Now I will ask a favor from you and I believe if you do what I'm asking, you will like the results and will have hoards of people liking it too! Could you do another video showing how to make a similar one but this time without the four outer support wires? Instead of the center wire, use a chain that is secured firmly to the top and extends from there to the bottom, where it is securely fastened there also, through vertical holes drilled through both circular pieces. Also drill horizontal holes for inserting one steel pin through each of the circular pieces, going through the chain. This prevents the chain from sliding up or down through the circular pieces, thus making the table self supporting and able to stand on its own. With the steel pin being placed through both curved pieces, the table can be reversable, using either end as top or bottom. Also, as the chain is secured to both top and bottom, the table cannot tip over in any direction. This way you will have a seemingly impossible tensegrity table with the chain being its only support leg. Just imagine, a table with only one leg, and that being a flexible chain! A truly unique construction! After having searched throughout the Internet diligently, including You Tube, I can't find one anywhere that's built this way but I'm convinced this will work if constructed strongly enough. I would build this myself but I can't because I don't have a workshop or the necessary tools. And too, I'm not very physically adept anymore either, because of my advanced age and my infirmities .
I cut out a small version of this on my laser cutter... it took less than an hour to build and cost less than a dollar to make. This is an easy prototyping project if you want to test this design without +2K in tools. Lasers are awesome- cheap and far safer, too, in comparison. Cool video and design. Thanks!.
This design is genius! It seems like magic, but it’s all about engineering and physics. The wires work with physics and balance to make the top seem like it’s antigravity. The key is the center wire that connects the ring to the bottom hoop. The wire connecting them is shorter than the other four, so the ring can only fall as low as the center wire will allow it. The four wires on the sides stabilize the whole thing and keep it from tipping over. Just like the cables on a suspension bridge or wires that allow magicians and stage actors fly.

Замечания: 1. Конструкция по деревообработке слишком сложная. Для чего нужен паз чтобы вставитт кольцо? Чтобы показать что у Вас есть станок? 2. Это глупо. Вы либо стараетесь использовать минимальное количесво фурнитуры и тогда делаете сложные столярные соединения, либо делаете исходные части максимально простыми в изготовлении, чтобы использовать фурнитуру для соединения. 3. Эстетика. Если вы делаете фасцию на кольцах, скругляете края, то используйте такую же фасцию и угол обрезки для седла. Сочетание квадратного и круглого вызывает диссонанс, дисгармонию.
