The book could also turn him into a monster from his greed, explaining why he transformed into a bigger body at the end but died because his own body couldn't take the new form. The demon could have represented the prototype and was either using his body for tests of the powers of the book or tried to make him his minion. (BANANANANANANAN 🍌🍌🍌🍌) Anyone got theorys of other reasons why he might be slowly dying? Other than the book's magic consuming him.
Here's my theory: catnap was beginning for food when a guy passed by he acted like accidentally drop his book then since he was beginning for food he ate a page that said the side affects of the magic book that said *once you made your wish you will get weak* so he saw it he touched it and he got the food then he saw the dogday king so he wished for to have gold stuff, gold crown and money then he thought *am taking a new from* then he became bigger then he went to it he fell I his old self but weaker then he past out and dead then the man took the book back

That got so dark. Catnap is literally living on the side of the road and he's slowly dying from starvation and starts eating the pages from a magic book someone dropped on the sidewalk. He touches a page with a pawprint with the captions "touch her" and wishes for food. Then he gazes across the street and sees a statue of a royal Dogday (I'm sure it's some form of a Burger King restaurant) and wishes for food and royal items up to the point of worship. The ending is he got too greedy and decided to close the book. He looked so bloody it looked like a car ran him over. Poor Catnap. Someone feed and give him a forever home please!
My guess is when he was in the middle of worshipping the royal Dogday statue, he didn't see the car coming towards him. Catnap realized after he got run over he got greedy and he decided to close the magic wish granting book. Or he thought he was getting food and royal items and such that he decided to worship a statue of things he wanted in his life and was inching closer to the restaurant. Catnap was hallucinating everything up to this point where he didn't see the car coming and it ended up hitting him. My guess is that's what actually killed him in the end, not starvation. Still that's another horrible way to die. No seriously. Give poor Catnap a good home and plenty to eat and drink. He needs it so much it's killing him. 💀🥀💔
