@zzodr yes scouts=settlers.Only armies can explore huts and villages Note:there are cards that give the ability to explore huts with your scouts(if I remember corectly)
Hi I just watched your review of Sid Meier's Civilization and the game is very interesting. I've got a question regarding the civilizations just how many are there and is it all right if you can tell me what nationality are they? (Ex. American, Russian, etc.)
Find a gamer group meetup nearby. I was in the same situation like you, and then I found a gaming organization that even had a lot of its own games, and I don't regret a thing.
Baba Yetu from civilization 4, it is the Lord's prayer sung in Swahili. Peter Hollans and Malukah have a youtube video of it and is quite entertaining.
So if both trade and research phases are done at the same simultanenously does that mean that when it is for example 3 player game if everyone has done their turn once they can get 3 techs??? (Is this question too compicated?)
I'm right in the same dang boat. I am dying to buy Rex: Final Days of an Empire but God knows how hard it is to get a second person in a game much less the required 3 for Rex. Even if I managed to, I would have trouble getting them to pay attention during the rules explanation. I will be a horrible dad, I'm gonna get married and have like 5 kids and make them play those 3-6 player games with me alllllll the time to make up for not having anyone around right now.
This all seems quite complex, and would probably take me a while to learn, although it looks like it fun I don't think many people I know would want to play it. :'(
Seek for local board game lovers club. normally they gather around once or twice per week and have fun. you get to enjoy your favorite game and meet new people. If such a club does not exist in your home town you can always establish one;) just my 2 cents
I have the exact same problem, I would love to buy games like this, Mage Knight, Twilight Imperium, A Game of Throne, Lord of the Rings, Eclipse, 7 Wonders, T'Zolkin, Last Night on earth, Age of Empires 3 and many many more but I don't really know anyone who would play them with me.
I have one friend who likes to play the games with me. It stinks that nobody else does especially when something like This game is wonderful when played with more than 2 people.
So settlers and scouts are the same thing, and the same plastic piece? And you said settlers cannot explore huts right? So only armies can explorer huts?

I played this game at Gen Con. It's a great game and I recommend it to anyone who likes in depth strategy type games.

No, each player has their own separate tech tree that only affects them.

Can you have an unlimited number of barracks per city? For us this tends to be the aspect that most rigs a game. Whoever gets the most barracks.

Same problem here, I bought Risk 2210 and civilisation last week and when I invite people over they ask me if I'd rather go in a club lol

i guess u made a misstake with the culture stuff. you cant buy cluture cards. you only get them if you hit one of the 3 "I or II or III" marks.
