    I have this hub and it is powered with 60watt block. The hub or os will eject the ssd periodically. I have to take the bottom panel off,pull out the sod a re-seat it so it can be seen.

      hmmm.. That is weird, I haven't experienced that on my end. It's basically hooked up on my mac mini 24/7 and I never turned the mac mini off when I was frequently using it.
      Have you tried checking if the SSD is well secured and doesn't move?
      Also, have you tried other USB cables for both data and power, and maybe use as 20W block instead of 60W?

      @@lcadigitalmedia I have two of these hubs and they both do the same thin. I've even gone into Terminal mode to change the disksleep time to max. And it still does the same. Why use a lower power block> Both of my cuuent blacks are hard wired and therefore no usb cords.

      @@davidanderson2305you may have to check with Qwiizlab's support on that issue.
      It was a suggestion to check and troubleshoot by eliminating the possibility that your power adapters might have an issue.
      Also, it may not make a big difference but trying out the same wattage the hub is designed for to confirm where the problem is could help you narrow it down.
      Troubleshooting is about finding where the issue is, so you have an educated (possible) solution instead of finding a solution straight on.

    This is so frustrating! I just bought the UH25 MAX for the extra HDMI port to run another monitor. Some of the UH25 MAX units have USB C ports on the back labeled "Computer Host 1" and "Computer Host 2" but mine are labeled "Computer" and "5 volt power." I have it plugged into a 60 watt USB C power brick. Everything works except for the HDMI port in the Quiizlab. I saw in another youtube video someone mentioned the HDMI port on the Quiizlab won't work unless you have both USB C ports on the back plugged into your computer. I can find no mention of this on the Amazon product page where I purchased this and no mention of this in the documentation. I'm back to using my ACME HDMI dongle.

      I think that’s where I plugged mine, both to the mac mini when I was using it in my other office. It also makes sense as you need more bandwith to push to the HDMI Cable
      It’s worth a try.

    So this needs to use 2 native USB-C ports on the mac mini and gives you one USB-C in return? That defeats the purpose of a dock in my mind.

    • @lcadigitalmedia
      @lcadigitalmedia  Год назад +1

      that is true unfortunately; but believe or not, more than half of the population still uses USB-A ports which this dock is designed for (it has 3 USB-A). It also has 2 SD Card readers (1 is mini), and an HDMI Port for a second monitor if you like; This is also to expand your storage with an HDD and/or SSD.

      You can use a usb-c wall adapter to power the hub and leave the mini's usb-c port open. I think it has to be 10watts or better power supply

    • @jigeeshshah100
      @jigeeshshah100 Год назад

      @@tobygoodbar that could be a good solution if it works and would certainly be worth a try!

      @@jigeeshshah100 I don't own the dock yet. But between Reddit and Amazon comments this IS a known working solution. 10+ watt power brick and a usb-c cable
