Good job, and I can say that from experience visiting a home like it. This layout is very similar to the way my friends fixed their house after a small addition and a big remodel, except a few things such as they had a pre-existing garage off to the side, adjoining the kitchen, and that's where their laundry was. It was still a little house after the addition, but everyone loved what they did with it! The access to the backyard from the dining area was everything.
I love this! I'd need more dinning space. I like the smaller home except I like to have my kids and grandkids home for dinner a few times each month so need bigger dining options. We're I live it is either to hot or to cold to dine outside 9 months of the year.

I would like to see more home plans with the social space in the back and just a simple front door entrance. Also, like others mention, there are a too many windows for me. I need wall space for art! … and it’s not like natural light would be lacking with a few less windows. Finally, I’d love to see a round pedestal kitchen/dining table.
Putting the hot water heater where it is with access outside and creating that wall so that there are ZERO non accessible corners in the kitchen is genius!! I might want to flip the master bath because I like having the dresser where it is and if the door into the bath was moved a bit it would be easier to get in but it also looks like there would be room for a large dresser on the wall between the closet and bathroom doors so....maybe not. This is a fantastic design.
There's closet in the entry and space for a bench to remove footwear. The kitchen could use more upper cabinets, but there's a good pantry closet for storage. I like pocket doors, but only where space would make a swinging door difficult. Overall, a very functional plan.
Is it possible to design a house without hallways? I need a nice butler pantry/laundry room combination with powder room off the kitchen. 2 bedroom with 1 walk in shower bathroom. Porches front and back. Single story. Lots of windows. Whatcha got?
You can get vent-free gas log fireboxes. As with any house smoke detectors and CO detectors are an item you should install for your safety, health, and wellness.
This would be a perfect home for me and mine IF that is a woodburning fireplace or if there was a wood stove. With the world the way it is, I don't trust the stability of either gas or electricity.
