    Excelente video, muy completo, una pregunta, ¿es normal que la fujifilm X-S10 a los 15 minutos de grabación continua en FHD 60fps 50Mbps, ya muestre el icono de alta temperatura en amarillo? se lo pregunto porque hace unos días compré una y me pasa eso, también comprobé que con solo navegar en el menú, sin grabar, sin tomar fotos, a los 30 minutos continuos después de haberla encendido, también muestre el icono de alta temperatura en amarillo, ¿eso es normal en la cámara? o es la que yo compré la que está defectuosa? muchas gracias por tomarte el tiempo de leer mi comentario y de responder, éxitos en tu vida, haces un buen contenido en tu canal.

    I wondering how is your dials/buttons setup? It has 2 less dials than XT3/4. The front dial is aperture, rear dial is EV. ISO has a button. That means the left dial will be either Film Sim or SS. When using the manual lens, which button better for focus zoom?

    • @MaartenHeilbron
      @MaartenHeilbron  4 года назад

      No shutter duration on the left dial. You don't need a focus zoom button - just turn on focus check and the image punches in as soon as you turn the focus ring. So far, I've had to reassign WB to the video record button, otherwise that's a menu dive.

    Which kit lens ?
    Thank you for your preview of the X-S10. Apologies if this question has already been covered.
    As the X-S10 has IBIS am I paying an unnecessary premium for the F/4 16-80mm with OIS. Am I better off putting that $$$ towards a non-OIS lens with a lower max aperture such as the 16-55 f2.8.

    Maarten, I've just discovered you due to my trusty 6 year old X-T1 dying on me last week! I somewhat rashly went out and bought an X-S10 without any real research! I'm not a pro but have a decent following on IG and an upcoming print show the summer. I'm also just realizing that what I thought was a brand new Fuji is a year old already!
    I've never responded to one of these talks before, but you are refreshingly mature and calm compared to the young upstarts!
    I had developed a limited but reliable technique with the X-T1, basically everything manual, but now am in shock from all the options and the "hated" need to go back to menus, the lack of which is what led me to Fuji! I've never owned a DSLR but fell into photography shooting moths on flight during a plague of Gypsy Moths in upstate New York. My Canon G9 and later, G15 was all I had. So there seems to be too many options here, for my old technique to even function! ( I am also a musician having similar problems with the music software that I opted for to make my 2nd album in Covid isolation!) Too many choices!

    Hi, Love your delivery. I started out on a XPro one after memories of my mums old Agfa. Fuji reminded of the old cameras. When through X pro one, Xt1, Xt2, XPro 2, Xt3, X100T,F,V, XE range. Then i discovered sony and jumped to mirrorless. As my skills developed I went away from the dial, old school style and worked as a pro for a few years. Recently I picked up the Xs10, I have to say I think Fuji have nailed it to a large degree, I think most photographer like the idea of all the dials but in reality just want to keep their eye in the viewfinder whilst adjusting settings. This Fuji is a nice marriage of old Fuji and more modern dials. The biggest thing I love about this camera is the feel in the hand. It’s such a nice thing to hold. I think for the money its a great choice. You can customise this thing to work just so. I love this camera and I can’t wait to see what they do with both updates and new versions once they get all the customer feedback., Well done Fuji, A for effort.

    It appears that the X-S10's viewfinder is the same as those on the X-T30 and its predecessors. As a glasses wearer I have struggled with the small size, round shape and "hard" surround on those cameras compared to those on the X-T1/2/3/4 and X-H1models. Hi Maarten, I wonder if you can help. I took photos with Fujifilm xs10 using FINE+RAW image quality. Then I copied photos to my Macbook Air using USB CARD READER as connection mode. Now when I open Apple Photo app each photos has JPEG+RAW shown on it. After that I wanted to use Fujifilm X Raw Studio to edit RAW photos. I changed Connection Mode on my camera to USB RAW CONV/BACKUP RESTORE, then connected camera to Macbook using cable, opened X Raw studio, but I cannot see any RAW photos. X-RAW studio does not import images. You have to import them to your computer first, and then open them with X-RAW. You do have to have your camera connected to use X-RAW, so this is misleading.

    Hi Maarten, when paired with a 16-55, I'm wondering if you think there is enough space/clearance for the hand? I have used an XT30 with 16-55 and I imagine having a deep grip on XS10 would feel much better. However, based on camerasize.com comparisons, I am not quite sure there is much space between the lens and the grip when paired with a 16-55. Anyway, I got a question: How did the handgrip feel with somewhat larger lenses like the 16-80mm f/4 (or even larger, if you have tested it with any)? Is there still enough space between the grip and the lens for "average-sized" fingers?

      You are correct, sorry was in a hurry. It's fine with the 16-80 (the one I'm holding in the video) but the XF16-55 is just slightly too big - I can get my fingers in, but they're right up against the lens. I think my fingers are pretty average.

      In my opinion, the X-S10, with a larger sensor and better autofocus is the superior camera.
      In this video, I using a shotgun mic (Deity S-Mic 2S) on a boom that's about 10cm from my mouth (just out of the top of the shot). That goes to a Tascam DR-70D, which in turn goes to the Fujifilm X-H1 camera. In other videos I may also wear a Sony ECM 44 lavalier mic.

    Great video! Thanks Maarten. I am an X-T3 owner myself and sometimes feel it’s too much of a camera for me. I am mainly into Street photography and Travel. For both I use the X100V or Ricoh GR II with a lot of joy, due to the size and photo quality. But having also an interchangeable lens Body around gives me the flexibility that I sometimes need. The size of the X-S10 together with the more simpler, automatic orientated design is very appealing. Which one would you recommend for travel, street, and occasional portraits shooting? Can’t wait for the full review! Thanks again! Goed gedaan! 👍🏻

      Well, I currently have a Fuji XT1 with 5 lenses, so I already spent quite some money on the x-mount system. I mainly use my camera with the Fuji 35mm 1.4. I love the image quality, but I find the autofocus terribly slow compared to other cameras I had before. Every reviewer says that the weak point of the XS10 is autofocus, but it should certainly be a lot better than the XT1, no? The main reason why I would choose the a6600 is the brilliant autofocus system (especially animal eye autofocus). It would be easier to stick with Fujifilm since I already have quite some gear, but I’m worried that the camera itself would not be a big upgrade over the XT1 in terms of performance.

    The Q button seems to be in a strange place. Do you find it easy to use? Also, no UHS-II would seem to be a negative for using high burst or video.

    • @MaartenHeilbron
      @MaartenHeilbron  4 года назад

      Actually, I'd rather have it there than on the thumb rest where I was constantly accidentally activating it as on some other Fujifilm models.
      While UHS II might be an advantage for burst (haven't tested that yet), it's not needed for video at 200 Mbits.
