was so disappointing i give it the edge. Drake was coming off of 3 good projects with take care, NWTS, and IYRTITL (especially TC and IYRTITL) and views in comparison to those albums was aweful... I didnt expect much from Scorpion seeing how the 2 projects before (Views and more life) weren't good.
@@keenannash2947 i love views , it has a way more different vibe than the other projects
Keenan Nash I think views was just such a drop off from the previous 3 but was the most hyped. Like he went on a huge press run for this one and coming off the last 3 it just didn’t live up. Not a bad album it was just not as good as it was projected to be.
@@keenannash2947coming back from 4 years, and prolly is his top 3 best albums 😂
I can't believe he called Redemption and Fire & Desire boring. I think those are a couple of great R&B tracks.
Those are absolute bangers in my opinion
@@underratedszn6549fr😭
this is true. there considered the highlights of the album lol
Bro the two best songs in the album 😹😭
Bro this album is so underrated. I don't understand why it got the hate that it got. Maybe because it was dropped right after if you're reading this it's too late and people were just expecting another predominant rap album. But this album has hits for days. Like c'mon man lol
Sons of light I mean it’s kind of good but tbh this album was just okay. Nothing revolutionary.
@@sheershchaturvedi4534
I wouldn't say it's one of his best albums but definitely better than scorpion and more life imo
Nah it’s quite easily his worst album. But it does have a few highlights.
Sons of light agreed i feel like its his last album where he is actually trying musically hopefully his next album is good not just filled with filler tracks
although i'm not the biggest drake fan, this is actually one of my fav albums .. but of course not everybody likes the same things .. it's all good
This album is criminally underrated. Some amazing rnb cuts on this and lots of nostalgia.
Maybe drake’s best album imo
@@exquisite_benis woah woah woah, I love this album, but Take Care is knocking and wants to know your location
@@rapalla021 If u like the rnb Drake, this and take care are his best works, some cuts on More life too, but if you like the rap Drake, NWTS and IYRTITL will be his best works. Although Take care has some rap bangers too.
@@exquisite_benis Slown down there buddy lol
Mans called redemption boring im dead😂one of my fave songs lol
Damian Vasquez facts g 🙏
Redemption and Fire & Desire 2 of Drakes best feels tracks.
right i was just here for redemption 😭😭
same man
nah fr I luv Redemption bruh 😭 so underrated
How does one find Fire & Desire boring? That’s one of my favorite “slow” Drake songs. I agree with most everyone in the comment section in saying this is definitely an underrated album. It grew on me as time went. I really enjoyed this project. It would sit behind NWTS, Take Care and IYRTITL but still a great album
Devon Spohn I think it’s hard for someone that only really listened to rock to appreciate this kind of album, they are always looking for melody and that energy you get from a rock song
That comment is crap lmao. He listened to rock for a long time but he loves albums by the weeknd and frank and others who have slower songs... this album (and that song) just arent very good. This was a pretty terrible album all in all.
Keenan Nash You really tripping of you think this album is terrible.
@@oIZemiixo terrible may be too strong of a word but the album was bad... it was probably the most disappointed I've ever been in an album. Coming off of 3 great projects (TC, NWTS, and IYRTITL) this album had so much hype around it and it was pretty bad.
Keenan Nash Everyone has their opinion and I seriously disagree lol. Just because it’s not all rapping doesn’t mean it’s bad, fire and desire, keep up with the family, redemption, views, Weston road flows, Grammys, u with me, so many great songs. Even summers over interlude is one of the best I’ve ever heard. And if you don’t like “slow” or “soft” music that’s on you. A
Whole album is basically the vibe of the cover, dark skies inside while it’s raining type music
Exactlyyy, he needs to come to Toronto and really feel the cold weather to get it🙃😂
yeah it suits it really well
Trust me that's all the Uk is rain all year pretty much, only thing i remember from Canada, that we don't have is the snow, but at least Canada has nice summers
Redemption is amazing song, Im surprised that you aint feeling this one

I know like wth. I guess he just doesn’t like the slow jams.

