Awesome man! I've been kicking around ls droid or hp. After seeing this I wanna go with ls droid. I got one of your dangles on the way. Donations link would be awesome.
You sir are a Gentleman and a Scholar, it seems like you're the best person to ask this, what is the way to get gen 3 pcms to talk with gen 4 style clusters (ls swapping an 07 colorado)
Hi Pete,,thank You for the great work, and you time and efforts on making this diagnostics tool so transparent and easy to use. Question: Any chance you would ever try porting this to Linux? I realize Linux users would be a very minuscule portion of the user market,,,but being a 40+ year user of Linux,,,just wanting to ask, It seems it wouldn't be real difficult, knowing your initial LSDroid for Android is basically a mux of Linux. Thanks again
Love your work Pete. This and PCM Hammer have/will give people options to do their own cars without being handcuffed to the name brand software. Will this work with genuine Bosch MDI’s for reading/flashing? I’m assuming Tunepro is used to do the mods. What will the cost of this program be once released? Looks great and so is the video 👍
Ls Droid is free, always has been. Currently the only too the app supports is the OBDX Pro VT, support for J2534 tools and possible the AVT are something that are possible down the road but for now it's just the OBDX tools since I already have a huge list of things I'm still working on.
@@PeteS160plus Cool I thought being a windows based program and the effort you put into ( looks professional) a small fee or a donation option wouldn’t bother some people (like me).
What you have done is amazing. Can't wait to try it out. Have you been able to get it to upload/download with the ecu in a full harness without killing the other modules on the bus?
The OBDX Pro tools with Ls Droid have no issues with in vehicle use provided the bus is in good working order. Ls Droid for Windows was tested against a 2006 Escalade with 18 modules present on the data bus and had no issues controlling the bus while reading or writing a PCM.
Pete forgive my Ignorance. Does your program with odb sx cable? I’m trying to figure out what I can buy currently that works with your software. Thanks
you should make a step by step videos for dummies such as me I really dont understand all the computer words .like what does each thing do like what does read or write pcm.or what is bin builder how do I use it. segment swap how exactly does that work.anyway I really want to learn this stuff and believe I can if its showed to me and explained to me to wear I can understand it .not really having any kind of computer training at all . great video and love everything your doing .thanx again .sorry for sounding like I'm an idiot but there's alot of fellas like me out here
I'm talking about from the very beginning of the process such as reading ecm saving it .finding an xdf file or os file that matches and so on .I bet you wld get alot of views on it thanks again
yea i understand you there .and i apologize for being rude im a mechanic and i know how that goes. just trying to learn this stuff like alot of others that dont understand the mumbo jumbo stuff. and the videos and all the info you provide is no doubt awesome. some folks just learn better than others as for me if im showed something once i seemed to do well that way . i didnt mean to offend you in anyway . again very interested in learning and wont give up until i find a video that shows me step by step from the get go . straight till the end .thanks again for all you do
Go to the ls droid facebook group, it's been covered many times. Its due to the programs encryption protection and that's it's not signed using a Windows code signing certificate.
If you search the Ls Droid Facebook group you'll see that's a common issue. Its due to the fact the program is encrypted and that it's not signed with a paid security certificate.

Unable to install, says this contains a virus. Anybody have this issue?

Can I use a harbor freight Bluetooth scanner ?
