Very interesting. It seems our end users wanted us to develop a turn key cloud based solution. We delivered. But I like how their going a step further with MQTT. My employer doesn’t care to use that protocol at the moment. Also downtime isn’t tracked via the plc. (No tags) so when customers want to integrate our solution into their current one it’s a nightmare for them. Thanks for taking us along!
Appreciate the first hand look and analysis! Great that they have a trial version of cntrlx. Sounds like this is open technology and not an expensive, vendor locked solution based on an infrastructure that will not scale. Could be great for my automation students at Pennsylvania College of Technology if a full digital twin can be simulated for free.
Yeah, these guys are thinking right. Build a platform and let us develop on it. Good stuff!
We thought so. Very excited to see what they will do in the future.

Very exciting what they are putting together... and we are definitely looking forward to what they bring in the future.
Someone tells Bosch and @Walker that this is at least 5 years behind!
You guys have a vision, keep on, you might probably catch up probably not
5 years behind whom?
Hey Walker, where did you buy that jersey? 😄
It was actually a gift given to him. Unfortunately can’t buy them anywhere… I wonder if we should make some Merch similar to it 🤔
@@4.0Solutions sounds like a good idea lol
Thanks for the info on this. Interesting concept. Open SDK is often a Monkey's Paw though.
Glad we could help.
How is this different than building a computer and OS specifically for industrial PLC applications?
Sounds very similar but with the advantage of potential central management. We will need to expand on this.