legend
This album is so underrated, i genuinely bumped this album for 2 years after the release and kept finding songs that I liked. I think it grows on you even if you don’t like it at first
That’s how most of his albums hit though you won’t love it till after a couple of listens
Dis album definitely not underrated. Issa classic tbh🤧
but when you go and listen to take care or NWTS a lot of these songs don't sound as good
Something a lot of people miss if they don't actually look closer is that this is a concept album about the city of Toronto in the different seasons. Each section is indicative of the vibes of the season they represent. The long outros are designed that way to make it feel like the "year" is cohesive and each season blends into each other.
Imo this album is definitely something you need to be in a certain mindset or place in life to enjoy. Lowkey it's heartbreak/depression music and if that's not you it's harder to relate to it. It's 100% more melancholic than any of Drake's other work but that's why a lot of people love it. It's not all hype, it's introspective midnight driving around with no place to go music with a few bangers sprinkled in.
Zach Mulder nicely said. I remember him saying that this was to mimic seasons in Toronto. Keep the family close you can hear the snow blizzard, Summer’s over int, etc
Weston Road Flows is so underrated. One of his best where he's just spitting about life.
Top 7 track of his career
The title track is also up there as well its also a top drake song and the sample he uses was near perfection
I knew he wasn’t gonna like this album. This might be my favorite drake album lmao
It’s really mediocre. Don’t know how people give this more attention than even thank me later. Which I think is a sleeper of an album from drake

Great shout.
What are your favourite tracks? I love most of them but mine would have to be Mojo So Dope, Mr Rager, Don't Play This Song and Scott Mescudi vs. the World.
Matthew Champion mine are Ghost, All Along, and Don’t Play
I've spent more than a few nights drivin home late at night listening to Fire and Desire
Joemax Abe same! Definitely one of the more underrated tracks on the album
Fucking preach!
Spotify told me it was my most played track of 2019 lmaoo
Still the vibe
It’s now 2021. In the past week this has become my favorite Drake album. Saw a couple of say it’s aged like fine wine, and that’s a FACT!!
Same
I’m telling you this is my favorite Drake project and feel it’s the most complete.
It’s supposed to feel like a longing reminiscent of past and bitter present. It wasn’t meant to have lots of Energy because he’s pretty worn down and just giving his honest opinions on things weighing him down.
NWTS is his most complete album
prodbysonder I agree on that too, it’s definitely rounded out better with less filler. I always have to interchange both for his best work, but Views just felt like a sound of someone who is just defeated by everything. Nothing was the same was similar, with a more optimistic look I guess. It boils down to what things you were thinking while listening to either project. Definitely wouldn’t call Views his weakest project and Scorpion better
Lol
@@SirBernardicus what every major album represents to drake is take care: heartbroken but in the rise nwts: the rise emotionally and finally being confident about himself views: the draw back and the reality check that he isn't perfect. iyartitl: the rise again and all the confidence he lost in the process to break with his label more life: just him being mature and him growing as a person scorpion it doesn't really matter it is a commercial album also as dldt but mane dark lane demo tapes is one of the best commercial albums all time
This album is underrated. Imma be honest I didnt like it at first but it's really grown on me. Summers over interlude is amazing

SO FAR GONE
Edit: I think in MORE LIFE he said he was just super mad when recording views.
”I was an angry yute when i was writin views, saw a side of myself that i just never knew”
@@TheEminosH but i didn't saw him so mad in this album, well yeah he was like disappointed in his whole actitude but i didn't saw him mad, what i see is the confidence that people praise on If you are reading this is too late is present here, but it is more of an egocentric confidence, this album was the transition to drake be simp to be a chad in the next mixtape he dropped
Like what bigquint said, this albums songs flows through with Drake's different music styles with a wintery feel full standard Drake from the beginning and ending while the middle is a summer aesthetic with dance hall
And r&b
when you're done reacting to drakes albums you should listen to some singles of his for example "0 to a 100" one of his best tracks in my opinion

