Thank you to everyone for the support I have received from this video, one of these days I would love to revisit this video and take a second look, maybe fix some stuff I've gotten wrong and even discuss the potential return of Charlie Sheen to Television...

    • @yannick245

I just want to ad that Sheen was really sober when he did his legendary interviews.
He had some sort of a cocaine introduced psychosis/mania that really gives the people suffering from it, the feeling of a constant high, without actually _"using (Charlie and also myself hate that word)._
To proof that he's sober, he actually took drug tests before giving these interviews.
Although I'm a user of downers, I've witnessed many people in the state Sheen was during that time.
It often need neuroleptics to give an end to this condition.
And AA/NA _(Alcoholic/Narcotics anonymous)_ is definitely a cultish organization!
The 12-step-program also heavily relies on God/religion/spirituality/power greater than oneself etc. Just read the twelve steps. Or just give your local AA/NA a visit!
I think it's not a good thing that in the US, you often get sentenced to join AA/NA, after a DUI or a crime/misdemeanor that involved alcohol or/and drugs.
Here in Germany you have the option of many different organizations. Yeah, many of them are also Christian/religious ones, but there's always the option of one that has nothing to do with God/spiritual methods. So if you have the option between therapy or jail, you don't have to rely on some cultish organizations.

@@yannick245 huh. I've never heard that. Are you able to post a link to the footage/article from a --credible-- non-blogger/-editorial source that confirms these drug tests you're talking about?
I've never heard a whisper about Sheen having a psychotic break related to cocaine use, but not indicative of ongoing extreme intoxication from cocaine. (That is to say while I wholeheartedly believe this was a cocaine induced psychosis, I'm hard pressed to accept that he was sober during the meltdown broadcasts.) I would love to read firsthand the reports which mention/confirm the negative drug tests. TIA. ✌🏻

When Charlie Sheen announced he was HIV positive in 2015 he said he was diagnosed "around 4-5 years ago".
If we trace that back in time, it matches his meltdown period.
My theory after all these years is that Charlie suddenly found out he had AIDS and went berserk.
His troubles with cocaine increased a lot during 2010, season 7 was shortened to 20 episodes to allow Sheen to enter Rehabilitation during summer break.

I thought the very same thing. The show clicked but I was disappointed that Jon Cryer wasn't paid more as he was, pretty much, the YIN to Sheen's YANG! It was a pretty good show but when Charlie went amok, it had started to fade but, when Charlie left, it was a corpse but rigor just hadn't set in....yet!

She never bad mouthed her kids' dad, and just wished him the best, and then made damn sure that her kids wouldn't get anywhere near him at that point in his life.
And its not just about being the bigger ex-partner. It's about the dump truck's worth of shit she undoubtedly put up with while married. AND then being handed an opportunity where no one could defend the man, regardless of what was said. She deserves a medal, I'm sure.

They should have went with Sheen’s idea on having a heartwarming scene to introduce a new sitcom called The Harpers. That was a brilliant idea. Hollywood is filled with money hungry producers, directors, executives, who do nothing but just sit on their ass all day and tell the actors what to do. They are puppeteers.

Another Charlie fanboy missing the point.
Alan got a TERRIBLE divorce settlement because Charlie slept with his lawyer, but she was manipulative and vindictive, handing Judith more than she wanted.
    Look, that's the plot anyway.
Because Charlie screwed up Alan's life, he had to let Alan live with him.
In real life it would be legal malpractice, but hey, this is a sitcom.
Alan stated out straight and caring for his brother in return for his lodgings, yet that's not funny enough, and Chuck Lorre is known for detesting continuity, so the Alan character morphed, and John Cryer played it like the professional he is.
I guess Charlie Sheens biggest problem was that he wasn't acting when playing Charlie Harper. Charlie Harper was who he truly was.

So Charlie Sheen is going crazy during current day at that point, and in the movie the camera pans to him and the first word out of his mouth was, "Drugs?"

What if phones were built with secondary sensors in the screen, and/or a receiver next to the mouth mic, to detect cocaine levels in the blood. (Reading the % saturation of cocaine metabolites in the breath vapor or sweat, and then doing some math...) And if levels are past a certain threshold, the phone simply won't allow you to FIREBOMB YOUR LIFE.
Calls wouldn't go through, but on the Human 8-ball's end it sounds like it just keeps ringing and ringing. As though they reached a landline with no voicemail or "answering machine." Texts would not be sent, but to the Cocaine Monster Tiger it would appear as though the texts were delivered. It's just that no one ever replies. This way the Chemical Maelstrom doesn't get the opportunity to rant about the phone not working, is never inclined to go to a phone store and throw a destructive tantrum in public, etc.
Who wants to help me develop this? Hollywood would be interested. Very interested. 🤑🤑🤑

Charlie Sheen is without a doubt a troubled man with a lot of talent! I watched his HIV interview with a lot of respect for him and a LOT more understanding for his troublesome times around the unofficial end of two and a half men (though he had many troublesome times). He is a character that I, despite of many scary news, wish only the best. And two and a half men will always be my favourite sitcom (can't help it, grew up with it and my parents went through a divorce just like Alan and judith but I sadly never had a crazy uncle that would make my shitshow life a little bit more fun. So I guess I was drawn to the sitcom and REALLY heartbroken how they treated his character after he went)
I hope for a sheen comeback!

I had watched the series from the beginning & had always wanted Rose to be with Charlie. It took Charlie forever to realize that Rose was his true love (maybe) & then Charlie gets killed. What a bummer. I tried to watch after Charlie was gone but it just wasn't the same. Charlie Sheen made that show what it was & when he was gone the show went downhill. I love Ashton Kutcher, but in 2 & a half Men, Charlie was gold.

I'm sure Charlie had his own viewpoint on the whole Chuck Lorrie mess. But forgive me if I find it incomprehensible that somebody who got paid over $1 M per show, would publicly announce he was "GOING TO WAR" with the very same people paying him the million per show?
Charlie might have done better if he'd handled the problem as Charlie Harper would: by getting falling down drunk, meeting up with an "escort" in a 5 star hotel room, and forgetting all about the non-existent problem...

Great video, except for your comments about Anger Management, that was a hilarious show, and compared against his old show that was on at the same time, it was better. Although Two and a half did become pretty good again.

Sometimes that voice in your head is Satan saying the same thing that he told Eve. Always a lie. Nothing good comes from listening to it. God is love and Satan is everything without love.

The kid that played Jake did a mediocre job at best. I just never felt he was a very strong actor. And the things that are cute from a ~10 year old wear thin from a teenager.
When that voice drops, gleefully naive becomes dull and stupid REALLY quick. The adopted daughter; Lily, in Modern Family comes to mind. Just meh. But hired as an infant...Score. I dont see that girl being hired were she able to speak at the time of auditions.
    Anyway, tiger blood, winning, etc.
