Jamie, Les, Billy and Ian will always be my favorite lineup of the Cult. I have followed the Cult to present day and seen them many times live. I still miss this lineup. ☮
IMHO to this day Nigel Preston is the best drummer The Cult have ever had, his playing on Dreamtime Live at The Lyceum 1984 is immense, he was only 21 at the time too. It was so sad how life panned out for him after they fired him.
@@Nominay Nigel was/is my favourite drummer as well, Mark Brez... never played live for them but is on their best album. Les Warner got to play on their most popular tours but was then dropped like Nigel for reasons i dont know. RIP Nigel. As for Matt Sorum, who gives a fuck. John Tempesta was good as well. Dont think Dave Lombardo will ever play for the Cult but it would be nice to have an Album with him playing , would love to here that.
I'm lifetime Cult and just figure the drummer I noticed less was my favorite. I was just dancing and howling howling to some thing and didn't hear anyone hit any drums.
The Cult 85-86 were the most exciting band around. A great vibe of 60’s/70s rock and psychedelic flavours and the coolest image. For those who’ve never heard Phoenix you’re in for a treat!
I stumbled into The Cult one drunken weekend while watching Saturday Night Live. I later told people about this great band I saw, but forgot the name. Then my friend Richard came over with an album I just *had* to listen to. It was Love. I fell in love.
Uh. Did gay dudes like the song Love? Is that why y'all kept following me around with my Ian Astbury but red hair? Love is their top 5 or so but doesn't build like some others
i know how it feels a lost of someone close , i loss my parents in a car accident ; not in the same time i was terrible stills it is ; hello from argentina ; the cult the best rock n roll band
Love is like some gift from another dimension. Why The Cult ever decided it needed to ape the American glam-rock scene... biggest mistake of their career. Their tribal, native American, alternative, art rock-inspired material was the best. But then again, the mid-80's music was trippier than is often acknowledged.
Stunning looking girl, such a waste, I recently heard an old friend had passed a few years ago from the same poison, he was in a coma and literally brain dead.
I lied on Love and some songs on Elecric I heard drum, and on Sanctuary only a single drum beat matters for anyone who knows which one I am talking about
Ian mi da l'impressione di poter cantare molto meglio , sembra risparmiarsi. , e' buin frontman , ma non ci mette passione !! Salta anche molte parole , il resto molto buono , il chitarrista top!

@@iltonwhiteCorrection. Nigel is your favorite Cult drummer. Les is other people's favorite. The best drummer they had was Mark B. on the Love album.
@@Nominay Correction. The best drummer, that you think they had, is Mark B.

Goth as well. Great Alt band.
Grande band.....me li ricordo bene negli anni 80/90...
. Poi Ian è davvero un frontman spettacolare....
E pure bellissimo....
What a great band. I think this was my favorite era to hear their live music.

Man. Billy nails the exact sound of Sanctuary in this show.
These guys rock it bigtime. Killer stuff! I listen to them almost every night.
...saw an old friend in the audience, she died a few years after this on a heroin overdose, a sad story ....sends shiver down my spine....

“American glam rock scene??” You’re grossly misinformed and shockingly ignorant.
very nice my favourite band as teenager yesssssssssss
Same, and now i'm 55 - htf did that happen !

That's bullshit Firewoman when Astbury inseminates the stage although new was so good no category of rock could find a specimen cup
Great production job !! 👍❤👍
New album is fab, jamie is cool as fuck
Incredible

thanks CFFC
long tours, do they have time to rest between concerts? this seems hard on Ian... the heat! and yet... long life to you!
No video shoots no fluff no bikini chicks just songs that last and a wake of destroyed ear drums across the planet.
❤
Excelent!
having watched the NYC Ritz earlier - this is more subdued
Thanks😊👍❤️
9:50 revolution!!♾️♾️♾️
DVD no notbook ou na TV
Ian Astbury missed a lot of vocal lines for most of the songs. Looks like he was high as f*ck.
Ye I ve noticed that too actually.. He wasn't in great condition here compared to other lives
That's the way you do it no stranger to love *boogie*
👏👏👏
Ian looks like he's on some pretty heavy devil's dandruff. Great performance though!
what is alabamahalle; a pub?
A venue, back in the days

Very odd show. Ian seemed to be somewhere else, almost disinterested. Thanks for sharing though.
How do you figure -- seems as passionate in this show as many others?
I think that he looks knackered, not disinterested.
Ian mi da l'impressione di poter cantare molto meglio , sembra risparmiarsi. , e' buin frontman , ma non ci mette passione !! Salta anche molte parole , il resto molto buono , il chitarrista top!
glad that vampire look got out of style
