Good album, much like Laura, and unevenly bursting with sweetness and mystery. Clear definitions of singer-songwriters of that era in this record. Carole King, Jackson Brown, etc.
I started following O. H. when he released S/A. I bought, Runt. The Ballard of Todd Rundgren--loved it! Except for WGGYAW & Believe in me, never heard this LP. Accidentally found The Last Thing You Said, and ultimately this medley. LOVE IT!!!! More Todd music that should have been promoted more than it was! Lack of promotion dogged his career!
One of the first albums I got my hands on when I joined my college radio station - just in time for AWATS, SA??, and Todd!!!
Still a great tune! Rediscovered it and really sent me back in time.Such innocence. His early voice was just so pure. He still has an extremely magnetic sound, more polished, more assured.I 'm still as captivated by him now, as I was back then. 💖
June, 1970...The very 1st moment that I heard of Todd Rundgren was hearing this song on WINX 1600AM Radio in Rockville, Md. They didn't play it very often and after that 1st listen I waited and waited to hear it again, and I never forgot it. At the time I didn't know he was a Wizard yet, but I sure as hell knew he was a genius !! ~ Happy 74th Birthday TODD !!

Why does Todd have to play so much Utopian stuff (I am asking myself not you) . Electronic sucks to me. How great was the hard rock electronic of Utopia? Not very, he was better doing more slow reflective ballads like this. "We gotta get you a women" came and went? I know talent goes and one doesn't want to repeat oneself, but Todd with so much talent; you used to swing baby better
@@oppothumbs1 Electronic doesn’t suck it’s just not Todd’s best style. He plays aimless proggy electronica. A Wizard A True Star being the exception, it’s a masterpiece
He said himself he could write a thousand “I Saw The Light” type songs, pop just became redundant to him. With his talent I believe him

Soupy Sales sons sons played with TR on this Album. Hunt Sales on Drums. His brother Tony Fox Sales on Bass. I 'Soupy shuffle" with White Fang & Pookie, to all of Todd Rundgrens upbeat music.

He dumped Laura Nyro. Big mistake Loser. Reminds me of the Beatles tune. He imitates her style in first two minutes of song. "I'm not your double" 😂
He spoke of her influence on him. It’s on every Todd record. I didn’t know they broke off on bad terms or they were together at all