This is the most "experimental" album in Drake's career, he tried many new things especially on the singing side and it still sold 1 MILLION COPIES 1st week.
People are now loving it because they were afraid to admit that this album is great when it grows on you and they kept asking for classic Drake tracks which are great but seeing such a big artist like him try new things is always good.
He said his next album CLB is gonna be different like Views and I'm hyped asf being a big Drake fan
Did you like Clb? Also I love views too but how was it “experimental”
It only sold 1 million because it was an iTunes/Apple Music exclusive initially and it was also the most hyped album of 2016 as well and then he dropped on all other platforms 2 weeks later and it got even more streams so yeah this is why this is still the biggest drake album ever despite Scorpion and CLB having more top 10 hits but they never had longevity unlike the Views singles
Love these reactions Jon! It’s like I’m reliving all my favorite albums for the first time again 🙏🏾 Views is Drakes most underrated project for me!
Views will forever be my favorite Drake album. Not his best , or anything close to his best , but most def my favorite. The vibe speaks volumes
This album is a masterpiece. I remember listening to it in 2016 its sooo nostalgic for me and even listening to it today its soo good... Fire & Desire, Summers Over Interlude, Keep the Family Close, One Dance, Controlla, Redenption, Grammys pffffff so many W's!!
Why is no one talkin about U with me? It’s so underrated.
The record will grow on you the more you listen
Feel no ways man. Fucking great track. This album grows on you fr. Even the songs I don’t like I find myself liking certain sections of.
Woww! This reaction is not what I expected since VIEWS is on my top 3 or 4 best drake albums. I think that this album is so much of the time of its release that you kind of had to hear it the same year (even same summer) it dropped to really enjoy it! AND I WILL NOT LET YOU SLANDER REDEMPTION LIKE THAT EVERR!!!!! nah but you definitely gotta be in the right mood for this album and I do agree that the outros on many songs were too long! For me, this was an instant classic. Really let’s you in to the world of Toronto. Because that was the whole idea of the project. How the seasons of the city changes and the many elements it has! Re-listen to this album when you’re in a more suiting mood and you’ll definitely like it :)
This albums tracklist is actually brilliant, songs and themes go from winter to summer to the comedown of when summer ends (last 2 tracks). Very underrated album due most probably to the time. 2016 was a good year to hate him, right after IYRTITL and the beef with Meek. But, listening to it 4 years later, you can really see it for its individual brilliance. Again, very underrated album.
I've always loved this album and remember bumping it in the car a lot during summer 2016. To me it capped off that golden era of Drake projects and More Life/Scorpion really made me miss Views.
U With Me is one of my favorite drake songs of all time, hella underrated
This fucking album is such a throwback fuck. I was a freshmen in high school when this shit dropped. Brings back so many memories and old relationships Man how time flies. Enjoy your time🙏remember we won’t get time wasted
Such an underrated album, this one holds so much sentimental value for me. Plus it coming out 6 months late, I remember listening to this album for the first time and loving it. I still find myself listening to this album all the time.
Damn man i feel like this dude don’t normally miss on his reactions but Family Close, 9, Feel No Ways, Controlla, One Dance, Too Good, Child’s Play, Pop Style, Fire & Desire this shit was a instant classic man idk
Jon love your reactions! you've almost done all the albums by now only makes sense for you go back and listen to his critically acclaimed mixtape So Far Gone from 2009 (basically what propelled him to stardom and was nominated for many awards) and also his debut album Thank Me Later from 2010 I think there would be some things you really like on there. Presuming you haven't heard those by now. Anyway, thanks for all your videos Jon wish you the best of success going forward!
As a Drake stan I was never a big fan of Views, but in the past few months I’ve been back to it, especially those «special songs» like Feel No Ways, Fire And Desire, U With Me etc... and some songs were cool at the moment but now are hard skips, like hype, grammys and still here. 🤷🏽♂️ They rlly wasn’t it for sum reason. Even though this album still doesn’t rank in the top 3 by Drake for me, Views, 9 and Pop Style have all been on my top 10 fav Drake songs list for like 3 years now!
So much of drakes discography grows on you over time, idk what it is but even the most basic songs eventually become my favorite at one point or another. Similar with Bryson tiller and J.cole
“I was an angry yute when I was writing Views, saw a side of myself that I just never knew, I’ll probably self-destruct if I ever lose but I never do”
It's a standalone album. It's like an artist that writes a trilogy than writes a whole new book. This Album reflects Toronto's changing weather and how no matter the season, there is an underlying coldness throughout. Starting in winter, moving onto Spring, Summer and than Fall, ending back in Winter. That's why even the hype songs feel cold.
Ay I love this album. It didn’t take me serval listens to love it either, I loved it immediately. I was in a dark space at the time and this was just perfect man. I loved the dark sound, gloomy. Redemption, Fire & Desire, mannn. But also Work, Controlla, and One Dance during that Summer. People reminisce so much on Summer 16 for a reason
Most underrated Drake album, so many epic lines!
Fire & desire is one of my favourite tracks all time!

