I also want to add that that kukri blade was a great reference, again, to Stoker. And possibly a dig at one particular Tzimisce patron of the literary arts. And he knows it.
So that was one of the few and rare instances of a Gangrel taking on a prey animal form. Unless peacocks have been predators this entire time. Also, I believe someone involved in production took a lot of chairitable liberties with Bram Stoker's depiction of vampires able to appear in sunlight, though weaker. Clearly a conflict with the Kindred propaganda set at White Wolf at the time. It is good to see your return and commentary again, fellow Gentleman.
peafowl and many other members of Phasianidae like chickens and turkey are actually predator birds, scratching for seed and hunting for insects and small animals like mice, lizards, and smaller birds. remember the chicken is the closest living relative of the t-rex, peafowl are on that same branch of that phylogenetic tree. .
OMG OMG I'm such a big fan or your work. Is it true that the Giovani wanted to sue the studio for copyright infringement after the Brujah totally ripped off their brand in the show?
That's still tied up in litigation 30 years on! You know how vampire law works: it outlasts and outlives mortal lawyers. But I make the same argument now as I did then: there's nothing stopping a Brujah being a gangster! It's not like the Giovanni have exclusivity on that racket!
@TheGentlemanGamer It was really entertaining! I recall when this aired and even in my youth, having just discovered Vampire the Masquerade, I couldn't take it seriously. It's so funny that you brought it back with the commentary! Well executed! I hope you have time for others moving forward. Also, nice work on The World Below! Loving the campaign on Red Moon too!
It remains hilarious to me exactly how low effort and budget this show was. Like, all they had to do was film inside. Or maybe use the classic blue filter. But no. They just straight up had vamps running around in direct sunlight one minute, and dying from sunlight the next. It was such a hot mess of not even trying, though at least some of the actors were doing their best despite the circumstances.
So, one of my PCs is a Toreador writer who authors romantic vampire novels. I plan for there to be a Masquerade breach so public that he gets summoned along with several others to put together a production which can make this breach look like a marketing stunt for a Vampire movie/series/whatever they come up with. During his brief about Kindred's long history with manipulating their media image, THIS is definitely being played. 😂
@@TheGentlemanGamer I hope so as well, i am rather saddened by amount of cynicism i see from some fans, i understand them of course, but still. We all wish good games in the end, and i want to give developers a chance, a lot has happened since Bloodlines 2 first announcement, and despite all the setbacks, a part of me still wishes to believe it will not be a flop. With commentary the scenes are improved 300%.

Oh yes, we had that artistic ambition.
This show being informational PSAs about what not to do for Camarilla fledglings is a fantastic idea
It's the only reason it could exist.

@@TheGentlemanGamer Sure, but no self respecting Brujah would wear a suit. 😋
@@Fangs1978 Sounds like Toreador stereotyping to me!
@@TheGentlemanGamer Well someone has to stereotype and who better than the Toreador.
man if only they went in a Forever Knight direction instead of what Kindred was... sigh ... still bought the box set though.
Sucker!
Sir, these Kindred: The Embraced parody clips are some of the finest pieces of content I've seen uploaded by you. =D
Haha. Omg this series always cracked me up. For all the reasons the commentary nails on point too!
Glad you enjoy it!
@TheGentlemanGamer absolutely fantastic. I was literally "laughing out loud". Well done, Gentleman

They use the blue filter too, most specifically in the pilot. Check out the video on my channel called The Other Brujah for an example.

Great show director, so glad that you're involved in Bloodlines 2!
I'm not, but thank you!
@@TheGentlemanGamer You are in our hearts. And if the game comes out bad, it will be your fault!
@@AjaXxXDenia I accept that blame completely.
Expect teenage drama level of storytelling in Bloodlines 2.

I hope it's a good game! I doubt I'll be playing it, but I'm sure plenty of people will.

We have an example one for our actual plays. I'll have to see if we can release it.
