Just want to say your the best. I have been making tumblers for about 2 yrs now and I always have no fail when following your instruction. Thankyou so much.👍
I am also from the PNW, well from Seattle born and raised. First gen to be born in the PNW actually, my great grandma moved to Seattle from Arkansas in the 1960's. I moved to TX about 6 years ago but do miss the skyline. I mostly miss Mt. Rainier but secretly I even miss the rain ;). Thanks for showing us how to make a PNW skyline.
Heya Sis! Couple things about this video- we’re trying to keep regular filming schedules amongst this quarantine with a family of 5, sound issues with my mic, and some other “lifey” stuff. THANK YOU for all the positive feedback!! I’m not loving this video but I hope you’re able to get something out of it. I’ve got new filming equipment on the way and we’re going to take some steps to make sure we only improve our filming process. I LOVE all my subscribers and really want to be here for you guys during this time. Thanks for watching and thank you for being a part of the Flynn Sisters Community ❤️🥰❤️
There are so many cups you've posted in the peachy olive group that I've drooled over and racked my brain trying to figure out how you did (this being one of them) so I'm SO excited that you're sharing your knowledge. Thank you!
Great video, beautiful tumbler. I didn't know you were from the PNW!?? I'm from Mukilteo and see the most beautiful sunsets every night. It's beautiful if you're on the beach at Mukilteo, at sunset and look south towards Seattle and the sky is a darkish blue.... your dark blue in this tumbler reminded me of it. We are SO lucky here! Thank you so much for taking the time to do these... much appreciated!
I have a request to do a fairy/moon tumbler and I was so worried about how I was going to do the moon! You just simplified it so much for me and I'm totally going to do just that! You're amazing Jessica! So glad I found your channel! 😁
I love this cup so much! Thank you for sharing the technique. I have some sunset photos from my beach here in NC. I think this technique would work awesome with to help me recreate my photo on a cup. Wheels are spinning. ❤️
Heyyyyyyyyy friend! This is so beautiful! I have learned so much & my techniques have improved because of your selflessness in sharing your wisdom & knowledge. Thank you! 😘
This cup is GORGEOUS!! I actually came across this video last night and purchased the glitters this morning! I can’t wait! Can you do a video for a sunrise cup? I love sunsets, but I have a friend who loves sunrises. Thank you!!
Great video, glad you chose a harder project to show the pitfalls :) May I ask what you used to make your "handle" for the cup while youre working with it? Is it the piece that goes directly on the spinner??
Hello hello. Thanks so much for all the great tutorials. I just had a quick question please. Do you have any advice in particular to avoid the lines doing epoxy method to put the glitter on? I've watched all your videos (some more than once 😌), but still not sure where I'm going wrong. And it's not every time, so I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing different when they come out fine 🤷♀️. And I just put my first order in for peachy olive glitters, can't wait to get them!!
hey there! So, I would try using less epoxy maybe and letting it sit for a few minutes before putting on the glitter. There's a fine line between not enuf and too much epoxy when doing the epoxy method for glitter. Also, once you've got it on there and you let it sit for a few minutes, just look at it double check that you don't see any lines.
I'm following this tutorial for your stenciling technique, and I realized that I'm able to see the painted-over mountain range underneath the black spray paint. I see that yours shows a bit too in this video. Does epoxy hide this, or do you do anything additional to get rid of the line?
Beautiful cup! I know with all the craziness going on you cant find any kind of respirator masks right now but I have been looking for a full face like you have to purchase once everything is back in stock. Can you send me the link for the one you have (even if it is out of stock, I can keep my eye on it until its available)? I have a respirator but its not a full face and I get headaches, I don't know if its because my eyes are exposed, rather be safe than sorry! I love watching your videos every Wednesdays and Saturdays!
I honestly don't have a direct link to the one that I have because it was a gift from a Honeywell employee. It's like an industrial one. A quick search on google for a "Honeywell North Full Face Organic Vapor Respirator" will lead you to some sources so when this all blows over. I searched the other day because someone asked this same question and I couldn't find anything.
Thank you so much for your awesome videos!! Your facebook page has given me so many wonderful ideas. I have a question, not sure if you have ever tried this. But the look I want is a muted look. Do you think I could spray paint and glitter the same and then use a tinted epoxy to slightly mute colors? Maybe a touch of navy to tone them down? Thanks!
Thank you! I'm not sure how you'd do that. I don't know if navy over the yellow would react very well. Might end up looking green. Not sure about the look you're going for but maybe after you get all your colors on and epoxied till smooth, you could use a pearl spray paint over that. I know they have it at Walmart in the spray paint section. It will give a frosted pearl look with just a super light coat. IDK just an idea!
Question!!! When you placed the tree decals over the grey, did you seal the grey first with epoxy? I’m always afraid the spray paint will lift if I tape over it without sealing.
Is there a reason you do tape instead of using removable vinyl with a pre-cut design? I’m only 15 mins into the tutorial so if you mention the why later I’ll delete. I feel like it would be so much easier to use your machine to cut out a design and then just use the outline portion of the design in vinyl and then spray paint and remove.
Sarah Murphy-Green yeah, I mean you can definitely do it that way but it’s been my experience that overall, this takes less time. But both ways work! I’ll be the first to admit, I always do things the hard way 😩
...🥺 can I just buy this instead? I seriously I don’t have the space and $$ to be spending on buying all this material/equipment to make my own creation. Does she sell?
My question is, when you spray painting the cup black for the trees and than remove the stencil how will the mountains remain grey? If you spraying it black and the trees won't fully cover the mountain?
well in this video I messed up and placed the trees too high... but normally you'd spray paint the mountains grey first and remove the mountain stencil. let it dry. then place the tree stencil and the mountains will show through the space between the trees. If you follow me on Instagram there is a couple cups I made that show it that way.
To avoid getting white paint on your mountains and tree line with the toothbrush method for the stars, couldn't you just do the stars before the spray paint silhouettes?
you could do that but you might see texture from the white paint dots through the grey paint of the mountains. I just prefer the look of the dots instead
Just want to say your the best. I have been making tumblers for about 2 yrs now and I always have no fail when following your instruction. Thankyou so much.👍

