This video is finer than frog's hair - bravo Jana!
Man I am missing updates to this channel, very chill mellow yet precise ambience . Hope you're fine and can resume after this pandemic
Beautifully done. I'm looking forward to many more of your videos. Congratulations.
Well done! I believe you have accomplished what so many other audio youtubers have failed. You allow us to actually get a sense of the sound of different systems. I like that you inform us of the equipment in the system via visual clues while we continue to hear the system as best is possible via streaming RUclips and the limitations of the on site sound capture process. Keep up the great work.
OMG, OMG!
Every aspect of that video oozed artistic and technical nirvana.
Gotta find all of your videos to see what else I've been missing.
Keep up the outstanding work!
Thank you for 11 minutes and 28 seconds of bliss!
Excellent videography, informative and just extremely well done! You have already become one of my favorite channels! Oh and I love how passionate you are about this hobby!
I love this series. Such a fun, virtual way to peek at beautiful systems and dedicated listening rooms.
First channel that I’ve seen room measurements and detailed descriptions of equipment.
This channel is awesome. 👍
That was really cool and well done. I was led here from a post by Steve Guttenberg on FB, really glad I took the time. It would be interesting to hear ones own setup captured in this way. I hope you keep doing this, what a great presentation.
Really enjoying your content, the attention to detail is very much appreciated!
I have returned to the hobby after a decades absence and have been delighted to find channels like yours, I know its probably an exhausting effort but please keep it up!
To me the best system showcases on YT by far. Very well done. Recordings sound much better than what one usually gets with these type of videos.
More of these please!
Gee, I love the way you put your vids together. Those floating captions make all the difference… 👏🌹🇦🇺✌️
I appreciate that you are using the same demo music in each video, this means that I can play the same Chesky performance on two different systems back to back for a better comparison
Incredibly well produced video, keep it up :)
Another informative and entertaining video. Clearly, a lot of work went into the system and your presentation of it here. Bravo.
Omg look how hot those are!!! The sound is soooo special. The sound is insane!!
I was randomly filming a house for work and turned a corner and saw some Avantgarde acoustic duos and was shocked, I had never seen speakers that looked like they had a tuba attached to the top of them. He had some beautiful tube amps, but sadly I didnt get to listen to it since he wasnt home. But always wondered what they sounded like. The binaural recordings you did here sound great and the equipment breakdown is awesome. Great job!
love your general approach to reviewing , the display of dimensions and room materials . i find the binaural recording an essential element in your medium . thank you a thoughtful and considered approach to audio reviewing .
I am so glad you are back. Your perspective and vision are exactly what we need. Your videos bring the human element that completes the equation as to what makes up the individuality of a system, which goes a long way towards creating the magic. Show systems? Store systems? Boring.
Another great video Jana, very informative and well edited.
Very cool room!!! Loved the room measurements and explaining floor structure and year building was made, these are things that really do matter regarding the final sound every system has. Your a natural at this! Great job!
This is the first time I have come across your channel and WOW I absolutely love your video!!!! This is amazing! You have a new subscriber. Thank you for taking the time to put together such an amazing video, I can only imagine the level of work this takes.
As soon as I saw Israel Blume's 300B monoblocks, I'm hooked. Looking forward to find out if a Marten Duke 2, Focal Diablo Utopia, or a Reference 3A Reflector will make it here.
Fresh, Different and fabulous. I especially love the quiet nerd data (measurements and equipment labels) Just a wonderful and fantastic concept. Thanks Alfredo--ya got good ears!!
These videos are wonderful, full of useful information and clever insights, imaginatively presented. What a visual and sonic delight.
Great job again! Well done with the meaningful and great sounding bonus tracks :). Even though there is some ringing at just over 3kHz (consistent across two headphones and my Magnepans), horn tech has sure come a long way! I need to get copies of your control tracks.
Hi Jana! A great video! I decided to subscribe to your channel because you have a
way with words and you know how to explain things in simple terms which is
appropriate for a dunce like me! I also love your photograpgy and the audio
quality is exceptional and I know that takes time and money. Love your modest
personality too ;) Best of luck from Croatia!
The best part of a good horn system is feeling the sound...
Once again, terrific video. Smart, varied reference recordings, unique and informative presentation, great system, and you, the engaging host. More systems, more vinyl,
please!