I understand the disappointment with this album, I remember waiting for this Album for a long time and it not living up to the surprise album IYRTITL. HOWEVER, songs were widely praised with songs like One Dance, Controlla, Pop Style, Too Goo & Hotline Bling being played to death on the radio and still in clubs to this day. This album MATCHES the feel of early/summer 2016 and helped drake gain a new and even bigger fan base and sky-rocketing him to superstardom, proceeding the very famous diss tracks against meek mill and the single "summer sixteen" which both helped the hype for this album.
“They like pablooo. Why are all your windows tinted on yo tahoeee” you missed the throne on pop style bruh. Kanye verse is quite enjoyable.
The throne wasn’t on the album version
Drizurp yeah I know just thought it would be a nice mention.
Sorry dude. Dislike your criticism on this one.

It is bloated. I think everyone can agree on that.
PLEASE react to So Far Gone... it’s the start of all of this and you’ll get to see his progression
U with me , 9 , fire and desire , Weston Road Flows , FaithFul , Childs Play and With you are my favs but this album is so smooth it’s a classic to me
Ngl, views isn’t a first listen record. I think it’s now my favorite drake album
When you listen to this record while commuting or working, it's definitely way less distracting than lets say he previous records that were more energetic. This album will grow on you if you listen to it. There's not a person I know who at first was disappointed with this album who now believe it's one of his finest works. Also, i know what you mean by it can be boring, but if you think about it, you were sitting at the computer for 1 hour 20 minutes+ expecting something to catch your attention to generate some sort of reaction for the video, when really the best way to listen to this is to sit back and not focus as hard. Nevertheless, i'm glad you got around to listening this record, great video as always Jon.
I always tell everyone this is my favorite drake album, this shit is sooooo underrated
This album was on repeat constantly for me when it came out. Redemption is still underrated af. I was going thru Drake albums now that FATDs dropped (which y’all will love later on in life) and I just realize this man does not miss. Now I’m back on this album on repeat all Winter 🥶
This is my favorite drake album tbh gotta give it a few more listens
Also DID YOU REALLY SKIP REDEMPTION?!
PERFECT TIMING. I just went on my lunch break and needed something to watch. 🙏🏾
It is lowkey my favourite Drake album. It gives me some personal vibes that none of the others do.
such an overhated album because people were expecting an IYRTITL part 2. which i don’t blame, that project is Drakes best and getting Views after IYRTITL, a lot of fans were underwhelmed, but if you just listen to the music, minus the commercial tracks lmao, most of the music and the production on this project is so rich and luscious and alt right gorgeous. once again, i get why people didn’t like Views, but it’s in its own lane and that’s what i love about it. definitely aged very well
“Fire & Desire put me to sleep” wtf. If it’s not back to back punch lines you just don’t like it
everyone has different music taste.
This album is a classic and in my top 3 of Drizzy's albums, and that's very hard to say... Great review.
I’ve noticed in your reactions you aren’t exactly a fan of slower r&b sounds and music. Whether that’s because of what you’ve listened to growing up or if it’s just you don’t feel it the same way as r&b fans. This album has some of the best production I’ve heard and songs like “u with me” and “redemption” are instant classics and songs that everyone needs at some point in their lives. Drake just wants to make great ass music, it isn’t always the most lyrical or innovative but the shit sounds great.
This is one of my favourite albums. Probably drakes most underrated. Holds nostalgia for me, I worked nightshifts when this was out.
can't wait for asap rocky long live asap to be on RUclips!

Views is drake’s most underrated album, and I say this because i think because of the hype after back people expected something else. Great album

Redemption and Fire and desire are honestly modern RNB classics. Both just hit you emotionally. Faithful is one my favourite drake songs as well, fire DVSN feature. React to DVSN Jon
One of my least favorite Drizzy albums. Just didn’t enjoy the energy. His mind also wasn’t in it too much either due to the whole Meek drama.
Lowkey, Views is my favourite Drake album and Feel no Ways is amazing

its so interesting to see your reaction of this be so opposite to the reaction i had when it came out lol. idk if its because im from toronto but this and take care have always been my favourite drake albums,,,, views is so nostalgic and ive always felt so much comfort when listening to it. ive never heard anyone else have ur reaction to it so it was cool to see a different perspective!
Views is a classic bro.
This album is an album that you’re definitely going to get at first. It’s aged like fine wine and it took me a while but I revisited it a few years later and I loved it. Never cast an album away when u don’t like it at first because it might just be your favourite albums after a little while.

He was probably in a bad mood while recording
I envy you for being able to listen to this for the first time. Also the album is supposed to change with each season i.e. summers over is changing into fall/winter
He called Feel No Ways and Fire and Desire BORING! thats the best Drake type of tracks imo those slow rnb joints are his best on Views and More Life
