How To Make Your Own Easter Island Head Mold Cheap Without Silicone

  • Now you can make a DIY cement Easter Island head at home with your own mold. It requires plaster of pairs which is much cheaper than silicone.
The mold is pretty strong and relatively light weight due to the way its constructed but it will need 2 or 3 days to dry out in the sun or it will stay heavy due to water retention in such thick plaster.
This particular head is going in a garden where it could be damaged, so I made it of nearly solid cement, however to make life easier and if the statue is going to be placed somewhere more suitable you could fill it with "styrofoam concrete" which would make it significantly lighter. Which I will demonstrate on upcoming videos

@@zacdaddiy8195 You will see your channel grow. Just be consistent and eventually it will be monetised. Having said that, the little detail is what makes it stand out from other channels. Thanx again.

As a process of creating the mold is very interesting, but does not look too much like the moai of Easter Island, lacking the profiled nose, pronounced chin and rounded forehead characteristic of these statues, not to mention that the lips are not so separated from the nose.

I can't believe it just came out of the mold...thought you'd have to break it out!
