    Jules gets in the Patriots HOF, the Football HOF he won't be able to make....but let me paint the picture.....7th round draft pick (nobody wanted him), a QB coming out of Kent State......switched positions....has multiple punt return TDs, has a defensive TD, has many tackles, defensive coverages, even thew a clutch TD pass in the playoffs....played any position his coach assigned him on.....we haven't even gotten to his offensive production, which is limited because he was part of a dynasty where he played a role and didnt put up garbage time stats....nothing but clutch in the postseason, one of the clutchest WRs in the playoffs behind the GOAT Jerry Rice.....never made the pro bowl, never was a top 5 or even top 10 WR of his time (fantasy owners might say he was a PPR machine)....3x SB Champ (was clutch/pivotal in every single SB, including multiple hard nosed 3rd down conversions to go along with the go-ahead TD that gave them the lead for good against the Seahawks), SB MVP as he shredded a top ranked Rams defense, one of the greatest Super Bowl catches against the Falcons in the biggest comeback in the history of the sport...a 3rd down MACHINE regular/post season.....a short undervalued white guy thats tough as nails...a leader on the sidelines and in the huddle....one of the best slot WRs ever.....he won't get in to the Football HOF, but you better believe he will go down as one of the greatest underdog stories in all sports, RELENTLESS......he did EVERYTHING for his team........that's a Hall of Famer to me.....feel free to add anything i missed or give your take.....

    I’m not saying he is definitely a Hall of Famer, but we shouldn’t pretend like it would be crazy to let him in. Edelman was never the man in the regular season, but in the playoffs, he was a main security blanket for Tom Brady. It’s kinda like the “playoff Rondo” effect in the NBA. You don’t get to be second in career playoff catches without sustained postseason success. Dude is second to Jerry freakin Rice!! That’s badass. He also won super bowl mvp in a game that Tom Brady won. Only one other person can say that. He may get in, he may not get in. It doesn’t matter to me. But if he does get in, it won’t cheapen the hall in my opinion. - A Giants fan.

Don’t let the 2 miracle plays fool you Eli did not play well in both Super Bowls abs was carried by his defense. Edelman torched the legion of boom aka one of the best secondaries ever, won super bowl mvp guarded against jalen Ramsey who has HOF potential, was the main receiver and made one of the best SB plays ever against ATL. huge Julian Edelman fan trust me however Julian Edelman has no Chance to be inducted in the Hall of Fame because of his numbers I believe he's around 25 maybe 35 touchdown in his regular season career only had a thousand-yard Seasons twice in his career only has 0 Pro Bowl in his resume and never led the league in receptions or Yards.. I do believe he has a better chance getting into All Time Patriots Hall of Fame

    Here's the thing. If Rob can discredit/discount regular season stats (e.g. Stat Padford etc...) then we can assume that means the postseason is the end-all be-all. So if Julian Edelman is 2nd all time in NFL History behind only Jerry Rice in postseason WR stats and has 3 rings and a Super Bowl MVP to boot then he must be a Hall Of Famer right? If regular season stats can be discredited as just garbage time yards and receptions with the majority of players never winning anything then a WR with the 2nd best postseason career ever arguably eclipses almost any regular season career accumulation does it not? I'm not saying he should be 100%. I just feel there should be more nuance in the discussion is all

    I don't think he is a hall of famer but the case for him is easy. The Patriots offense never ran through one man. His stats were always going to be muted. Had he of been the focal point he could have had gaudy stats and pro bowls. Not unlike Wes Welker. What he was asked to do he did at a hall of fame clip. Moving the chains on third down. Blocking. Jules has had the most incredible blocks you have ever seen. Tackling. The guy could tackle. Electric returns. He was a dominant returner. He played DB and he has thrown touchdown passes.
    This is admittedly a could have argument. I understand that and that's why I say he isn't a hall of famer but what I won't do is pretend that he couldn't have been. Especially when we have evidence. In the playoffs when he was asked to do more he did. He proved he could put up numbers when he was asked. In fact he proved he could do anything on the field of play outside of kicking when he was asked to do it.

    Why do you have to have production in the regular season? OBVIOUSLY, the patriots didn’t even need it! If you were a baseball player who didn’t make any all star teams, but cranked fifty homers and seventy rbis in the playoffs, you’re first ballot. You MADE the playoffs and then when you got there, you performed. Sap is basically saying racism is the reason Hines ward can’t get in but we’re discussing Edelman. I’m black, I know what he’s coding. How come Hines ward isn’t second to Jerry Rice?

    • @blackanimelover18
      @blackanimelover18 3 года назад

      Being a hall of famer is about being the best of the best. Edelman isn't even a top 20 receiver of his own era, hell he's not even the best white receiver of his era lol. Regular season matters because that's when the playing field is the most even. The only reason Edelman has such high playoff numbers is because he got carried to them by Brady. Would Edelman even be a thing without Brady? No. And that's the thing about being a hall of famer, a hall of famer is great no matter what. Jerry Rice is Jerry Rice with or without Montana. Hines Ward was a WAAAAY better receiver than Edelman and he's got the playoff stats as well and he can't even get into the hall. Edelman isn't even better than a guy like Greg Jennings or Wes Welker.

    • @LKaramazov
      @LKaramazov 3 года назад +1

      @@blackanimelover18 do you really think we’d be talking about pippin if he didn’t play with Jordan? Edelman ran the routes, and made the catches in the clutch. Catches when it doesn’t matter don’t count. Take any great receiver, many of them perform on off games and rack up stats when the other team might not even be motivated, and then when the playoffs come, they somehow can’t get separation.he get s separation in the clutch, he runs his routes right, and he makes difficult catches when the other team is highly motivated. Think about it. Like Colin Cowherd says, Don’t just try to be right, get it right.
