Thank you Giannis, this video helped me so much tonight, I removed the bumper to install a tow-bar. I found instructions in a service manual I downloaded, but they used language I wasn't familiar with and I found them confusing. Seeing your video gave me the confidence to go ahead and get started on it. I still ran into some confusing problems because my New Zealand Corolla (2002) has small plastic mud-guards attached to the bumper (right behind the rear tyres) that hide access to a few of the screws/clips, but I found everything eventually and got it off. Thank you! Now i know how it would normally be done. The previous owners apparently pulled a dirty on us and used a crappy generic bumper. The body was poorly panel beaten too :(
