- Amy Wordsworth is pitching her superfruit toiletries for children. She's seeking an investment of £60,000 in return for a 15% equity stake. The young entrepreneur started the business after research led her to discover that there were “increasing concerns about the safety of ingredients in personal care products” but Nick Jenkins lays out the facts...
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

I like that Deborah made sure she was alright before going straight back to grilling her.
did she? she didn't actually ask if she was alright
She handled the grilling really well, at least she didn't argue with them. I think that's why Deborah gave her a chance, she was really absorbing all the advice she was being given
She looks like she's about to burst out crying for the whole thing
Looks like she is totally stressed out with nerves.
@Dain Hahahahaha
@Dain Exactly my thoughts.
@Dain beautifully put
@Dain One eye on the mantle piece and one up the chimney
Good bubble is now worth 2million. Kudos to Amy and Deborah🔥
Fantastic - and this is the sort of person and product they should be helping - amazing
PS - love Deborah
And the branding isn't even that different today!
Mainly debby. I mean without, Amy was sunk and gone with the 1000s who do not get that help. We wonder why things are so bad, we have millions of great products that could really give us value for money, but nope, they all fail because the big boys who milk us all dry, push them out.
I looked Good Bubble up- it's really cool to see this business succeeded- she's a really smart woman and she clearly deserved this success.
How much profit is it making a year ?
I use her products for my son . Very good and gentle on hair and skin .
Is 3.99 really all that expensive for a specialty shampoo? Seems cheap to me but what do I know
Im no marketing expert and i don't know general pricing of natural shampoo products.
However, going with a big brand name like dove, for that much money i could probably get 3 to 4 times as much shampoo or soap. Now again, that's just general, run of the mill shampoo but that might why she thought it was a high price.
Honestly, the branding looks cheap and they're pretty small bottles. I might pay £4.00 or over for my shampoo because my hair is super thick and hard to manage, but for my kids I just need something that cleans their hair well and leaves it shiny.
That said, none of mine have ever had skin conditions or allergies.
I agree. I was like "yeah reasonable" when she said it.
for a baby product maybe yes
It's not. I don't think That woman knows anything about shampoos lol. They're too rich to shop for themselves.
Good bubble is a success. It’s in boots now and I see many shoppers buy it.
Delighted to hear that...
Has it been totally rebranded as deborah suggested or is it still pretty similar?
@@thedunyadoneya2628 Yes it's been rebranded and the price lowered from £4 to £3

Why the hell did Touker say "he’s out" like he’s gonna cry? 😂😂

Probably because she looked like she was going to cry so he wanted to say it softly

BIG RESPECT to the Dragons, especially towards Touker and Sarah, how they can quickly treat a fellow business person when she felt light headed. It’s good to see that they still have empathy to others and not see themselves as sort of better then them.
Best thing about the video. I actually rewinded to see that bit again. The way Touker offered and dragged his own chair.

Not quite the same, the one with the banana had a low sugar episode due to Type 1 Diabetes.
I found this one more genuine. I can imagine a person getting lightheaded at being told "you have no business". The other woman got lightheaded when she was asked about her accounts.

What a strong determined young woman. I really liked how she managed to compose herself and get a deal with Deborah after feeling unwell. 👋👋👋
Debra wasn’t gunna invest but she felt bad for her 100%
Amy is a very likable woman, felt sorry for her when she had her little moment. You never know how you are going to react when faced with that kind of pressure if you haven't before.
Little moment? Perfectly timed manipulation move.
Who Amy is in real life is irrelevant, this is a meme now
@@johnsmith-wx5fb I doubt that at all, it's very hard to do something like Dragons Den and everyone is different with their confidence levels. When you have a company and your getting several people saying it's not gonna succeed or it's too small it can hit you hard and that's what happened here.

its a joke, this lass had rich parents and could have maintained total ownership with an interest free loan from them. Deborah is not involved in the company btw. The product has tried and failed at Boots and is now at low end retailers like Holland and Barrett and Superdrug who will be paying pennies for it. She claimed to be a independent woman who wants to make it on her own.... 30 seconds later she is begging for 60k from strangers then fainting almost. Reality check for you there

