Absolutely smart. Hopefully the machines didn't dent the wallet too too much. Emissions are not going away. I know a guy that took some emissions/dpf courses and is doing very very good for himself. Most jobs that he gets are jobs that other people can't figure out and he absolutely loves it.

We have had success with pressure washing the dpf and doc out with hot, low pressure water. Can watch the pink ash wash out. Had the machine like that one you have at the dealership, did hundreds of filters but didn't always get good results from the air pulse method.

Wow ! That’s some big money, yet very necessary.
When I worked in fleet maintenance at a county shop, they purchased one. Donald son unit.
The techs coined the term, thump, bake, blow. We used the heck out of it for our 30 bus transit fleet.
I like that cooling table !
I used to lay the filters on a bench, with a fan blowing into one end.
Not sure about big money, but it will be an easier job

Have you had any dealings with kenworth cleaning Dpf and Doc in there shop
Would really appreciate if you could target in on the SCR seems now days the DPF woes are really a thing of the past, seems to be all figured out…..is it just me or does all the problems weigh in on the def and scr system with nox sensors and conversion efficiency
Nice equipment, our shop bought the one similar to the one that blows shop air but it didn’t work well , wasn’t cleaning it out good enough, truck ended up back with same problem, ended up getting rid of machine and now we just replace dpf filters, we replace them every 200000 miles, good luck

Congrats on the new equipment. I am just confused. From what I know or being told is that scr is not servicable, so I am kind a confused what is going to do if you put whole one box with the scr in the "bake" machine, what will happen with the scr in that process, will it prolong it life or something?

I just bought a 1998 Freightliner with Detroit series 12.7 with 40k miles. Being a new but non-emission engine what type of oil and additives would you recommend? Would you still do cheaper conventional and change every 10-15k?
Can a one box be reconditioned back to new. I have been told there is some kind of metal inside that can not be regained not sure if that is true or false so just wondering so when my box needs repaired or replaced I do what is correct not looking forward to a new box. Also I just got a 2016 with a crate motor DD15 in it less than 2000 miles on it how can I tell if the one box has ever been replaced tuck itself has more than a million miles I have been told so I’m concerned about the one box thanks hopefully I can get work done in your shop in the future

How long have you been cleaning DpF filters? How do they get or is there a way to check before and after the cleaning? Do you have multiple locations? Thank you.
We offer the cleaning service since start of this year. We do check the weight and air passing volume before and after cleaning. We only have one location in canton
On another note, our ram 5500 just got back from being deleted 😂 but congrats on this equipment to help people who choose to keep emissions intact

We charge $350 for each DPF, don’t know the cost yet. We haven’t done enough to figure out the cost. Will share later

Because DOC is welded on the one box. We charge flat $1,200 to clean the whole one box
