Nice creativity, but that amount of fish in this pond will die shortly or be miserable. People don't realize but Koi fish likes deep water for security and temperature regulation. Also, it seems heavily overstocked for the amount of swim space. Instead of Koi, I'd suggest smaller schooling fish. The central piece is a nice gimmick but if the water just passes over the media instead of through it, no real filtration is being made here, also, it takes much space that the fish would be happier with. The location of this pond is also bad, it is over concrete, with a layer of brick and concrete, it will get HOT, specially if this video is from Vietnam, where I think it is, and there it gets very hot, that amount of water will probably cook the fish, but perhaps that is the goal? The brickwork was nicely done, but the raw brick gives a unfinished look. Also, some epoxi sealant on the inside would not hurt since concrete and bricks are very porous, that water will need constant replenishment due to evaporation. Nice gimmick, but I'd pass on it.
I like the design. It's like a miniature creek. I'd fill the central spaces with rocks and have the water come in at the top and leave at the bottom to go to the next space. I don't know what that media is, but I don't like it. Use rocks and add wild pond water. Get some worms and crustaceans in there. Then you need some rocks and and a lot of plants in the main area, and use minnows, not koi. I agree also that the koi will be miserable....

@masterspin7796 calcium hydroxide isn't toxic. It can make balancing the pH difficult initially, but reduces over time as the concrete cures. Calcium hydroxide is added to water all the time in treatment plants to reduce hard water corrosivness to plumbing and to help remove other heavy minerals.
