Following your method now on 800 sq ft of 100% glued down engineered hardwood in our home. It’s a nightmare project but we are persisting very slowly.
You have patience of a saint!
I'm in the middle of a similar project. good lord lol very hard work. have another 500sqft to take out tomorrow
Rent the east hammer from HD for a day, for $200. The next day, rent the floor stripper, and be done with it. Use a scrapper for hard to reach places. The cost is worth it to save time, body aches and pain.
Can rent the one on a trolley. Or get a trolley for your chipping hammer? It's much easier with the trolley.
Yes I’m pretty sure you can rent the trolly. I have found that the trolly limits the angle change needed when doing the demo. But the trolly does make it less back breaking.
Pcd blade 6 tooth, you can reverse your blade purchase of 8 blades for 1 job to 8 jobs, 1 blade actually more than 8 jobs. Many more pieces of advice. But I like your perseverance and know you should never have to work so hard again to remove hardwood and you’ll reflect on those days.
Try using a sharpened digging bar and using it as a scraper
You’ll fly right threw it when it’s poorly installed
Yeah. That works. We usually sub it out to a company that has a ride on machine
Havign same issue whats the secret
Big big help thank man
Good stuff 💪
Nice Video !!!Would you be interested in trying our DOVOH laser level?
How much did you charge for the removal and what state are you in?
Good job
Do you know if anyone has tried to use a propane type burner to soften the glue, making it easier to scrape up??
I don’t. I think there is a chemical that can be applied to remove it.
I’m doing the propane method tomorrow over 1,000 sq ft wish me luck
What what they pay you for that man I'm curious cuz I have a job coming up and he wants me to call him on it and I have no idea
3.00 per sq. And that was removing it offsite.
That does not look like fun