You could see her world shattered-she thought she was doing brilliantly, but didn't realise just having a product isn't good enough if the labeling isn't right & that what seems huge sales to her are peanuts to them. Deborah would have had to have put a lot of work in so 40% is fair.
Sher didn't negotiate on the 40% at all! 😥

SirBrasstion not hard to outwit a woman.
Utube Allday she didn’t say she was a strong cheese either.
Fake it till you don't make it
But it could have been health issues rather than nerves. Nerves under scrutiny is just the go to excuse for this type of thing. I say that to say, fainting being in front of people who are important to your livelihood really doesn't necessarily take anything away from being a strong nor being an independent woman 😉

Once again, natural neither means safer nor healthier.
Although I like that in the UK there are guidelines to using the word natural, whereas in the US anyone can slap a "natural" label on anything and so it quite literally means nothing here.
sharks are natural but im glad they are not in my bottled water lol. they are a bit bitey
@@tanilorn Y'know the thing about a shark, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'... until he bites ya. And those black eyes roll over white, and then... oh, then you hear that terrible high-pitch screamin', the ocean turns red, and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin', they all come in and they... rip you to pieces.
The deal with Deborah went through. It's allegedly 2 million pounds networth in 2022. The website has c 2022 and looks great. It's not too expensive. We live in a world in which people buy young living toothpaste for 20 Euros
I love these shows but they would be even better if they did a follow up on the deal and show if the product or service worked or failed.
I have been thinking the same myself. The concept itself is great but making a deal based on a short pitch and basic sales numbers is rather far fetched. I assume any deal made in the den is not a binding one ?
@@michaelbrandt5416Nope, plenty of deals have fallen through afterwards on certain terms. It should also be noted that the sessions are way longer than the 10 minutes we're shown on TV, iirc it's 1-2 hours or something.
She's beautiful, so attractive. I also notice her brand is in some of the main retailers so she is on the right path. Well done.
I think a lot of people here are being critical of her in a weird way. She delivered her pitch really well, her products had lovely naming, she stood up to all kinds of questioning extremely well, answered respectfully, really listened to the feedback she got, while still defending her business in a nice way. Yes she was clearly nervous, and it felt like she really had to fight to stay tough, but she handled herself well, and there's nothing wrong with having emotions over what you fight for. It is nerve-wrecking to stand in front of someone who can potentially help you on your way to achieving a dream, and trying to convince them to bet on you. Being nervous and showing your feelings on the matter to me only adds credibility that you really care about it. Especially when you still keep an open enough mind to take in feedback and don't just go super defensive with your emotions. She had strength to compose herself, knew her business and could answer anything they threw at her, and she had the passion for it. I liked her a lot.
And yes you can take the mick out of her for saying she's independent after just having said how she's being supported by her family, but we all knew what she meant was that she has a drive for self-sustainability.
That said I do think that there's a weird cultural obsession with the idea of independence. Being able to be independent is good, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with having people you can depend on.
Agreed
The cultural differences. Living with parents is no big deal in India. We take care of them as they age and actually if you have older parents who aren't keeping well, then that is seen as selfish.
Is that why 20 of you live in 1 house?
@@2288sharingan not as many nowadays. Just 4-5.
Yes but in the uk we have 27 years being looked after buy 60 year old parents.
You live with them because you can’t afford to move out. Don’t try and make out as though you’re morally superior when in reality, you’re just poor.

Its always cool when you see the success stories, even better when there's a little bit of drama
I can't get over her fish eyes at 5:15.
My mom had a home business many, many years ago and did well in her hometown where people knew her personally. In order to grow, she had to get her product "out there" and known. Even in the days when a brand new mid-size car sold for under $6,000, she set aside $100,000 for marketing and getting the product to be recognized and... gone. A hundred grand in advertisement in California back in the late 70s was not enough to break out of her hometown and become a statewide product, let alone national or international. It didn't matter that people across the border in Mexico loved her product (we lived on the border of San Diego and Mexico), that did not mean she could sell her product in Mexico for the same price she sold in the town... she would have to have taken a loss, because the Peso was very much worthless and most average people in Mexico could not afford it - only those from Mexico who shopped inside the US could afford it.
If she thinks she could sell the bath bubbles in China for the same cost as in the UK, she's got another thing coming.
... then thinking £60,000 is going to blow open the international market for product marketing? What marketing/advertisement firm did she work for?
