Thanks-Just updated my set👍
Nice!
I dont like that it defaults to noise reduction now...
Yeah, I’ll have to check those out myself. Plenty of settings to play around with. Getting mine dialed in for how I’ll be using these MICs. But everyone’s use case will be different. Overall…it’s a great MIC for run and fun shooting.
The noise reduction switch On/Off on using a quick press of the transmitter's PWR button can now be disabled, meaning that the only place you can switch the noise reduction on or off is on the Receiver. Whatever the setting is set to in the Transmitter remains 'sticky', unless otherwise manually changed. This is MUCH better and now works much more logically.
THANKS! Personally I like it ON, so if I’m recording and it gets noisy, I can just pinch the transmitter power button and have noise reduction. 👍@@hamradioop5777
at first it couldnt work. found out i was at the wrong mic firmware update 🤣 be sure to update the correct firmware guys. i downloaded mic instead of mic 2! thank you for this video!
Thanks for sharing
Great video, thanks for the info, personally I found the written instructions on getting the transmitters updated were pretty clear as mud, and I must have done it incorrectly as they now show, no version whatsoever..
All you have to do is plug transmitter in to a PC while it's off and it shows up as mass storage aka a sd card, then copy the bin file to the main folder aka root then eject it for safe removal, turn it on and it will load bin file and led will flash red and green when it goes to normal its done.
Thanks..hopefully you got it all straightened out. Process is similar to many other firmware updates I’ve done but might be confusing to some. You’ll find RUclips videos out there showing you step by step since the DJI MIC (version 1) is similar. Just remember the RX (receiver) needs to be OFF, and TX (transmitters) can be ON or OFF when you place the . BIN file under the root directory. Disconnect everything from computer and everything should load. Takes a few minutes on the RX. 👍👍👍
Why do you think there have been any changes to audio, as there is no mention of it in the list of changes?
I have a number of DJI products and over the last 6 years noticed DJI will make improvements that are either not documented or are vague at best in the release notes. To my ear it sounds better in the newer firmware.
In the notes it says they fixed some known issues, but never say what those issues are. Any idea?
No....I've been buying DJI Products for over 6 years now. They do that all the time but no one ever knows for sure. Some of it's most likely quality improvements in sound (but minor). A lot of small adjustments can be done in editing software like DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro., etc.
Does it bring any change in sound quality? Is the maffled sound issue fixed?
I don't really notice any major changes in sound quality. Though, I've noticed (for me at least) that you want to increase the GAIN value. The zero (0) (default) value seems to quiet (at least for my voice). So I would go a +2 on the GAIN setting. But with today's video editors I really think audio can be tweaked to most peoples liking. Hope that helps.. Some other videos mention to check the TX Setting for the LOW CUT setting. When enabled, the transmitter will automatically filter low-frequency (100 Hz and below) sounds, thus reducing low-frequency noise and making for cleaner recording. You may want to play with that setting and see if that helps as well. I personally, didn't notice a huge difference between the ON/OFF setting (but guess it depends on the type of testing your doing as well).
Simple it's not. Dragging files manually to update is prehistoric.

I hear ya but they're not directly connected to the internet so its all we've got for now. GoPro does the same thing with their camera. Gotta upload the new firmware to the micro-SD card (root directory) and just reboot. At least it's not complicated.
ok so im really happy that the noise cancel button can be disabled ! .. but this is what I dont get ... this tx is small , so most men have banana hands and holding the tx to put in their pocket , its easy to hold the power button and turn it off including recording ! .. how is this possible ??? surely all they had to do was a disable all tx buttons via rx !!
its just so frustrating ,,,.. please can everyone message dji ? all we want is a hold option like the zoom h1 which is ancient !
you make a video, but then don't show the actual steps on how to do the update. lame.
Step-by-Step is in the video...
