You are really getting good with these videos. I know there was some negativity to the longer format, but it looks like you made adjustments. This is really interesting. I was thinking of using this wrap and am glad to see these results. You changed my mind.
I think I’m liking glossy looks on the CT. TSportline had a glossy black wrap and that glossy PPF adds a certain look IMO as well. I’m starting to lean that way more than matte but it will be interesting as more folks take delivery and do theirs. It could be a while before I’m up.
Great video! Cant wait till you ceramic coat a CT and share the results. Quick initial thoughts are the ceramic coating would be best for the stainless steel as it should still prevent against finger prints etc. I could be wrong.
Never wrap, cover etc stainless steel, under the covered area you will gett pittings pretty fast, stainless steel must have its protection oxydation layer
Since the truck is mostly flat surfaces like a window, it would be interesting to try cleaning it with the tools of a window cleaner ... a solution applicator and squeegee. Then compare that to the more tradition hand-wash method. It seems like the window-cleaning approach could be much much faster.
Great video. Really interesting results. It would be great to test the ceramic coating on a corner to see the differences from an aesthetic standpoint and fingerprints too.
Suntek ppf its thinner and easier to cut on edges without having to wrap around edges. Do not use avery stek dyno or 3M as its harder to install and cut. Ppf should NOT be at all wrap around as its not a wrap film . Ppf will only go yellow if u pArk the car outdoor at least 6 hours daily. installer for more than 15 years.
Thanks again for all your hard work. I know this wasn't your favorite way to do the testing. Can't wait to see when you get one in the shop. Ps we real detailers here in the northwest, maybe open another location?
Oh, yes. Gloss 100%. Although, if I ever get it cyber truck, and I really want one, I am wrapping it in white. Or perhaps a silver. Really, any color looks good. I just love that truck. But, even if you can afford it, Which many can because it is no more expensive than most rams or F1 50s, you’re not gonna be able to get one for years.
Once you apply it to the entire truck I don't think either would look bad. I would much more prefer either of these two films than to have it full of fingerprints all the time. That looks nasty.
Definitely do not like PPF on CT. It just doesn't look right. And it doesn't make much sense to wrap HFS which is ridiculous 'freaking' hard, with something as soft as PPF. Interested in ceramics, can they prevent fingerprints. I doubt it.
PPF is an incredible waste of money. It may not be good for your paint, long-term. When it cost more money to apply this film that does repaint your car, you know something is wrong. Cars do not need this film. They never have before, and they never will. It’s a fad and an extreme waste of money.

I can't wait for someone to take a cyber truck to a real semi truck polishing shop .. them guys who will cut and shine a bull wagon ..
I love the gloss PPF look the best. That’s probably the route I’ll go

Ceramic Coating is BS , and not worth anything.
better to get GARAGE based proper Ceramic job that requires BAKING to cure.

You will wear and tear out the paint or the wrap sooner. That is the reason why they are selling those soft cloth car wash for your car wash.

How about just wrapping the high touch points? Mb the wrap can look like door handles?
I want to see a Halo warthog OD green line-x job over the whole thing
Love these videos, Colton!
Great advice💯 9:16
Can you ceramic coat it as a means to keep the finger prints off?
NOPE , not worth even doing. waste of time.
I like the PPF Gloss.
How do u keep the stainless steel clean.
I’m curious what GSWF color PPF in satin black would look like.
is it going to have less fingerprints and easy to maintain if the cybertruck gets ceramic coated?
It would look cool bronze.

What about color ppf
Did you wash it with just windex ?
Thanks again for all your hard work. I know this wasn't your favorite way to do the testing. Can't wait to see when you get one in the shop. Ps we real detailers here in the northwest, maybe open another location?
It kinda funny that Windex is the way to go.
Looks like XPEL is going to have to come up with a specific PPF just for the cybertruck that works with the stainless.
or just pay TESLA THE $7,000 TO WRAP.
Great video! Would you discuss water spots in ceramic coating (removing, preventing)?
USE Deionized water for starters.
@@markplott4820 WYM? when I clean it? Sure. But rain isn't de-ionized.
@@tool8337 - which is why you should do Nothing, except clean the Glass.
If it was more clear. It would be nice to just do finger print areas near the door
Anyone know any PPF wraps to make a vehicle look like the cybertruck's stainless steel? ha
I think the glossy would look good
What about stainless steel with ceramic coating, but you will not be able to test how it looks unless you are on the detailing shop
ceramic coating is BS, unless cured under HEAT lamps.

I want to see someone Blue the stainless steel. Birchwood Presto Black® SSB Liquid Concentrate to produce a black patina on all stainless steels.
“Crazy, I’ve never seen clouds before, so crazy”
I think the stealth would look good once the whole panel or car was done. it looks weird just having the small square
Can’t wait for someone to design some “Star Wars “ style photo realistic wraps, and our CT in mid 2025🤞😎
Panel protection film

Never use 3M PPF
STEK film is the best
This will be “interesting”!
GIMME Satin!!!!!
Gloss all day.
Paint Protection Film PPF is for painted cars. Clearly this is an inexperienced detailer.
Okay you don't like the gloss.....say it again.....

Looks meh, I’m keeping my raw or Matte black.
I don't know man, I just can't get into this car. I wish they focused on a sub 25k tesla instead of this but oh well it's cool I guess
