Im from this area in Ohio and seen a tornado about a mile northwest of my property when the lightning lit up the sky scary stuff , These things were all over last night and caused massive damage in certain places and took some lives as well RIP to all of them !
I live in Southern Ohio and it was interesting watching all of this unfold. The storm in Indiana and Kentucky was separate from the main storm that hit the Wapakoneta, Ohio area. My area had some heavy storms, but not as damaging as Indiana and Kentucky received. The radar was indicating the Southern tail of the storm to fall apart and the Northern section to continue growing. Nope, quite the opposite happened. The tail grew and spawned a storm that produced a tornado and lots of damaging wind and hail. BIG HAIL!! Vevay, IN and Warsaw, KY probably got the worst part of that storm as it continued dumping rain across Northern Kentucky and into West Virginia. Meanwhile, the main storm front pushed through Southern Illinois and Central Indiana, where lots of tornadic activity was forming. The Northern line of that front reached all the way to Buffalo, NY. As it crept East into Ohio, the storms intensified in strength and spawned the tornadoes in the Northern portions of Ohio. That same storm front finally reached my place around 9 or 10pm, producing a massive amount of rain and some marble sized hail. And more lightning than I really care for. So fierce, the vibrations were knocking items off the shelves and rattling windows that don't normally rattle. The whole house shook like it was an earthquake. We get some pretty nasty storms in this area, but the lightning from this was a lot more than usual and was extremely close by. Normally, if you see a flash of lightning, you can estimate how far away it struck by counting the seconds between the flash and the rumble of thunder. With this storm, there were no hesitations. It felt and sounded like bombs exploding, one right after the other. It's been awhile since we had a storm that charged up. To think, this is only March, the beginning of Tornado Season. I can only imagine what the rest of the Season has in store for us this year.
@@mark1448 Yeah, it sure looks like their new AI Software is off to a great start. lol Ohio is unpredictable, anyway. I've seen 5 seasons in one day many times in my lifetime. You'd think having snowflakes falling on a fresh sunburn would feel good. NOPE!! lol