Yes I can! Thank you!
Great video, glad you chose a harder project to show the pitfalls :) May I ask what you used to make your "handle" for the cup while youre working with it? Is it the piece that goes directly on the spinner??
Yes. It is the arm turner.
Very pretty, I’m trying that in just a while with my Dollar Tree plastic cup.

Beautiful
Hi. Your work is so beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to do tutorials. May I ask what is that black thing you use to hold the cup on the pvc
Sharita Talley it’s a pool noodle 😊 thank you!
Glitter literally makes me drool. It's ridiculous. 😂
me too lol!
I'm in Oregon, and can verify that *this* is a PNW sunset! 😍😍 Where in the PNW are you?
that's awesome! i'm in Bonney Lake, WA
@@FlynnSistersBoutique ahh, I'm in Keizer! (Just on the north end of Salem)
Question!!! When you placed the tree decals over the grey, did you seal the grey first with epoxy? I’m always afraid the spray paint will lift if I tape over it without sealing.
Jessica Aquino no I never do when I’m later paint like this and surprisingly it doesn’t lift.
I’m from the Pacific Northwest!
Have you ever tried the wet application with vinyl? Would that work for this?
I have not but it’s worth a shot
Question: how long do I let epoxy dry for between each coat?
There is no set answer. Drying time changes based on epoxy brand and type as well as environmental factors.
Where can you buy water slides? I don’t have a printer
You can try etsy.
So you can epoxy straight over the crafty acrylic paint?
yes you can
I need this cup 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 What do you do with the cups you make for your channel?
Thank you 😊 I give them away in my private group or to my family and friends
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I’m in your group 🥰
Awesome tutorial. May I ask what font is that for the wording?
it's a hand lettered design :-) not a font

Do you only sand the edges after you epoxy
Yes between layers
Where do you get your tumblers from? I’d like to buy in bulk
CraftHaven.com :-)
Which of the spray paint do you use. Matte,Satin ,Glossy or Semi gloss
I use them all.
...🥺 can I just buy this instead? I seriously I don’t have the space and $$ to be spending on buying all this material/equipment to make my own creation.
Does she sell?
thank you :-) I'm sorry I don't sell my cups anymore, I just teach on youtube. I do give my cups away in my fb group though almost every week now.