Another fantastic video! This is going to be a great channel.
My compliments to Oscar on a fabulous setup - Avantgarde and Coincident is one thing but MinusK isolation is serious stuff. Thanks for pointing out the finer details of this awesome room.
beautiful...thank you for your efforts and time
Fabulous sound. I know these MA Recording cuts very well and this system plays them well. Your recording is excellent and the presentation is a work of art. Well done. Sadly this video confirms that the $1m system is broken.
My system has a source very similar to the AMR cd 77 and the sound signature is very familiar. The ambient sounds are very clear. The breathing of the violist Nima Ben David on the MA Recordings is clear and present. On my system at home it is more pronounced, but here we have RUclips etc. The next cut seems to be live with sounds of a bar in the background. Great stuff.
Between this and Ron's resurrection at New Record Day, I'm actually looking forward to 2019 and that isnt something I would have said 6 months ago. Thanks for the effort you're putting into this Jana.
Thats a very nice thing to say Arthur! Thanks!
Jana - The Avantgarde horn sound strikes again! Alfredo picked it up loud and clear and confirmed what I though I heard on other videos. It seems more noticeable on Anatgarde's unbaffled horn lenses. Would love to hear the Avantgarde Zero (and Dutch and Dutch 8C) if you ever get the chance. Once you've had a chance to be exposed to a few more different alignments (e.g. well executed closed box, vented, open baffle, dipole, line array, transmission line, omni etc.) it would be interesting to hear your thoughts and preferences. Hope I spelt your name right. Thanks for vids.
Very nicely done shoot !! Using the same amps in one of my systems, they're really excellent, but I'm using different tubes.
Again wow.. all of your sound demos blow away everything else I have listened on YT.. hat off to you and .. Alfredo ;) ... Keep the good work coming, very interesting (even if completely out of my league when it comes to the actual gear used.. those pair if horn speakers are probably several times over my complete audio gear collection :) )
How come I only found this 4y after! Thanks Jana 👍🏻
Nice details and excellent captures .
I love your videos! Being exposed to these amazing listening rooms is wonderful. Another highlight is the new music that you are introducing me to. Thanks!
Great music pieces. I enjoyed the movement of the video camera as you got close to the amplifiers and speakers. I wondered what the POWERCELL 6 was? Good job, well done!
Just beautiful rig. Wow.
Love your videos. Well executed. Hope there will more videos to come, good job!
Thanks for bringing Nima Ben David to my attention, lovely music. I'll definitely be adding it to my vinyl collection! My only exposure to horn speakers were Klipsch back in the day. That put me off horns, unfairly it seems, due to a presentation which I found way to bright and aggressive for my tastes. The speakers featured in your video sound sublime. Apparently all horn speakers are not the same, go figure.
Absolutely agree!
All that video is something else beautiful keep it up Jana great
Great stuff again. Could you consider using a pre-sequence before the music starts tot give me as a listener an idea of the room acoustics? A couple of handclaps, perhaps a couple of standardised chords from an instrument that's is easy tot carry with you?
I love Avantgarde horn speakers. Maybe someday...
Great vid, Jana! Thank you! 🎶🔊🙂
Wow! I learned so much thanks Jana!
SF audiophile here too! I really need to meet more folks in my neighbourhood! I love horns too and big fans of the AvantGarde Trio. I personally have open baffle speakers
MARAVILLOSO! Cheers from Mexico City!
We need more from you!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏🙏✌
Awesome job! Great system and music!
I'm really diggin' these. Thanks!
I love your videos, it's more like art with science.....very good work
Miss your uploads Jana😍
Jana, I've listen to this one (Avantgarde's) and the Devore Reference. The Devore recording sounds quite a bit louder and more brash. Are the recordings leveled to be the same SPL's. Thanks, Great Work!!
I’m sure you know that your surname means “to add” in Tagalog. And you’ve certainly added class and fresh air to an audio world dominated by old and often boring reviewers. Keep up the good work.
Hey Jana, if not yet asked - I would love to see a video of how you record your uploads from the start to finish and what gears you use specially the mic to capture the sound?
Thanks for in advance and keep it up. Mabuhay!
I only just stumbled upon these audiophile videos as I was shopping for earbuds for my brother, so apologies for the noob questions...
1. Is Alfredo just a fancy mic?
2. Is there an optimal spot where the listener should be (where Alfredo is I presume)?
3. Do things like the size of the room and furniture (eg the rug) actually make a difference?
Love his belief in isolation.
Coincident Frankenstein 300Bs have transparency not easily found in even more higher priced amps. Great match with Avantgarde especially considering Avantgarde costs about 30x more than Frankensteins.
lol love Alfredo, such a cool addition to your entourage 😊
Great Shots!
Great job, Love Avantguarde, can you do some more affordable gear?
I love the sound & i love U. Janet!
I hope you come back soon :)
I'm a fan of the Tannoy Westminster's the seriously ridiculously expensive Living Voice Olympians..notice these are British, but here's the problem you need a massive house with a massive room for these speakers to shine otherwise they can sound cuppy and that's what I'm hearing here..Don't get me wrong the Avantgardes in a massive room will be fantastic but these speakers are for people with massive rooms..I do like them though because you can get away with 3-5 watts from a SET or PP valve amp
funny how all these comments sound like audio reviews, best content on youtube Jana!
Great video!!!
i have a dual parallel 300b amp from coincident its lovely at 18w and i spotted a topaz transformer
that the real secret sauce right there :)
What speakers are those behind you? Looks like Emotivas but couldn't make out the model.
Hey! Adam A5X + Sub8
@@EARSPACE oh my, I'm so envious!
GREAT VIDEOS, WHAT AUDIO SETUP DID YOU HAVE? REGARDS
Hey! The system featured in the video is in the description text, and my system that's in the part of the video where I talk is: Adam A5x + Sub8 (on IsoAcoustics platforms) and an SPL Crimson 2 audio interface. Source is my MacBook Pro. No specific USB cable.
I guess I need to go someplace to hear a really good system. I'm on an old marantz that sounds great but would like to know what I'm missing. or even if it's much. I'm building an active crossover rig now as well to see if that maes much difference or if it can help build out speakers in the future. I did like the room layout thing you did. Im an after effects junky and that wasn't a ten minute job.
Bravo! 😎👏🍾
Kudos on the level of detail. Could have mistaken it for your own house/system if not for the intro lol
More please.
Come back...please...
Yessss
Listening on cheaper Jabra Elite headphones with the Dolby Atmos turned on, on my android and I'm pretty impressed.
I Love this video.....
Jana, your audio on this channel is excellent. I listen to your shows with Hifiman HE-1000 headphones www.headfonia.com/review-hifiman-he-1000-save-the-best-for-last/ through a Viva Egoista amplifier headphone.guru/viva-audio-egoista-a-majestic-masterpiece-part-i./ By using Alfredo in the optimum listening position, you have captured a very accurate aural picture of how the system sounds in the listening room. I appreciate all of the time and effort that you have taken to list the details of the release of each recording. (I wish more audiophile channels were as diligent as you are in their production!) It certainly makes it easier to find the recordings later on for purchase. And you do an excellent job showing room dimensions and detailing the room treatments for sound absorption. Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to releases in the future.
in another life where i will be stupidly rich,i will too own one or two pairs of amazing acoustic avantgarde
Now this guy is an audiophile :)
Very clever.
Feel free to give personal impressions.
Just.......WOOW
Great vid of course, but... Why dont u ppl say anything about Jana's voice?? (*-*) It's so calming and hypnotic, really special in my opinion =)
I like his choice of front end sources: AMR CDP and the SP-10Mk2.
❤️
🙌🏽
W O W.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.....so.,.,.very..fine. Kindly apply this comment to both the featured system and EARSPACE audio/video production.
Cool video. I have never heard an Avantgarde speaker that sounds coherent from horn to bass, and these Duo Primos clearly has the same issue, obvious even over headphones...
I LOVE YOU
sounds like aurora
Not impressed, sorry. I'd start by looking at the turntable. I've not been impressed by the old sp-10s, even modified. You've got very revealing speakers, and instead of going with what people say, why not use your ears, and decide for yourself what you like. Those speakers are very dynamic, and you might find a turntable that brings that out, and find yourself enjoying dynamics close to real life.
To my ears this is not tonal musical sound like some others system I listened . Quiet bland sound.
